Everyday or two days my computer crashes and freezes. My system specs:
Windows 7 64bit

computer spec, win 7 64 (fully updated). all drivers are updated, and bios is upto date asus p6t delux v2, i7 940, 12gb ram ocz 1000w power supply (bought 6 months ago) main drive- kingston ssd vnow series 128gb , could it be this?
recently we had a builder round, and the electricity tripped while my computer was on since then my computer constantly freezes randomly no given time really (could be guessing at this time really as updates have occured as well recently)
An example is i could be browsing the web on a variety of browsers or just using the computer in general, the computer will lock up sometimes allowing me to move the mouse but not being able to do anything, and sometimes not being able to move the mouse,it will then un freeze about 2-3 minutes later?
and when it frezes i could press ctrl alt & del, then the task manager will pop up when the computer has resumed it selfi recently ran memtest on all the ram after around 50 hours of testing there was an error on one piece, another thing it could be possibly one of the updates i have run for drivers bios etc, but id be clutching at straws trying to find out
i have norton 360 and malwarebytes on, both find NO Viruses, so i retested one at a time in the same dimm slot, no problems? i then tested in pairs still no problems? i then retested all and this time i had no problems? strange? but only retested for 30 hours at the bottom of the memtest screen, it said pass complete no errors,
My computer shuts down everyday at 12 am and then I turn it back on manually. It is no the antivirus scans, I checked the times. hat this could be and how do I turn it off ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI create a restore point everyday since my computer is not automatically doing it. And the next day I have no restore point.
View 1 Replies View Relateda couple days ago i posted a hijack this log because my toshiba satellite had been freezing and crashing a lot all of a sudden. my kapersky software got rid of a few viruses but it was still running slowly. now my toshiba wont even boot up past the splash screen it just wants to run startup repair. startup repair either takes 5 hours or says it cannot fix. -i cannt do system restore because i didnt have a previous point saved, -i can get into the command prompt thing and when running chkdsk it says 512 bytes in each allocation unit, failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50. 3086 kb total disc space.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently built a new pc and I'm having some issues with Windows 7 which seems to freeze on start up. By this I mean at the "Starting Windows" screen the animation will start but will freeze after a couple of seconds. It usually takes me about 3 restarts to then get into windows. I haven't been using Windows Repair tool because the restore deletes all of the programmes that I've put on and the crashing continues to happen despite the changes. I'll list my specs below:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
ASRock Pro3 Gen3 Z68
Intel Core i5 2500k currently @ stock speed
Gigabyte 560Ti OC
OCZ ZS 550w
8GB DDR3 Crucial Ballistix 1600mhz
Kingston HyperX 120gb SSD (Boot Drive)
Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue (Overflow Drive)
I don't think the SSD is the problem because when I did the install on the WD HDD I still had the instability and the crashes. The drivers I have installed are: Realtek LAN drivers, Nvidia 500 series Graphics, Nvidia HD Audio and all of the "Important" Windows 7 updates.
When I boot up my pc, randomly 15-30minutes after logging on, all of the programs running will freeze with "Not Responding" on their title bar for a few minutes. After a few minutes the programs will unfreeze, and more problems arise. These problems include, some of the open programs working, some partially working , and some not working at all. When I try to to ctrl alt delete to close the frozen programs, an error message will pop-up Cannot find explorer.exe. Also when I open the start menu it is completely blank, doesn't show anything. Also, some of my desktop icons disappear, while some others stay. In general, the computer gets really buggy, and I cant do much.I have been having these issues for roughly a week. I formatted on Mon, Aug 27, and the issues still arise since the format, so it appears the issues is more likely hardware related.Since I formatted, I have chkdisk /f /r, and sfc /scannow, but the issues still arise.About a week ago I was trying to clean my case, get rid of dust, etc, but before I did it, my case fell roughly 6 inches to the ground, thinking this issue could be hardware, most likely a bad HDD related.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically what happens sometimes in-game is I get either a crash where the screen goes black and then a message saying the graphics driver recovered successfully, or I get freezing up with fps drops every few seconds until I quit the application.
I haven't had this issue before I OC'd my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T CPU from 3.2 to 3.6 GHz. The temperatures of the card are perfectly fine (it's usually around 62-67 degrees) and I also ran some stress tests through furmark, which gave me results consistent with my card's rating, and I had no errors.
I was under the impression that overclocking the CPU didn't affect the graphics card. Also, I'm 100% certain the card is getting enough power because I specifically bought a new power supply a few months back to make sure I would never worry about power issues. The GPU drivers are up to date (I even tried using beta drivers) and I've checked the card physically and got the dust out.
edit: just got another error in Starcraft 2 - "your computer has run out of paged pool memory". I have 12 gbs of ram and with starcraft 2 open i have about 8.5-9 gbs being used.

