View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Belkin wireless network adapter for my HP windows 7 computer, and the checkout woman said it would work.
Unfortunately, it does not work. at first, it was just dodgy, connecting with only a small connection. It started getting better, but it would always cut out after a while.
A friend of mine tried to fix it, using lots of methods including the xlink kai method and others including downloading the drivers and another one which I can't remember. None have worked.
Has anyone got a really easy, fool-proof, easy understandable way to make this work please?
I wonder if anyone has got this one to work, I've tried everything, I did have problems with it on Windows XP also, but always got it to work after a while, but now it seem impossible to get it working and im in desperate need for help!
I've installed the latest drivers and when it tells me to plug in the USB adapter, I do that but then it says it can't find it but it did install the software and such so I reboot a few times to see if it starts working, but no, it just wont work, i've done the compability thing also but still doesnt want to work.
I read alot topics on this forum to try solve my problem. I found in here 2 topics about Belkin Wireless G USB adapter , but still i have a problem

On this laptop, we tried to connect to our router via this USB Network adapter. We went into 'Manage wireless networks' and disabled the Belkin Wireless adapter, to see what would happen if we re-enabled it. But after we disabled it, it dissapeared. We can't even set it up again. what do we do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI believed the hype, waited to buy a new computer until 7 came out. Been doing this since before there even WAS Windows, and it does it to me every time. Everything was supposed to work that worked with Vista, which was supposed to run everything that ran on XP, etc. - I got the computer, a Compaq desktop, got a Linksys wireless adapter to go with it. Wouldn't install. Wouldn't even recognize the dang thing was plugged in.
Called Linksys, talked to some woman in Indonesia who told me there was no driver for Windows 7 yet. Went back to BestBuy where I got the adapter, thinking they could help. Seems their geeks aren't any geekier than I am. Got a refund, bought a Belkin G family. At least the computer recognized that the Belkin is plugged in, and it knows there is a signal, but it refuses to connect.
That's weird. Good signal, knows it is a Motorola adapter, but will NOT connect! Re-installed it in compatibility mode. It just laughs at me. Seriously, can I go back to DOS? Barring that, is there anything else I can do besides wait for an adapter to ship with a driver that works on 7?
I already successfully installed win 7 today.
All my hardware working great except my wifi usb adapter.

anyone can find the driver for my adapter?
I installed Window 7 on my laptop. Everything ran pretty well, so I decided to give it a try on my desktop.
I had a little hard time installing Belkin USB driver, but it wasn't anything complicated. Then I installed Steam. The nightmare happened.... The wireless would work for about 5 minutes. Then it just die. I did everything I could imagine, but nothing helped unless I restarted the computer. Then again.... 5 minutes,,, it's dead.
I reinstalled Window 7 again just for the heck of it with USB + Steam. AND THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN! The third time I decided to go easy on my Window 7. I installed everything but Steam, and the wireless works just fine for 5 weeks! Does anyone have the same problem? & is there any solution out there?
Anyways i just got my windows 7 ultimate working and everything is working fine expect my network adapter. I installed the vista drivers found on the belkin website. Which did the trick and made it work. But i noticed every 2 hours or so the adapter would disconnect from my internet while everyone else in the house who are on xp/vista works percfectly.
Now im not sure if this is because my network adapter isn't compatilbe with windows 7 or something else. Oh and im using Belkin Wire G+ Mimo ver 3001
Can anyone help me out, and also is anyone else getting this problem If there is nothing i can do what network adapter would you guys recommend which works with windows 7 and i can get in the uk :P?
unlike others my wireless network covers least distance(0.3m from access point while for the others it is full at 5mentres

I uninstalled DriverUpdate, still doesn't work. I've tried clearing dns cashe at cmd, that didn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter installed in my Asus Eee PC. Whenever I wake up the computer from hibernate or sleep, the wireless adapter takes a full minute or more before it will actually connect to a network. Once it is awake and connected, I have no issues, and I have no problems connecting to different networks. So it is working as intended most of the time. When starting up the computer from "off," it is usually fine as well, since the amount of time it takes to fully start up the computer is usually about enough time for the adapter to get going (though not always).I cannot ever "quickly" look something up on the computer, as I have to wait a few minutes in order to be connected to the internet. Has anyone had or heard of this problem? I checked and the driver is up to date.

