View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed Win 7 Rc 64 bit and am running Visual Studio 2008 Pro
Version 9.0.30729.1 SP
Net Framework 3.5 SP1
And am running a few large apps.
The app shows 246MB memory used for devenv.exe *32 and
the same app on vista 32 bit machine shows 94mb used.
Needless to say, it is very slow.
Devenv.exe shows 19MB with no programs loaded on the Vista machine
And 58 MB on the Win7 Machine
The computer is a Lenovo, dual core 64 bit with 4GB RAM
The Vista machine is Shuttle Dual Core 32 bit with 4GB RAM
Any suggestions?
I'm trying to uninstall/reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005-2008-2010 but a window pops up saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." "Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'vcredist' in the box below." I went to my C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP but it didn't work all it says is "The file 'C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredist.msi' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable." Mind you it does this for any version I try to uninstall So I rebooted and tried again but the Temp folder wasn't there which was to be expected but now I can't find any vcredist.msi on my computer and it does the same thing in safe mode

This also works, but at the last minute it hangs with one second left to go, thus preventing me from installing the software at all. An error then pops up, saying: "Error 1935. I attached the minidump files in a zip folder.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been receiving and installing updates to my Windows 7 computer for about a year now. So far there have been no problems. About mid year of 2011 I installed SQL Server 2005 Express. Not certain the problem I am having began then or later, like about November 2011.The problem is that Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 update will not install (file size 431.7MB), any ideas why? Does not appear to effect anything else as my computer appears to be running fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had several BSOD since I bought my VAIO in May 2011 but it seemed they have dissapeared until today. I was doing a profiling with Intel VTUNE in order to count the failure access to the cache memory when the BSOD appeared.
I don't know if it's caused by a hardware problem or just software but I'm really worried about it because I need the computer to work.

My laptop is a 1 year old Toshiba Satellite. I've had this problem long enough to forget when it started. I haven't been able to complete a full Windows update because of this problem. I searched for KB2251489 and it said that someone had called and was told this problem was going to be fixed, but the last post in that thread had been in June. Has there been a fix to this yet?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm heavily using Visual Studio 2010 (development environment for develop applications) all the day. To speed up my computer a little bit, I have added into my computer 8 gigabyte of RAM. My processor is a standard quad core. So my computer should be powerful enough to handle my requirements. Unfortunately, this isn't so. From time to time Visual Studio hangs, although my hardware should be good enough.
A possible reason for this could be the limitation for 32 bit applications. Visual Studio 2010 does not support out of the box a 64 bit compilation, so it is basically a 32 bit application. Is it possible to patch a 32 bit application (in my case VS 2010) to gain the same results as for a 64 bit compiled application?
anyone know how to fix this?
i got google this problem but it doesn't help me too...

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install Autodesk Maya, a 3D graphics development program. The first part of the installation gets hung up when it attempts to install Microsoft Visual C++Redistributable. I figured I would install it separately, and I got this error message with every version of the software (x64, x86, x32, etc...)Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation ofassembly"Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc9b3b9a1e18e3b" ,processorArchitecture="x86" port for more informationI searched for information about the error, and tried many methods.First I tried the Microsoft Fixit for Windows Update (apparently problems with windows update can cause this error), but that fixit wasironically, the only one from the list which DID NOT work. It says that the version is outdated and to search for a more current version.Next I tried a windows repair install from disk, and the repair install got at far as "Copying Windows Files" when it told me that the installation could not be continued. It then told me to restart and check for current updated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've Toshiba Notebook and Win 7 Home Premium x64 OS installed on it. I want to have Win Server 2008 R2 x64 also in my PC. I tried two options:
1 - Made VHD and tried to install in that, but it didn't. Gave error that Win 2008 cannot be installed on VHD.
2 - Created new partition but got error message that you already have max number of partitions, so can't make new partitions.
What do I do? Is it the problem due to Home Premium edition? If yes, shall I first upgrade my primary OS to Ultimate or Professional? I've already checked my PC for upgrade compatibility by Microsoft Upgrade Advisory and it says that my PC can be upgraded to Win 7 Prof or Ultimate.
Please suggest what do I do?

I downloaded/installed Visual C++ 2010 Express and the service pack. I'm using my "D" drive as a folder to hold my movies and any files I need to backup.
