View 9 Replies View RelatedI've tried all I can think off but have not been able to locate the cause for the contant crashes I'm attaching last 5 minidumps and hope you can guide me.
My PC:
OS: Win 7 - 64bit - Home Premium SP1
Intel QuadCore CPU - Q 6600
8 GB RAM
So I just got back from a 3 day vacation, and when I came back I rebooted my computer only to come back to the "Start Windows Normally/ launch startup repair" naturally I chose startup repair, it froze. Tried starting normally, took me back to the same page. So I tried booting in safe mode, took me to the BSOD that read Bad_pool_header. So then I tried to putting in my windows 7 installation disc to see if I could do a system recover from there, but as soon as I try boot up with the disc it takes me back to the same BSOD. I feel completely stuck as I've tried everything I can think of.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAcer Aspire 4740G. 2 years old. Last 1-2 weeks constant BSOD as per title, and random freezing up, forcing restart. On restart, random issues pop-up e.g. "Windows explorer is not working", "Login services not working (causes me to be logged into a new profile, all settings, icons, wallpaper gone)". The system has run the Memory Diagnostics test. Extracting from the Event Viewer, the results are as follows:

i m on a amd dual core 5200, abit k9n with latest bios, ati 4830, 2gb ram 800mhz (2x1)
i have downloaded from my university Windows 7 x64 version (the free copy for students build 7600) but i have also tryed 2 other versions (rc i think, both 64 and 32) with no success.
first of all, the starting installation page is very slow, after 4-5 minuts on "setup is starting" (advance mode, not upgrade), and at the second step (expanding windows files 0%)
installation crashes with blue screen:
first time i get: bad pool header error
second time i m on another blue screen: "a device driver attemptingto corrupt the system has been caught. the faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced.."
now i will try the 3rd time to install in "safe mode" and i post new info here.
if u need something more to know for helping me ill provide them as fast as possible.
i have been getting these "bad pool header" and "system service exception" bsods for about a day now (the "bad pool header" one tends to pop up more often then the other btw). i ran a registry cleaner which didn't work and ran memtest this morning and it showed that my memory was fine. the bsods tend to occur more often when i am playing a game or running some program that uses a bit more memory but it also happens when i am just on the internet. on the other hand, last night i did nothing but surf Internet for 3 hours and didn't get a bsod at all. however, since then i haven't been able to do anything for more than 10 minutes (without being in safe mode) without it crashing, and this morning it completely froze until i turned it off. my os is windows 7 home premium 64bit. it came preinstalled from the manufacturer and unfortunately i do not have the install disc. the entire laptop is less than 2 years old and there have been no major hardware changes and i have never reinstalled the os.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had been having problems previously with this same system getting multiple BSOD everyday with varying messages on them. I was told after it was looked at that I had corruption in my registry and the easiest solution was to just re-install Windows. I went ahead and did that and even after a fresh install i'm still getting BSOD. I tried several re-installs and have been getting the same issues every time. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to it doing it, just happens here and there. It doesn't seem to be the same frequency it used to but it's still happening. The only message i've seen thus far is "Memory_Management". During this last re-install, all I did was install Windows 7 Ultimate x64, loaded the necessary, updated drivers for my graphics card and motherboard and just left it, still got the blue screen.

I have a Gigabyte P43 MB. I cannot successfully install Windows 7 or WinXP.It has been giving me different BSODs and getting to different parts of the install before it BSODs. returned it to Gigabyte and they say they could find no problem. Now I get the same thing except it only gets to load files and never gets into startup.I get 0A, 24, 19, C2 BSODs..I have the MB sitting on my bench now, but when I first fully installed it into a case it did the same thing.I have tried this with 2 CPUs, 2 Graphic cards, 2 PSUs, 2 HDDs, and memory right out of my P35 MB. All of the components run fine on the P35 MB.I can boot to Hiren's disc, I can run memory test, I can find no problems - but I can't Install OS.

