Dec 4, 2012how do I get favorites listed in the toolbar? I used to have the word favorites and all I had to do was click on it to add to it Now,there is just the star for favorites and clicking just has a drop down menu and does not have a way to add something to favoriotes.

The old class Windows Explorer like computer ( for old windows user called my computer) is some you really did not want computer novice or young kid to go into.That why in old windows OS computer novice or young kid use my documents folder on the desktop and to run programs click start than all programs and click on the programs in the list and the admid will lock out of other areasThe Windows Explorer back in windows 3.1 was file manager this was not for novice or young kid to go into.Why is Microsoft changing this.

Sep 27, 2011I was recently helped out by gringo_pr for a virus and now I am back for more help. Today was the first day I tried to run a program that involved .NET, which failed to run. The .NET repair did not work nor did uninstalling .NET 4 and reinstalling. Through my searching for solutions on the internet I found that I should uninstall all .NET versions and reinstall them and I used microsoft fix it tools to do so following the instructions step by step, besides reinstalling .NET 1.0, 1.1. and 3.5 since I don't think they are used on windows 7. Now windows updater and the .NET stand-alone installer fail to install .NET 4. I have tried microsoft fix it tools to try and fix the windows installer but that doesnt seem to work either. And now i am stuck.

Jul 9, 2011I loaded the logitech 32-bit driver in VXP and it installed just fine but when it scanned for joysticks it sees nothing. The Device Manager says the driver can't be loaded (Code 39).
Anyway back on the Win7 side, the Joystick works fine except for Fury 3, which I also can't get to install so I copyed the CD to the disk and found Fury3.exe and fired it up to see what would happen and it runs, just does not see the joystick, keyboard controls work fine.

Oct 13, 2012I tried to install Microsoft Office but I had no succes, halfway I get an error 1317 and the path to install is denied. That path is programdata > microsoft > windows Seems these folders are locked or something? I've already tried icacls and make myself owner but i had no succes. What else can be the problem? Disk looks locked?

A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Works 9 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves that vulnerability. I get error code 646. All other updates are installing successfully - have also run the Windows Update "fixit" which is the only available way from MS but makes no difference. I don't routinely open any files unless I am sure of their provenance so I'm not overly concerned - it's just annoying to have constant update failures on this one. Not even sure I have Works 9 ...although obviously it thinks I do ....