Problem as following: Everytime I start the pc after one or two minutes I lost my internet connection and when I try to restart the pc it hangs when shutting pc is showed, forcing me to shut it down only whit the power button.
I have tried to install the vista x64 driver that I have for this network adapter but cannot installed since is onlyfor vista x64, neither in compatibilty mode. After a few research managed to installed it via safe mode. and by now is working good but device manager shows a warning icon and a Cannot start device code 10.
any knows is theres a win 7 update driver?? can I just keep ignoring the code 10 till this bug is fixed??
I just finished building a new PC and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit today.I have an ASUS Wireless PCI Express Adapter (PCE-N13 802.11 b/g/n). DSL, with a Linksys rounter. Theres just a red X mark on the taskbar and it won't show any open connections =/. I have several wireless devices that work even outside the range which is about maybe 5 meters away from the router. Its pretty much impossible for me to run a wired connection to my PC and need to have a wireless one since theres many tables/couches/chairs inbetween the router and my new PC.

USB wireless adapter is dlink DWA-130C, driver installed properly and windows 7 32bit detected it correctly as DWA-130C on device manager but it could not find any network in my area.
When I do troubleshoot, windows tell me that driver may not installed properly.
FYI it happened with my older G USB adapter too, when I uninstall the driver to update, it installed normally but then it does not detect any network. I have to do system restore to make it work again.
Any idea?
I cant see available network on my network list. Troubleshooting says "There might be problem with your driver". In device manager, it say"Your driver is working properly"..

I am hoping to find one for a 802.11b/g network where the drivers are not flaky and the unit does not randomly disconnect.
The WUSB600N from Cisco/LinkSys does not seem to fit into this category.
I tried to update avg on hubs laptop so the kids can play and now after I did it we can't get online period!! on the tool bar were the connection pic is says limited connection? So I did all of the steps to fix ect and it finally came up to.
- There might be a problem w/the drivers for the wireless connection2 adapter
- There might be a problem w/the drivers for the local area connection adapter
MY actual modem is good as we have 3 running right now - should I go to restore point before avg in the critical update moments before I realizes this problem?
I've been using windows 7 32 bit for quite awhile now. But i really want to use the 64 bit windows. However i face the problem that right after my wireless installation, i am unable to get windows to recognise my wireless adapter.
As such i cant install the driver and since i lack the internet, i am unable to run windows driver update, so i cant search for the driver online. any ideas how i can solve this problem other than buying a new wireless adapter? im using a linksys wireless- G, model No: WUSB54G, wireless adapter
I can't get my Network Adapter to work. I tried installing the drivers included on the CD, but that didn't help much either.
I tried importing them with DriverMax aswell, but that didn't solve the problem either.
How can I get it to work? I'm running 64bit version of 7.
Nevermind, already found the right drivers.
Last night my wireless adapter (Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter) stopped working. In the properties it says it is working properly, however,it will not find a single wireless network to connect to, only the big red X over the icon in the system tray. My wife's laptop which is 5 feet from mine, finds our network as well as several of our neighbors. I upgraded to Windows 7 last month, so this morning I tried updating drivers, installed these but still the big red X. My laptop will work with the ethernet cable plugged in, just not wireless.I am stumped because it says it is working properly in the properties menu and not returning any errors during troubleshooting. I know its not my router, as my xbox, ipod touch, android phone, and wife's laptop can connect and work fine. Since she and I have the same laptop, I made sure that our properties settings were the same this morning as well, and they match up.
View 9 Replies View Related"Problem with the driver for Wireless Adapter".I have an HP-Pavilion 2009f with Windows 7 home premium 64-bit. All has been fine with my internet connection, except for a few drops here and there, but all in all it has been tolerable. When I went to bed last night it worked, when I woke up, it didn't. When I troubleshoot I get the message, "There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection Adapter", to which Windows cannot fix. I get this same error message, respectively, for both wired and wireless connections. After troubleshooting without success, I decided to try and do system update.I am only connected with "Limited Access".What's even weirder is when I open a cmd window and enter ipconfig /all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy new Samsung laptop has just stopped allowing me access to the internet. Its not a problem with the router as I have a wired connection to a desktop that is fine. My laptop has been working ok but now I just get 'Limited Access' from the status bar. All the other checks have been made with ISP the Intel(R) Centrino(R) wireless N130 is supposed to be working according to the network properties dialogue box. Also have wired the ethernet from desktop to laptop and still the same response so narrowing it down to the possible driver software.