This computer is 4-5 years old. Originally had Vista installed. Did a fresh install of Win 7 Pro x64when I bought the SSD drive.
In the last several months I have been upgrading it:
Installed 8 GB of 800MHz RAM - 4 months ago Installed a Crucial M4 SSD drive - 2 months ago Throughly cleaned all fans and the computer - 1 month ago Replaced Power supply that had failed - 2 weeks ago
This has been driving me crazy for quite a while. Before I replace the motherboard and cpu I wanted to see if someone could decipher the log files for me.
I have played with the BIOS settigs quite a bit. It may be time for me to return to default values..
In the last two days I have noticed that my laptop is crashing and freezing really often and I would have to hold down the power button down to switch it off, etc. I have used hp support assistant, I don't want to restore factory setting.

I recently built my first PC three days ago...
Specs:

crosair hx850 PSU

When I first installed windows it started to work just fine but I soon noticed that it would randomly freeze every 15-30 minutes of use, but not on a particular program or anything. I assumed it was drivers so I installed the latest drivers for my GPU and MOBO and keyboard. It seemed fine again until it started crashing again. I ran a GPU burn test and a CPU burn test it passed both. (I tried runing memtest86+ but it froze at like 12%) Then I tried fixing the registry so I downloaded ccleaner and fixed the registry problems. Freezes continued. I finally decided to re install windows so I did and the problems still continued. I am at a loss of what to do and can't think of anything else.
I've sent this computer to a repair center and after diagnostics (if thats what he calls it) he said my crashes were due to my RAM. He wanted to charge me $120 to install new RAM. Instead I had him send it back and since I am computer savvy enough I installed new RAM myself.
my specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Nvidia Geoforce GTS 360m

Intel Core i7 Processor 1.60Gh
Just re-installed windows 7 Completely reformatted HD
I have Windows 7. My computer keeps crashing I have written down the stop codes, which are all different each time Also keep getting nv7ddmKm.sys.I have scanned the computer with Kapersky and also malwarebytes but both scans are clean.I can be doing anything on the computer when it happens but mainly it is when i am using Adobe CS5 or uploading images onto my computer from Nikon software installed on the computer.

View 12 Replies View Relatedhave a big issue with Windows 7. It freezes all the time, multiple times every single day since i've installed.
I'm running x64 Build 7600 with a plenty good enough computer.
It seems to freeze at the most random times for small things, mostly when browsing the internet, doesn't matter which browser i'm using it will freeze randomly while loading a page. Sometimes it will freeze while opening a folder, or picture. And my screen will not wake up after sitting for about a hour or so.
I have the latest motherboard and video card drivers, i put the newest firmware on my Intel SSD, i've updated my Bios, Reinstalled 7 many times.
Also i've pulled the Cmos battery and completely reset my bios, thought that could of helped, but did nothing. Is 7 not working well with my SSD or what?
My computer uses 95-99% RAM everyday even with no windows open. It's very annoying because it cause the computer to run very very slow. I currently have an Acer Aspire 7540 with 2 or 3 GB of ram. Task Manager currently says I'm using 2.69 GB.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks I've had an issue that occurs the same exact time every day. At exactly 12am, any game that I'm playing or video that I'm watching stutters for about 3 secs. Both the video (FPS if a game) and audio are affected. I've done a search in the event viewer custom views, windows logs, and application and service logs and can't find any warning or event that happens at 12am.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn a brave attempt to put together my new computer, my new machine keeps constantly freezing up. The event mostly occurs when i open a webpage that might have embedded video. When the machine freezes up, I need to do a hard boot. I have tried running the Asus diagnostic tools, but no real results. I have even tried the various memory tests, however no resolve. One other step that I have taken was also to replace my grahics card from a AMD Sapphire to a NVDIA GeForce GTX 690.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a relatively new custom PC (around 3 months old) and I have problems with it. It was put together by the same shop that sold the parts. It recently started to crash constantly at seemingly random times. Sometimes it would run fine for 5 days without any issues, at other times it would crash once every day for a few days. Even the cause isn't always the same. It would either give me a BSoD or simply shut down without any message and restart itself.