When gaming on the computer it will crash and a BSOD will come up saying Bad Pool Caller. Or just a blue screen of death saying there is a problem with your video card. I have reinstalled the drivers for this card and used older drivers however the problem still continues. I have now put my Gigabyte GTX260 in this sytem above and all seems well at the moment plays games and passes tests with 3DMark 06.
Does this sound like a driver or a faulty video card problem??
Also one other thing I have noticed about the disk drive is the tray that opens seems to open a bit then open fully has anyone else experienced this problem before?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi started having this issue awhile ago, but never had much time to try to troubleshoot it, in fact, it went away for a little while...i will play a game (starcraft 2) for maybe 40 minutes or so when the screen will screw up, make a buzzing noise, go the bsod and try to restart the computer. sometimes it will restart without trouble.there's also times where i will exit the game and go to Internet and it will crash then as well. at the blue screen, i have seen these two error messages the most:bad pool caller irql not less or equalreading through others' posts on various sites, i have done the following:updated various drivers, including my videoupdated biosinstalled the new version of nortonran memtest (no errors)it also seemed to me that the machine was running loud, so i opened it up and blew out the dust. after this, the problem stopped for about a month. now its back.i'm going to run memtest a few more times, swapping out the ram, because it sounds like it doesn't always catch stuff the first time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout 75% (3 out of 4 ave.) of attempts to start / boot results in BSOD right after I enter password to login into my account. The error codes are different sometimes but only one I could catch = "Bad Pool Error". I have added no new hardware. Have tried all I could find for a solution without results. Including Pre-boot sys access 4118, sys file check, full scan for virus several times. all the usual.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would need some advice on the following issue I am encountering on my Windows 7 MCE setup. The unit is a GF8300 motherboard with a low power AMD CPU. I am primarily using the HDMI output both for audio and video, quite recently since prior to that I as using an old DSP-A1 with SPDIF input only, so only video was routed through the HDMI output.Note that I reinstalled everything from scratch, and no additionnal codec installed (except Haali media splitter and the associated registry hack to enable MKV support in MCE).I'm located in Europe, so I use the 1920x1080 50Hz setting, latest NV drivers.I have now a new amplifier (Denon AVR-3311), and I'm running into several issues.Mode switch: WMC keep changing mode output. When playing back LiveTV, it goes into 1080i mode. Likewise playing a video file results into a mode switch (and for that I still don't understand why, since the video file is 1080p).HDMI hotplug autodetection: the new amplifier has an HDMI switch built-in. Problem is... when I switch input on the amplifier, the MCE unit registers a hotunplug event. And when it reconnects (ie when I switch back on the input to the MCE PC0, the end result is quite random: I've had instances of 1080i mode, even on the front end, the audio setup is messed up (it goes back from 7.1 to stereo),So if anyone has a way to.Force MCE to NOT switch modes and keep 1080p 50Hz.Disable HDMI hotplug detection

I successfully installed windows 7, after that I installed first an anti virus, I was a previous ESET user, but upon looking at reviews I settled with Comodo Internet security. I then installed Tuneup Utilities 2012, then other various programs, firefox,Idm, my huge archive of old games.I noticed that there would appear on the screen some distortions/blurry lines/runny lines from time to time. If I would try to reset the settings on the monitor itself, the lines would either get worse or simply reduce. I also tried to change the resolution in the AMD Catalyst control manager, and in the screen resolution setting, but it doesn't permanently solve my problem. I tried changing the refresh rate, but to no avail. What's also wierd is that these "lines/distortions" only appear when I am on the desktop and doing simple tasks like browsing the web, playing windowed games like scrabble, pinball, etc. but whenever I would play full games like Stronghold, Red Alert 3, Need for Speed, etc. there seems to be no signs of the lines or distortions that are occurring. Sometimes these lines/distortions would occur on the borderlines of a window, sometimes on a specific side of the screen.. right now as I'm writing this there seems to be no distortions, (current setting is 60hz refresh rate) but when I change it to 75, the distortions would appear again. What seems to be the problem? Hardware or software? The video card has updated drivers, I tried doing system restores, I tried uninstalling the gpu driver and reinstalling again, removing the vga cord,(I can't reformat again since my dvd drive's condition is getting worse, I was only lucky that my Windows 7 install was successful.)
How do I go about fixing this? These are the C++ versions I currently have installed. Would I need to uninstall the 2010 and reinstall it?

View 12 Replies View Relatedhave a big issue with Windows 7. It freezes all the time, multiple times every single day since i've installed.
I'm running x64 Build 7600 with a plenty good enough computer.
It seems to freeze at the most random times for small things, mostly when browsing the internet, doesn't matter which browser i'm using it will freeze randomly while loading a page. Sometimes it will freeze while opening a folder, or picture. And my screen will not wake up after sitting for about a hour or so.
I have the latest motherboard and video card drivers, i put the newest firmware on my Intel SSD, i've updated my Bios, Reinstalled 7 many times.
Also i've pulled the Cmos battery and completely reset my bios, thought that could of helped, but did nothing. Is 7 not working well with my SSD or what?
My computer uses 95-99% RAM everyday even with no windows open. It's very annoying because it cause the computer to run very very slow. I currently have an Acer Aspire 7540 with 2 or 3 GB of ram. Task Manager currently says I'm using 2.69 GB.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks I've had an issue that occurs the same exact time every day. At exactly 12am, any game that I'm playing or video that I'm watching stutters for about 3 secs. Both the video (FPS if a game) and audio are affected. I've done a search in the event viewer custom views, windows logs, and application and service logs and can't find any warning or event that happens at 12am.

The problem is, none of them actually reference their source, so when my boss reads them next to each other and piles them together, he has no way of knowing which ones came from which PDF. Is there a way I can add a "header" to the top of each page of a printed PDF, much like how when I add page numbers to a print job they go in the "footer"?I'm running Windows 7 and printing a PDF from Firefox. If it allows for more customizable print jobs I can print the PDF from Adobe Reader.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Corsair case with an Asus P8Z77 LX motherboard. I have already had Corsair send me a replacement front panel connection for the USB 3.0 ports, and am now stuck at what to do. Basically USB 2.0 connection speeds are abysmal over the front panel USB 3.0 ports. USB 3.0 (Hard disk and flash drive) drop connections promptly. Sometimes things can be copied from them successfully at a reasonable speed. But writing any data to them it always, every time drops out and Windows 7 reports that the device is no longer available.
