I get this error when trying to create a new data access page in MS Access 2003:OLE Server is not registered.To register the OLE server, reinstall it.Now, I have no idea what that is but it's halting progress that is wasting precious time.
View 3 RepliesI get this error message when i boot up Windows 7:Wireless Configuration: Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly.When i turn it on it goes into Windows Error Recovery mode and only gives me the options of Safe Mode or Start Windows normally.Whichever I choose looks like it's loading up but when it gets to the blue Win 7 Welcome screen the error message pops up.The only option is to click OK. When I do, nothing happens the page blinks on and off and won't go any further until I do a hard shut down.Before this happened i was trying to uninstall Windows live messenger.

I use my computer for logging amateur radio contacts and e-mail primarily.I uninstalled a program yesterday that I guess I shouldn't have. It was Roxio.After doing this I tried to open one of the logging programs. These programs are used for logging contacts,controling and following my radio as well as my antenna rotor, puts me on telnet and it even sends morse code fom the Function keys.Anyway when trying to open the program I ger an 'error 39' Component MScomm32.osx or one of it's dependencies is missing or unregistered.I had the same problem with another file and after spending over 60 bucks, I got it fixed... but they would only answer that one question and I couldn't follow up with other problems.Another program I use exhibits basically the same problem but it is MSINET.ocx.
I installed Registry Booster on my mom's laptop. I used a video to slightly hack the registry to get it for free (don't interrogate me, she needed a cleanup badly). Reinstall2 - rmorsm.dll not registeredI did a SFC /scannow as stated in SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and although it found and repaired some errors, none were of the 2 I mentioned above, and they reappeared also after doing the SFC scan.I even did several scans, but the problem still occurs.Googling either of these 2 error messages only yields: Missing Files but no side effects, which led me to the SFC scan in the 1st place, which solved the problem for him, but persist for me.

I recently bought the PC game The Movies. I tried downloading but "Compatibility Issues" and "Library Not Registered" shows up. So I went "Computer" right clicked the game "Open in new Window" than tried to install it by "Run as Administrator" on Setup. But nothing seems to happen, instead my computer starts to make jittery noises. I've tried this several times.

When I bring the laptop home and try to access the shares on the desktop, I am asked to enter user and pass (ok, I use the admin account on that desktop), the Seven shows me the list of shares. Very good, you might say. That is so until you try to enter the shares when it pops a "network error": "Windows cannot acess \xp-desktopshare1 You do no have permission to access \xp-desktopshare1. Contact your network administrator to request access." What access?! These are full shares for the admin account used to authenticate.
I have a third machine with Seven on it, this time a personal machine, not registered to a domain, and with this one I can properly access the shares mentioned earlier. Also, my laptop from work, can properly access shares from my work place and shares on the personal laptop with Seven on it. So this issue happens only when trying to access shares on XP at home.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave been a LONG LONG user of Linux as a server (hosting VM's XP / Windows 7 mix) and file / print sharing.
I used to avoid MS like the plague as far as SERVER environments are concerned - probably because my first experince was Windows NT (Windows NeanderThal or Windows No Thanks) which was SO HORRIBLE that it put me off Windows servers for ages.
(Note I'm using a server in a HOME environment where we have around 8 machines (most of which are actually mine for testing -- not a corporate environment which has other considerations).
The problem now with the latest Linux distros that they are trying to be "A Better Windows than Windows". You can of course customize them but I haven't got the time or patience to do this any more. To select what packages to install / leave out now is a 100% pain and if you do it wrong the chances are the system will give errors.
I've looked at the new SUSE 11.2 -- slick and polished - bit I don't NEED "an alternative Windows".
I've just been looking at Windows Server 2008 R2 (got it from Technet) and I'm REALLY IMPRESSED with it so far. I've installed the STANDARD version - you don't need datacenter or Enterprise version for a home server.
It runs vmware server on it just fine (although I might go the whole hog and use the Hyper-V virtualisation -- need to do a bit more research).
I'm quite happy letting MS do the updates than having to mess around with Kernel compiles etc.
Incidentally as a HOME server there are some considerations that you might want to do to make it more like a Desktop OS than a pure server for example add multi-media to it.

I'm sure these 2 issues are related as they started at the exact same time.The first issue is a "Class not Registered" error whenever I try to "Open containing folder" or such. For example right clicking a download in Firefox and choosing that presents the error, as well as clicking "Show in Windows Explorer" in iTunes.However clicking "Open file location" on a shortcut is fine.The next issue is whenever a 3rd party program opens an Explorer window there is no nav bar on the side. This happens in any program, such as when choosing a new profile picture in Steam or uploading an image to Imgur.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a 2006 acer laptop that just recently decided not to get onto the internet. it will connect to the network but no internet. i have looked at more forums than i can count but to no avail. i will try to list the problems/symptoms but i am not familiar with programming language and don't know exactly what all the command prompts are suppoed to achieve and the like.-isatap ipv6 adapter is not working (some people say it does'nt matter but???)-ip address starts with 169-ipconfig /release and release6 does not workbecause "an address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint"-ipconfig /flushdns does not work because "function failed during execution"-cannot displaydns because "dns cache is unavailable"-cannot registerdns because "rpc server is unavailable"-checked my services and found some dependant ones that i could not manually start ERROR1075: DNS client service, tcp/ip netbios helper, routing and remote access, internetconnection sharing (ics). all failed to start with the same error code 1075-ERROR 10022- netlogon service-tried "netsh int ip reset" but reset echo request failed. "access denied". i am the admin for this computer. it worked the first time i tried it with no errors. now i get the failed echo message.
-cannot setclassid "as know adapter is in a state permissable for this action"-i saw something about the dhcp-read on one forum that people were having trouble after deleting norton(symantc) programs. i have deleted norton programs and think i got all of them (how to be sure?)-netsh winsock reset successfully-tried regrepair, regseeker, and a few of those "free download" programs that say they will fix your problems after you register/purchase them. i figure if the computer can stop working so easily i can get it to start as easily. maybe that's naivety speaking.-i have scanned my cpu for viruses (naturally) with 3-4 different programs (maybe norton would have found something).clean-thought it might have something to do with the registery since i had a nasty virus everal months ago that i think changed it somehow.-of course my system restore points are dated after this problem occured.-i bought the computer at staples and it did not come with a windows startup disc.

when i connect to the wireless internet, my laptop seems to be connecting, but taking longer than usual.
i have flushed the dns cache, and disabled IPv6
Today, my house got new internet. Now, my desktop, which is plugged directly into the modem, can't connect to the DNS server. I have internet connection, since Skype and Steam both work, but any web browser only works about 15% of the time. Neither of the three wireless-connected laptops in the house are having any problems. I've tried a few things, but nothing seems to work.
