VC++ Redistributable Error 1603 While Installing FIFA 12?
Oct 3, 2011I bought a FIFA 12 game via Flipkart an online site. I am getting an error while I run it. The origin client is installed properly, the game extracts properly. But while the game is installing, I am getting an error that VC++ is not installed . Error 1603. I tried downloading the VC++ redistributable package from Microsoft and installing it, but I am getting an error saying a higher version of VC++ redist is installed on the system.

It then told me to restart and check for current updated.

However, when I play the new Star Wars: The Old Republic game I keep getting system reboots. I am using the factory settings and have no over-clocked components on my system. Encountering On Windows 7 MCE Setup?
Jun 6, 2011I would need some advice on the following issue I am encountering on my Windows 7 MCE setup.The unit is a GF8300 motherboard with a low power AMD CPU. I am primarily using the HDMI output both for audio and video, quite recently since prior to that I as using an old DSP-A1 with SPDIF input only, so only video was routed through the HDMI output.Note that I reinstalled everything from scratch, and no additionnal codec installed (except Haali media splitter and the associated registry hack to enable MKV support in MCE).I'm located in Europe, so I use the 1920x1080 50Hz setting, latest NV drivers.I have now a new amplifier (Denon AVR-3311), and I'm running into several issues.Mode switch: WMC keep changing mode output. When playing back LiveTV, it goes into 1080i mode. Likewise playing a video file results into a mode switch (and for that I still don't understand why, since the video file is 1080p).HDMI hotplug autodetection: the new amplifier has an HDMI switch built-in. Problem is... when I switch input on the amplifier, the MCE unit registers a hotunplug event. And when it reconnects (ie when I switch back on the input to the MCE PC0, the end result is quite random: I've had instances of 1080i mode, even on the front end, the audio setup is messed up (it goes back from 7.1 to stereo),So if anyone has a way to.Force MCE to NOT switch modes and keep 1080p 50Hz.Disable HDMI hotplug detection

Mar 11, 2012I would like to consult here this problems which I have been encountering lately.Firstly, here's my PC specs:

ram: 2x2gb Kingston ddr2 800mhz (newly bought)
gpu: Radeon hd 6570 1gb ddr3 (newly bought)
psu: generic 600w (newly bought)
hdd: Seagate 1TB - os installed here (newly bought)
Seagate 2TB - (as backup for files)
I successfully installed windows 7, after that I installed first an anti virus, I was a previous ESET user, but upon looking at reviews I settled with Comodo Internet security. I then installed Tuneup Utilities 2012, then other various programs, firefox,Idm, my huge archive of old games.I noticed that there would appear on the screen some distortions/blurry lines/runny lines from time to time. If I would try to reset the settings on the monitor itself, the lines would either get worse or simply reduce. I also tried to change the resolution in the AMD Catalyst control manager, and in the screen resolution setting, but it doesn't permanently solve my problem. I tried changing the refresh rate, but to no avail. What's also wierd is that these "lines/distortions" only appear when I am on the desktop and doing simple tasks like browsing the web, playing windowed games like scrabble, pinball, etc. but whenever I would play full games like Stronghold, Red Alert 3, Need for Speed, etc. there seems to be no signs of the lines or distortions that are occurring. Sometimes these lines/distortions would occur on the borderlines of a window, sometimes on a specific side of the screen.. right now as I'm writing this there seems to be no distortions, (current setting is 60hz refresh rate) but when I change it to 75, the distortions would appear again.What seems to be the problem? Hardware or software?The video card has updated drivers, I tried doing system restores, I tried uninstalling the gpu driver and reinstalling again, removing the vga cord,(I can't reformat again since my dvd drive's condition is getting worse, I was only lucky that my Windows 7 install was successful.)

Jan 24, 2012Windows 7 ultimate x64 Retail, I am getting random BSOD's after the brand new install and format, also I have used a program called Driver Genius 2011 to scan for any errors and so far none were found, I cant even decide what triggers the BSOD's. My PC specs are in my profile and have only had it since Christmas 2010, with the recent addition of a Radeon HD 6770 card in order to play SWTOR. I can't for the life of me figure out how it is still doing it after a clean install. Someone, anyone, please help. Whenever I attempt to install iTunes, or any other programs, a window pops up telling about an error 2503, and then another window pops up telling me about an error 2502. So, when i insert the WINXP installation disk i want to directly install the OS.But surprise, the text "Install Windows XP" is written in gray, so i cant select it.
After that, i rebooted my PC and waited for some message like: Strike any key to boot from cd..."" ,but no text appeared, and windows started normally.I googled some keywords like How to install windows xp on windows 7, but none of them helped me.Please tell me what to do in order to give up on windows 7 and to install XP.
Note:1 the installation disk is good, on other computers works.
2 i am a pretty advanced user, so dont tell me noobish things please.

Feb 18, 2012I burn Windows 7 ultimate image on DVD using roxio burn I used that DVD on my PC to boot that PC , PC took 5 minutes after saying" Press Any key to boot from dc/dvd" and the windows boot manager run and gave the options to run the windows 7 setup rather then starting automaically , and i selected that options to install., windows file started loading... But i want to install it on my laptop so when i boot it , after saying boot from cd/dvd , it takes 15min that says this error "UNEXPECTED I/O ERROR" do you still think there a problem in DVD or in my DVD writer

Error After Installing Win XP On Partition
Sep 16, 2009I have Windows 7 64 bit installed on my computer but needed to install a program only compatible with 32 bit, so decided to create a new 3GB partition using the in-built feature in Windows 7 and install Windows XP on it.
I booted up XP, formatted the partition again,a nd let it run through the set up, but as soon as it had copied the files and rebooted, I got the error message 'error loading operating system'.
I really don't know how to fix this - I'm not bothered about installing XP, I can do without it, but the main thing is getting back onto Windows 7 as I have all my files there. I didn't bother making a back up as I thought any problems that could occur would be limited to the partition that I installed Win XP on.
I tried the 'start up repair' utility on the Windows 7 boot disk, and although that said it had repaired a problem, I still get the same error. Although one strange thing I've noticed is that it says that Windows 7 is located on '(E: ) Local Disk' when it was definitely installed on the D: drive - E: was the new partition of size 3GB with Win XP installed, but according to this it is 400GB + with Windows 7.

This happens for every program that I have tried from download.cnet.com, but I haven't had the problem with installing programs from other sites. I have a second computer and I have no problems installing programs from download.cnet.com onto that computer. I've searched the internet for a solution but I haven't found anything like it. I can still install programs from everywhere except download.cnet.com (at least I haven't run into problems yet), so it's not a huge deal but it would be really nice to be able to download programs from download.cnet.com because it is a very useful resource.
Error 80073712 When Installing SP1?
Sep 26, 2011I have been trying to install SP1 since Apr 2011. I keep getting the error 80073712. I have been able to install all of the other updates. I have downloaded and run system readiness tool. I have run troubleshooting/fix problems with windows update I have run sfc/scannow. I have run MS Fixit as well.
I seem to have a corrupt manifest file. My laptop came windows 7 loaded so I only have recovery disks and a recovery partition. I don't want to have to do a complete recovery and have to install all my software again.
