Microsoft Removed The Old Class Windows 7 Explorer?
Feb 15, 2011
In windows vista and windows 7 Microsoft removed the old class Windows Explorer .The old class Windows Explorer .Show a root directory ( The root directory is the highest directory level of a disk. The files and folders you see when you open (double-click) your hard disk icon are the contents of that disk's root directory) and windows explorer the displaying of directory tree hierarchyThe only thing that comes close to old class Windows Explorer is when a user click on computer ( for old windows user called my computer) and you see drive and you click (C) and + under C on split-pane, list on left .ut this crude way of doing it and when user types in run/search box in start manue it takes you to a more user profile page of things for user to work with than the admid will work with.
The old class Windows Explorer like computer ( for old windows user called my computer) is some you really did not want computer novice or young kid to go into. That why in old windows OS computer novice or young kid use my documents folder on the desktop and to run programs click start than all programs and click on the programs in the list and the admid will lock out of other areasThe Windows Explorer back in windows 3.1 was file manager this was not for novice or young kid to go into. Why is Microsoft changing this.
how do I get favorites listed in the toolbar? I used to have the word favorites and all I had to do was click on it to add to it Now,there is just the star for favorites and clicking just has a drop down menu and does not have a way to add something to favoriotes.
Upgraded from XP to Windows 7. When reloading my Microsoft Office Professional 2007, I loaded CD2 first. Can't get CD1 to load. My laptop is not online. Using husband's PC for this.

Windows 7, SP 1:In IE9, I am able to enable/disable any add-on except the WeCareReminder Class. I do not want this add-on & don't even know how it got installed. How can this be disabled? Do I need to re-install IE9?
I have an awesome fan app (FAN Xpert) that I have been using on my Rampage IV Rig. I recently did a re-install of Win 7 (about a week ago) and it has yet to run. It actually is part of suite of utilities that comes bundled with ASUS Mobo's. I have installed it a number of times in the past and have never had any problems. First thing I did was uninstall and re-install I used Revo Uninstaller in safe mode. The problem re-occurred so I then did a regular uninstall.Next I ran SFC.I got a bunch of errors (11) that were all Explorer.exe based. I then replaced Explorer with a fresh copy from the Windows 7 DVD. still Class not recognized. I don't use any of those Registry repair utilities as I have found them to be more detrimental then helpful. So far I have had no problems with any other Apps.
i leave my laptop opened cause im downloading a file and got this message. "exception eoutofresources in module vcl120.bpl at 000cd2f5 error creating window class"
Haven't had this error since Win 2000, but after installing a clean copy of Windows 7 on my workstation, and a number of programs, when I try to run mmc from the run prompt I get a Class Not Registered Error, which is causing havoc on all my software installations.how to fix or re-register?
i have this error when i start my pc it sounds like this:Java virtual machine launcher:Could not find the main clas:migo.Desktop.migoDesktopMenu.Program will close.
I am having an issue when I startup my win7 pro machine. I get an error stating that it cannot locate the main class utils.vm.preloader. I have read several forums and they have suggested I do the following:
1 .Completely uninstall, reboot and reinstall JRE.
2. Change the PATH environmental variable in the system settings to the correct path. I set it to "CProgram Files (x86)/Java/jre7/bin/"
3. Clear java cache in control panel
I have completed these tasks and the error still remains. I am able to go to the command line and run Cjava to get a listing, but not javac.
Even when I uninstalled java from my system and rebooted I still got the error, which I thought was strange. Any help would be great. I don't write any java code or play any video games so I don't know what is causing the issue. I checked the event view and saw absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.
This popped up all of a sudden when I went to windows update. "Cocreateinstance failed; code 0x80040154 class not registered".

I'm trying to format the above listed card through my Toshiba Sattilite 660-x running windows 7 w/ an sd adapter card slot from out of my Nokia E-5 cellphone. It keeps telling me in 6 attempts that windows cannot format it. Properties on the card show it as full, but it has never had more than 16gb put on it. As this card is not even 2 months old. Is there a site that can use to format this on freeware...etc?
i wanted to install xp since there were some program glitches in win vista and 7. now when i boot, it doesnt give me the option to boot into Windows 7. it was gone.i created a separate 20gb partition on the same hd as my Windows 7 and installed it onto that.should i repair my Windows 7 os and delete the xp? now i removed the xp partition and now it has no os to boot into.
I have a windows 7 64 bit system with 2 drives that have OS on them. Every morning it asks me which one to boot to. I choose the first one (the most recent SDD I put in). I did this because I needed more room for the software we use so it is larger than the first. The problem is, when I remove the smaller SDD (that I don't boot to), it will not boot. I've gone into the bios and made sure it is booting to the SDD, it just says loading operating system ........., then, after a minute is says Boot to DVD or USB.

i had Windows 7 installed on my mac with Parallels. Then when that gave me problem, I took i to the i-store to deactivate so I could install the Windows 7 on my pc rather. After they took off all programms, it still is not unactivated. But the program are removed. Now when I want to activate the windows 7 on my pc, it says the icence won't allow me to.
Am i blind or did they also remove that or do they have a replacement for it? Also what was the name of it again on Vista ?? Desktop share connection or something like that ??
What are some good programs you guy's might have tried or use to you would recommended ? [besides gotometting, HP's skyroom, sharedview, or any online versions]
All of a sudden my Win 7 Thinkpad t43 won't boot unless I take out the DVD device. When I power off snd remove the device it boots just fine. I was running fie for months.
I had the win 7 antivirus, virus on my laptop, i used this site for instructions on removing this virus, I followed the instructions and it seems to have removed the virus. Now when I start the laptop the programs pinned to my startup menu do not start and if I want to start a program I have to start by right clicking and starting as system admin. Not sure what to do now to fix this.
Vds.exe is missing completely from service.mcs. I made the terrible mistake of actually deleting this service. Now several functions do not work on my computer. I have ran combofix in hopes that it will repair/replace missing files. I did keep the log file if anyone is interested in helping solve the dilemma.Mod Edit: Removed ComboFix log attachment, not germane to missing Windows services and CF is a malware tool which is not used in this particular forum while no information has been provided to indicate malware.
so somehow I caught the malware program known as Windows 7 recovery. As per its standard operations it made my computer seem like it was having a bunch of issues, hid all the files on my hard drive, removed my background, etc. I followed a removal guide I found here on bleeping computer and it did rid of me of that annoying malware. A lingering problem I am still experiencing is that all my start menu items are missing. For example there is a folder for Microsoft office, but when you open it it shows as empty, but if I open a Microsoft office file like say a word file the program opens as normal. I have run the unhide.exe file a couple of times, and shutdown my firewall and maleware protection, but to no avail the start menu items still seem to remain hidden.
