Pc Freeze Completely When Playing Game
Oct 29, 2011I've been having this issue for a while but it hasn't done it for a couple of months. When i'm on a game or doing anything on my pc really, it will randomly freeze up and the last sound note will play over and over. One of the times it happened I recorded the screen (URl)..layer_embedded when this happens everything becomes unresponsive and I'm forced to turn it off at the back. I've tried everything to solve this issue and nothing has worked.

Apr 10, 2012I have a custom built computer that i finished almost a year ago then bout 3 months ago, it start shutting down completely while I was playing The Old Republic no Blue Screens. I thought at first since it was just shutting down and not BSODing it was either my GPU or PSU, I have now replaced both with pretty decent upgrades, and booted some games like counter strike source, minecraft, orcs must die, and still happens.

Mar 19, 2012I have a old laptop that I installed w7 on. I was getting slow, so I wanted to get it so empty as possible. I have backed up all my files. Now I want everything to go, and start with a virgin windows 7.
When I installed win 7 it saved all my files to windows old (as it should) and all programs are left int c:/programfiles/.
How can I get rid of everything? I tried clean in the diskpart command. But it says it cannot(because of having system files on it).
WeatherBug Won't Completely Install
Jan 2, 2013I got a new desktop pc last aug. I installed WeatherBug on it as I have been using that program for years. Well it quit working about 2 months ago. Since then I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall at least 6 times. Uninstall seems to work well. Downloading the install program from WeatherBug.com seems to go well. Problem is: the install program seems to run appropriately, allowing personal preferences to be selected, but when the "finished" button is selected the flipping hourglass cursor functions for about 3 seconds then NOTHING. WeatherBug is listed in the start menu and "all programs"; but the same nothingness occurs when I select it from these 2 locations. Also, the only WB icon on the desktop is for the Install program. I'm using AVG Free Antivirus and the windows firewall. I can't seem to find whatever is blocking the fuctioning of WeatherBug.

How To Completely Format Only Local Disk - Not Just Custom Install
Feb 16, 2012I'm well aware that you can boot from the CD and do a quick format during Windows 7 installation, but that's not what I need. I want wipe the disk in it's entirety before installing Windows. I'm getting some weird messages about disk errors during start-up and the EVGA tech support suggested that my last fresh install (done earlier today) didn't remove everything that was on the hard drive. I can't remember what he called it, but he said it could be less than a kb and cause the motherboard to try and boot from a partition that doesn't exist, giving me the errors. Is there some kind of formatting utility I can burn to a disc and wipe my local disk with?

Aug 8, 2011I have an old game called City Life 2008 Edition, which works fine on my Windows XP PC, however apparently it isn't compatible with my Windows 7 laptop. It won't even let me install the game the first time I tried it started installing but then it froze and crashed. And now when I try to install it, when the screen comes up after you except the terms and conditions it asks you to choose a saving folder for the game, and the continue button is grey (inactive), so I can't install it!!
I figured it's not compatible, how do I make it compatible?
I tried going to 'my computer' after I inserted the disk and right clicking 'properties' but there isn't anything about compatibility.

Aug 16, 2011All right, so I recently bought a new computer (it was refurbished)
I've done a lot of tweaking on it already, I installed a new video card and put in a new power supply unit. I am also dualbooting into both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04. On my windows 7 boot, I installed oblivion. Fully installed it on the first try, then after a small issue concerning mods, I had to re-install. It reinstalled fine, but then I realized that I had installed it overtop all the files from the mods (in C:/.../oblivon). So I had to reinstall again. No big deal I though. Well! Now it is giving me a ton of problems.
During the install it gives me the error 0x80070017 and says it can't install. I looked up the error on google and it says that it's data corruption. It happens every time! I've rebooted, uninstalled / reinstalled other games, triple checked that there was nothing in C:/oblivion, everything I can think of.

Windows 7 / IE 9 - Some Pages Will Not Load Completely
Oct 20, 2012My HP desktop with Windows 7 and IE9 has had issues on some websites since I've had it. The issues are that some pages will not load completely or load at all and the back button sometime will work and sometime it will not. All of these issues are random and intermittent on the same sites. Sometimes the refresh button will work and sometimes it will not. It seems that if they work at all they should work all of the time but I don't know enough about computer systems to understand. Some say I should change to another browser. I've tried Google Chrome and Firefox and they have their problems as well. I know I can't be the only one having these type issues. I delete cookies on a regular schedule.

Nov 22, 2012Well i had bough Gta IV for pc. And after some updates required by the game it needed to restart my pc, when it booted back up, it had said some files were corrupted and i couldnt boot the OS. I tried installing, but it kept saying boot Mgr was missing, and said to press ctrl alt and delete and restarted the system. After weeks of trying, i used an actual program on my laptop and burned an iso of windows 7 to a disc. I went thru the install and after using any somewhat demanding task or program like internet explorer it would freeze, mouse, keyboard, etc would freeze. I had to hard reset it. Now most of the time it gets to where it shows the green, blue and red colors or something spinning to form the windows logo and then freezes. Ive tried various methods of switching around hardware like video cards, switchin ram, etc. Still same results. Ran memtest and cant get results due to it freezing.
