Library Not Registered Error - Cannot Install PC Game In Windows 7
Dec 8, 2012
I recently bought the PC game The Movies. I tried downloading but "Compatibility Issues" and "Library Not Registered" shows up. So I went "Computer" right clicked the game "Open in new Window" than tried to install it by "Run as Administrator" on Setup. But nothing seems to happen, instead my computer starts to make jittery noises. I've tried this several times.

We recently installed Yahoo messenger and suddenly the Library folder isn't showing any folders/files under the Administrator account. When I go to create a new Library it reads the following error message: "Unable to create the new file 'New Library.library-ms' File System Error: (16389)." Not only is the library no longer accessible, but I cannot access any of the Music, Pictures or Documents from the Start Menu.I am only able to access the folders using the search bar by selecting "User Name" from the drop down box, then suddenly everything's there. It will not allow me to drag/drop anything into the Library folder or even create a new one.

I just bought a BRAND NEW Gateway ZX Series All-in-One. It was fine. I migrated all my data from my old PC to the new PC. Took about 24 hours to do so. Said it was successful. Have had some registry errors which were fixed by the tech support I purchased computer from. NEW PROBLEM. When I first turn on PC and it boots up and periodically--It keeps coming more and more frequently--I keep getting the following errors...PLEASE HELP! I have NO IDEA what to do but it seems they're getting worse. I've tried AntiMalware Scan, Registry Scans which find errors, supposedly run a "fix" but I'm still getting the same errors. Seem to be a problem with the "Dynamic Link Library wbemcomn.dll" What is that and how do I fix it? How do I fix DLL errors? I have a problem when I click on a particular folder in my computer. (I don't have to open it, I only have to select it).I get an error message from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library saying, 'This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information'. The application (which I assume is Windows Explorer), has to restart. I have no problems selecting any other folders. The problem folder is on my external hard drive, which hasn't been connected for a couple of weeks. But I then found that the error occurred on that folder's copy on the internal drive. (The two drives are not synced - I had simply made a back-up copy about a month ago).

I am trying to share my MUSIC folder on my Windows Home Server (WHS) to my Music Library.
Pretty simply structure, so thought this should not be a problem. If I add the entire folder to the Library only 1/3 of my songs are listed. In trying to understand what is happening I found that only 2 of the 5 sub-folders under MUSIC are included (Songs1 and Songs5).
Starting over, I removed the "MUSIC" folder from the Library and then proceeded to add each sub-folder indivually. What I found is I could add 2 sub-folders (Songs1 and Songs5), but adding the other 3 sub-folders returned an error message, "this network location can't be included because it is not indexed". If I add any new folder under MUSIC I can't add it to the Library either.
I'm thinking this has to be some type of security or user issue but can't think of what it would be since some of the sub-folders under MUSIC can be recognized, while others, including new folders, can not be added. Anyone have any suggestions?

if this issue is Gimp related or not, I just noticed it a few days after installing Gimp 2.6.
Their is a weird folder named "WINDOWSTEMPDIR_FONTCONFIG_CACHE" in my Pictures Library. After searching I haven't been able to determine what this folder is for or why it was created. Is it OK to delete it or should I move it, leave it alone or what?

I have a toshiba laptop running windows 7 32bit and made some changes to folder ownership that has wrecked havoc on my machine. I am the only user for this machine and am listed at the administrator. The changes I made were under the "users" folder, and the folder that listed my name. I don't even recall why I was tinkering with it but made a change under file folder properties/security/ownership. Since that change, it has done many things, including removing files and folders from my desktop and computer that do not show up anymore at all. It has blocked me from the c: drive. aApop up upon start up stats microsoft visual runtime library error c:program files. and on and on.
I have done a system restore to prior when I made the changes to no avail. it does the restore, but does not change the folder ownership or issues I am having. I have tried to reset the folder under options to a previous setting but that has not worked and now has me blocked from even going into my c: all together.. saying access denied. I have had no luck under control panel fixing this and have done more harm than good. Is there an easy way to get back control of my computer and regain the files that are not showing up. I have been looking for a way, similar to system restore, to reverse the changes to file ownership and give me control of my computer again. I would think this would be easy since im the system admin but no luck so far.

I have an old game called City Life 2008 Edition, which works fine on my Windows XP PC, however apparently it isn't compatible with my Windows 7 laptop. It won't even let me install the game the first time I tried it started installing but then it froze and crashed. And now when I try to install it, when the screen comes up after you except the terms and conditions it asks you to choose a saving folder for the game, and the continue button is grey (inactive), so I can't install it!!
I figured it's not compatible, how do I make it compatible?
I tried going to 'my computer' after I inserted the disk and right clicking 'properties' but there isn't anything about compatibility.

The launcher runs when I put the disc in, but when I click install I get the following message: The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.I've tried running the game in Windows 98 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator but with no results!

I have a laptop with Windows7 from work, registered to the domain from my company. At home I have a desktop with XP with shares on it. When I bring the laptop home and try to access the shares on the desktop, I am asked to enter user and pass (ok, I use the admin account on that desktop), the Seven shows me the list of shares. Very good, you might say. That is so until you try to enter the shares when it pops a "network error": "Windows cannot acess \xp-desktopshare1 You do no have permission to access \xp-desktopshare1. Contact your network administrator to request access." What access?! These are full shares for the admin account used to authenticate.
I have a third machine with Seven on it, this time a personal machine, not registered to a domain, and with this one I can properly access the shares mentioned earlier. Also, my laptop from work, can properly access shares from my work place and shares on the personal laptop with Seven on it. So this issue happens only when trying to access shares on XP at home.

I'm having some performance decrease on my new Build. I bought a new motherboard, Hard Drive and CPU Cooler and had to re-install windows to get my new board to work properly. I've noticed that now in League of Legends my frame rate is around 40-70 when I used to have a constant 150+ even in hectic situations where lots of things were going on at one time. I have the latest AMD Drivers, 13.1. I have tried reverting back to 12.10 to see if its the new version that's causing the problem, but its the same. [code]

When I install a game in Windows 7 and Windows recognizes it it dumps the game's shortcut in the Game folder of the Start Menu. That wouldn't be a problem except Windows 7 prevents the game from creating the shortcuts it would have created had the operating system not been Windows 7- things like the game's Read Me, Uninstaller & Configuration options.

I get this error message when i boot up Windows 7:Wireless Configuration: Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly. When i turn it on it goes into Windows Error Recovery mode and only gives me the options of Safe Mode or Start Windows normally.Whichever I choose looks like it's loading up but when it gets to the blue Win 7 Welcome screen the error message pops up.The only option is to click OK. When I do, nothing happens the page blinks on and off and won't go any further until I do a hard shut down. Before this happened i was trying to uninstall Windows live messenger.
