View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem lately with my computer. When I want to install a software that is big in size it slows down my computer and the installer won't start. I can install software like VLC, Google Chrome etc. that are little in size, but I can't install for example Microsoft Office. I managed to install a game, but the installer started in 3 minutes and meanwhile the computer was very slow. After the installer started the computer returned to normal speed. It can't be a virus I just recently reinstalled Windows.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI get D is not a Win32 application. There is no "run as adminstrator"option, I can't change compatibility mode because it only brings up a list of already installed programs, I bought it retail and have installed it on my computer, my kids computers, etc., no limit on installations.. If I try autoplay I can feel the disc spinning but it never starts to load. I really need it for work as I work from home and it is a requirement.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure what's going on so I'll quickly describe what I've been experiencing. First off, this a three month old computer. I don't use any P2P applications. I'm good at not clicking false links, etc. I'm up to date with Microsoft Updates and all of my software is up to date as well. I ran a virus scan and it came back completely clean. Sunday afternoon, I left my computer up with a bunch of windows open in Google Chrome. Everything was fine. I came back and no web pages would load. I disconnected my ethernet cable and plugged it back in. Everything was fine for a little while. Then everything started getting choppy. Programs were taking forever to open and once they did, the entire computer started lagging. For example, songs in iTunes would pause for about a half a second and jump right back in. It happened almost routinely, every 3-4 seconds. The mouse cursor was also jumping. I restarted and the same effects were observed. I can no longer open any MS Office products. This REALLY screws the computer up. I opened task manager and I can see Powerpoint, for example, running in the background and using about 100kb of memory. "End Process" does not even end the process. I tried using PSKill.exe to kill the process, but to no avail.

View 9 Replies View RelatedTrying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student on a brand new computer, went through the process with no problems so when it finished it wanted me to restart, so I did and when it restarted absolutely nothing, no word, excel anything except the same installation startup software so I tried again and this time it came up with some starter version of word and excel...thats it, no proper programs just rubbish, no outlook, publisher or powerpoint. Decided to restart thinking it just a glitch and now all I've got is Onenote. Given up after 2 hours of being annoyed at every step trying to get it to work
