Jul 15, 2012I am trying to install some software. The installation goes smoothly until the last minute, when the installer tries to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable". This also works, but at the last minute it hangs with one second left to go, thus preventing me from installing the software at all. An error then pops up, saying: "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft. VC80.ATL,type="win32", version="8.0.50727.762", publicKey Token=" 1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'.

Jul 4, 2011I am trying to install Autodesk Maya, a 3D graphics development program.The first part of the installation gets hung up when it attempts to install Microsoft Visual C++Redistributable. I figured I would install it separately, and I got this error message with every version of the software (x64, x86, x32, etc...)Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation ofassembly"Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc9b3b9a1e18e3b" ,processorArchitecture="x86" port for more informationI searched for information about the error, and tried many methods.First I tried the Microsoft Fixit for Windows Update (apparently problems with windows update can cause this error), but that fixit wasironically, the only one from the list which DID NOT work. It says that the version is outdated and to search for a more current version.Next I tried a windows repair install from disk, and the repair install got at far as "Copying Windows Files" when it told me that the installation could not be continued. It then told me to restart and check for current updated.

Mar 13, 2012I have been receiving and installing updates to my Windows 7 computer for about a year now. So far there have been no problems. About mid year of 2011 I installed SQL Server 2005 Express. Not certain the problem I am having began then or later, like about November 2011.The problem is that Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 update will not install (file size 431.7MB), any ideas why? Does not appear to effect anything else as my computer appears to be running fine.

I went to my C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP but it didn't work all it says is "The file 'C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredist.msi' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable." Mind you it does this for any version I try to uninstall So I rebooted and tried again but the Temp folder wasn't there which was to be expected but now I can't find any vcredist.msi on my computer and it does the same thing in safe mode

Nov 14, 2012I've tried 3 different installation setups but none work.The problem is after running the autorun file and entering the keygen code and accepting the terms and conditions it shows a window saying that directx 9.0c is required and that its not found in the system. But i have directx 11 installed already. (checked using dxdiag from start menu) also to be clear i've also run the directx setup file that comes with the installation package. It installs successfully but then again the same message. My laptop is a recently purchasesd sony vaio core i5 processor, windows 7(64-bit), 4GB RAM and 2GB Amd Radeon 7650 series graphic chip.When i go to technical support on the installation window, it shows that my OS is unknown and under the result it is displayed as fail and so is my display memory. So is my OS not detectable by the autorun file?

How To Turn Off Visual And Sound Notifications
Jun 8, 2011One USB device on my desktop computer running Win 7 professional does not work. Maintenance service told me that they cannot repair dysfunctional USB because it is build into the case (chassis). But one dysfunctional USB is not a problem at all, because I have 7 other USB slots operating normally. Anyway, now I am getting non-stop notifications of this non-problem!!! Why? The frequency is sometimes very high and always extremely annoying: it varies greatly, it can be between 5-10 per minute. Aural notifications have this annoying sound and visual notifications are popping up in a sizable cloud in bottom right corner of a screen and are lingering there for far too long, and when I click to close it, it pops back immediately. This is a spoiler (I could tolerate one or two dysfunctional notification a day). It is bothering me visually and aurally, greatly diminishing my user experience, disturbing my work, my listening to the music and watching the pictures or movies. After much tinkering I succeeded to turn off sound notification (via Sounds customization), but I cannot turn off visual notifications. I cannot customize Notification area icons - when I try to "Hide icons and notifications" in category Windows explorer where there is this unwanted visual message USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED and click OK, it does not work, because it pops up again immediately - next time I check Notification area icons customization this category is back to "Only show notifications" although I changed it to "Hide".
