Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Won't Install
Jul 15, 2012
I am trying to install some software. The installation goes smoothly until the last minute, when the installer tries to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable". This also works, but at the last minute it hangs with one second left to go, thus preventing me from installing the software at all. An error then pops up, saying: "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft. VC80.ATL,type="win32", version="8.0.50727.762", publicKey Token=" 1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'.
I am trying to install Autodesk Maya, a 3D graphics development program.The first part of the installation gets hung up when it attempts to install Microsoft Visual C++Redistributable. I figured I would install it separately, and I got this error message with every version of the software (x64, x86, x32, etc...)Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation ofassembly"Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc9b3b9a1e18e3b" ,processorArchitecture="x86" port for more informationI searched for information about the error, and tried many methods.First I tried the Microsoft Fixit for Windows Update (apparently problems with windows update can cause this error), but that fixit wasironically, the only one from the list which DID NOT work. It says that the version is outdated and to search for a more current version.Next I tried a windows repair install from disk, and the repair install got at far as "Copying Windows Files" when it told me that the installation could not be continued. It then told me to restart and check for current updated.
I'm trying to uninstall/reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2008-2010 but a window pops up saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." "Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'vcredist' in the box below." I went to my C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP but it didn't work all it says is "The file 'C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredist.msi' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable." Mind you it does this for any version I try to uninstall So I rebooted and tried again but the Temp folder wasn't there which was to be expected but now I can't find any vcredist.msi on my computer and it does the same thing in safe mode
I cannot open or run my projects for school. I keep getting an error saying Visual Studio 2005 is not compatible w/win7 I tried to download the service pack and it won't let me. Help.
I have been receiving and installing updates to my Windows 7 computer for about a year now. So far there have been no problems. About mid year of 2011 I installed SQL Server 2005 Express. Not certain the problem I am having began then or later, like about November 2011.The problem is that Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 update will not install (file size 431.7MB), any ideas why? Does not appear to effect anything else as my computer appears to be running fine.
I was wondering if it was safe to uninstall some versions of the microsoft C++ redistributable packages.View list below as Microsoft C++ 2008 had lots of sub-versions, is it safe to delete the lower versions
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate 32bit, recently i had install MVC++ 6.0 in my laptop but when i try to 'open file' it display an error message and after that, it will closed by itself. before this i'm using the same software on Win XP and found no problem at all.
My Skype stopped responding to user actions - it launches but Skype menu items are not reacting to mouse clicks etc, and also Skype menu at the bottom of the window during conversation, when you can click to hung up the call (red button) or call a contact (green button), disappeared, so I am unable to hung up. It gives me Microsoft Visual Studio Debugger Error - JIT debug runtime error.
I'm worried about this Microsoft Visual c++ runtime library error. It happens, whenever I'm trying to do anything with my malwarebytes anti-malware. And even if I open the folder where I put malwarebytes exe, there also it shows this error..
I've tried 3 different installation setups but none work.The problem is after running the autorun file and entering the keygen code and accepting the terms and conditions it shows a window saying that directx 9.0c is required and that its not found in the system. But i have directx 11 installed already. (checked using dxdiag from start menu) also to be clear i've also run the directx setup file that comes with the installation package. It installs successfully but then again the same message. My laptop is a recently purchasesd sony vaio core i5 processor, windows 7(64-bit), 4GB RAM and 2GB Amd Radeon 7650 series graphic chip.When i go to technical support on the installation window, it shows that my OS is unknown and under the result it is displayed as fail and so is my display memory. So is my OS not detectable by the autorun file?
recently installed windows 7 with media center. found out today that my extenders for media center 2005 will not work with windows 7. does anyone know of a work around for this? is it possible to install media center 2005 on my windows 7 pc?
I downloaded/installed Visual C++ 2010 Express and the service pack. I'm using my "D" drive as a folder to hold my movies and any files I need to backup. I checked the drive this morning to add some folders and I have two files that werent there before. Both are named "VS_EXPBSLN_x64_enu", one is a winzip file and the other is a Windows installer package.
I bought a FIFA 12 game via Flipkart an online site. I am getting an error while I run it. The origin client is installed properly, the game extracts properly. But while the game is installing, I am getting an error that VC++ is not installed . Error 1603. I tried downloading the VC++ redistributable package from Microsoft and installing it, but I am getting an error saying a higher version of VC++ redist is installed on the system.
I've had a problem for quite some time now. Im unable to play any Dirt game, gta or f1 series because I need to have installed c++ 2005. Problem is when I try to install, I get the following error: Microsoft.VC80.ATL.type="win32".version="8.0.50727.42".publicKeyToken"="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="amd64" Ive tried searching for the error on this website, I found a bunch of stuff but none related to c++ 2005. I tried fixing it but with no sucess at all. What I find wierd is that it says "processorArchitecture=amd64". I might be noob there, but Im using an i5 2500k.

Do I need SQL server 2005 express on single machine running Win7 64bit ?The reason I ask is that I keep getting an update notice from Microsoft to install SQL server 2005 express sp4.That installation fails every time.I do not connect other devices to this computer except for a back-up external HDD.
I was recently helped out by gringo_pr for a virus and now I am back for more help. Today was the first day I tried to run a program that involved .NET, which failed to run. The .NET repair did not work nor did uninstalling .NET 4 and reinstalling. Through my searching for solutions on the internet I found that I should uninstall all .NET versions and reinstall them and I used microsoft fix it tools to do so following the instructions step by step, besides reinstalling .NET 1.0, 1.1. and 3.5 since I don't think they are used on windows 7. Now windows updater and the .NET stand-alone installer fail to install .NET 4. I have tried microsoft fix it tools to try and fix the windows installer but that doesnt seem to work either. And now i am stuck.
