Mmc.exe Class Not Registered Error
Nov 1, 2009Haven't had this error since Win 2000, but after installing a clean copy of Windows 7 on my workstation, and a number of programs, when I try to run mmc from the run prompt I get a Class Not Registered Error, which is causing havoc on all my software installations.how to fix or re-register?

All Video Files Give Error On Playback - Class Not Registered
Jul 13, 2012The title explains it all just restored my computer and now any kind of videos files i try to play give me the error "Class not registered" what do I do? I did update all my video drivers.

Jul 2, 2012This issues started a few days ago. At first I didn't think much of it, but after restarting a few times and it still being there I'm starting to wonder how to fix this. I'm sure these 2 issues are related as they started at the exact same time.The first issue is a "Class not Registered" error whenever I try to "Open containing folder" or such. For example right clicking a download in Firefox and choosing that presents the error, as well as clicking "Show in Windows Explorer" in iTunes.However clicking "Open file location" on a shortcut is fine.The next issue is whenever a 3rd party program opens an Explorer window there is no nav bar on the side. This happens in any program, such as when choosing a new profile picture in Steam or uploading an image to Imgur.

Apr 8, 2012I have an awesome fan app (FAN Xpert) that I have been using on my Rampage IV Rig. I recently did a re-install of Win 7 (about a week ago) and it has yet to run. It actually is part of suite of utilities that comes bundled with ASUS Mobo's. I have installed it a number of times in the past and have never had any problems. First thing I did was uninstall and re-install I used Revo Uninstaller in safe mode. The problem re-occurred so I then did a regular uninstall.Next I ran SFC.I got a bunch of errors (11) that were all Explorer.exe based. I then replaced Explorer with a fresh copy from the Windows 7 DVD. still Class not recognized. I don't use any of those Registry repair utilities as I have found them to be more detrimental then helpful. So far I have had no problems with any other Apps.

Apr 22, 2012I get this error message when i boot up Windows 7:Wireless Configuration: Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly.When i turn it on it goes into Windows Error Recovery mode and only gives me the options of Safe Mode or Start Windows normally.Whichever I choose looks like it's loading up but when it gets to the blue Win 7 Welcome screen the error message pops up.The only option is to click OK. When I do, nothing happens the page blinks on and off and won't go any further until I do a hard shut down.Before this happened i was trying to uninstall Windows live messenger.

Dec 28, 2012I am having an issue when I startup my win7 pro machine. I get an error stating that it cannot locate the main class utils.vm.preloader. I have read several forums and they have suggested I do the following:
1 .Completely uninstall, reboot and reinstall JRE.
2. Change the PATH environmental variable in the system settings to the correct path. I set it to "CProgram Files (x86)/Java/jre7/bin/"
3. Clear java cache in control panel
I have completed these tasks and the error still remains. I am able to go to the command line and run Cjava to get a listing, but not javac.
Even when I uninstalled java from my system and rebooted I still got the error, which I thought was strange. Any help would be great. I don't write any java code or play any video games so I don't know what is causing the issue. I checked the event view and saw absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.

I use my computer for logging amateur radio contacts and e-mail primarily.I uninstalled a program yesterday that I guess I shouldn't have. It was Roxio.After doing this I tried to open one of the logging programs. These programs are used for logging contacts,controling and following my radio as well as my antenna rotor, puts me on telnet and it even sends morse code fom the Function keys.Anyway when trying to open the program I ger an 'error 39' Component MScomm32.osx or one of it's dependencies is missing or unregistered.I had the same problem with another file and after spending over 60 bucks, I got it fixed... but they would only answer that one question and I couldn't follow up with other problems.Another program I use exhibits basically the same problem but it is MSINET.ocx.

When I bring the laptop home and try to access the shares on the desktop, I am asked to enter user and pass (ok, I use the admin account on that desktop), the Seven shows me the list of shares. Very good, you might say. That is so until you try to enter the shares when it pops a "network error": "Windows cannot acess \xp-desktopshare1 You do no have permission to access \xp-desktopshare1. Contact your network administrator to request access." What access?! These are full shares for the admin account used to authenticate.
I have a third machine with Seven on it, this time a personal machine, not registered to a domain, and with this one I can properly access the shares mentioned earlier. Also, my laptop from work, can properly access shares from my work place and shares on the personal laptop with Seven on it. So this issue happens only when trying to access shares on XP at home.

Feb 17, 2013I cannot print a Live Mail message using File->Print. It dies with error message "cannot supply requested class" naming line 2378 and code 0. File problem is res://ieframe.dll/previewjs.Other problem was WLM starting with "Message Database not found." For this one there was no Inbox messages, and several other folders were empty (all locally created by me). I spent a bit of time restoring my messages from Comcast and resorting my local files. then, I had to use saved folders in WLM to get some old messages. Then redelete messages from 1-2-2013 that were on Comcast. I dumbly downloaded IE10 to "try" it. It turns out you can't get rid of it, and I suspect that it is the source of these problems. However, you can't turn it off! I tried reinstalling IE9 and was told "it is already installed -- install failed." So I'm stuck with 10. I removed and reinstalled printer driver and every program works perfectly EXCEPT WLM, using ieframe.dll. I looked into replacing this dll with advice on the net, but there are things like REG Pro (or something like that) which are reviewed as causing problems and malware.
should I persist in trying to get a "new" copy of ieframe.dll or is that embedded in IE10? Can I get rid of IE10 and revert back to 9? Or what is solution; wait until IE10 is official and gets reinstalled? I wish I had noticed it was a Beta. When I installed it, the button read "Try it" which was all I was going to do. Meantime I installed Chrome so I have a backup browser. I am currently designing my monster gamer and when I get it glued together I'm not sure if I should go straight to Windows 8 or not. (I have one license left for 7 from a three chair version.)