i've somewhat recently built myself a new gaming rig due to my old system being horribly outdated and unreliable and from day one of using the new computer i've had some problems with crashing.basically, the computer crashes at least once per day and is seemingly undetectable as to when this happens, the only thing intensifying the crashing seems to be streaming videos online, ie. Internet, facebook, dailymotion videos etc.a friend of mine had compiled the list of parts that i would use to build the computer, and also did the majority of assembling (which i cannot notice any problems with by looking at the inside of the tower). this same friend, after hearing about constant crashing problems and unreliability as to when it would crash had suggested a problem with the system's memory, but after swapping out hdd's and even installing an ssd? here is a list of my system specs.
corsair 8gb ram
western digital 2tb internal hdd
ocz agility 60gb ssd (boot disc)
win7 ultimate 32-bit os
lite-on dvd drive
intel core i5 2500k processor
asus geforce gtx 560 directcu ii top 1024mb video card

I reformatted my computer a couple weeks ago in order to install my new 40GB SSD drive and ever since, my computer has been randomly crashing. It has never happened when I was actually using it, but it has happened a couple times when I'm sitting next to it. It seems to just shut off and come back on. When it turns back on, I get this dialog...
View 14 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 x64 Home, Dell XPS Desktop PC. To start, I can boot into safe mode with networking, and cruise facebook and everything else just fine for him on IE. Having issues with re-installing Firefox since it keeps locking up and crashing (BSOD). I can get in and most things on the PC tend to run fine, then gets slower and slower with nothing big on the processes list in task manager. If I open either IE or Firefox, the thing locks up, can't even CTRL+ALT+DEL. I have ran AVG scan, ran Malwarebytes scan, uninstalled Firefox, uninstalled all javas, updated IE to 9 via Windows Update, and reinstalled javas/firefox again. Still crashes. My thought is that it has to be an addon or some crap somewhere since it runs fine in safe mode? The only add-on I had enabled in Firefox was the Java SSE Add-in or something like that. Not sure now since it won't re-install.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am getting really tired of my computer crashing constantly. The main concerns are: ntoskrnl.exe, atikmdag.sys and dxgmms1.sys. I have fresh installed four times, updated all of my drivers and DirectX, too. Nothing helped. I have send my PC back to it's manufacturer 2 times, and they said it was fine. I have also run Windows Memory Diagnostics without any errors. It happens randomly, even though what I am doing on my computer (work, games, surfing the interwebs etc.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, my computer is crashing while I play games like Left 4 Dead or Bad Company 2When it crashes, sound starts looping and I get a black screen and there might be somekind of corruption on the screen. Black screen stays there for some time (5-10 secs, not sure about the exact time) and then the computer reboots. After I boot back in to Windows, a window pops-up telling that Windows has recovered from bluescreen but I didn't see any bluescreen coming up. figured it might be something to do with heat but after I logged the temperatures, I'm not so sure about it anymore. At the moment of the crash, GPU was at 94C and processor cores were at 66C , 65C , 67C , 65C so the temperatures seem to be fine.
