I "installed" microsoft office starter 2010 on my computer. After a week, I have not been able to open any programs affiliated with microsoft office starter due to click 2 run configuration failure. I was wanting to "uninstall" mso starter due to all the hassles with the program so I did a system restore with a date prior to the "installation." Will this completely remove mso starter from my hard drive?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried everything under the sun to get my MS Office working (2010 Home & Business). This is the third time I have had such issues with it. The first two times it miraculously worked on it's own. This time it seems to be dead for good.
When I try and open office it just stays at the "starting" box and doesn't go any further. I am unable to open it via winword.exe either.
I am able to open it in safe mode, but when I try and save a file it just freezes my computer, same if I also try and close the program.
I have attempted a repair and an uninstall and neither work, they just get to half way and hang (for hours.) I have done a "clean boot" I have tried to restore my system to a point when MS was working but I get some 0x8007005 error saying a virus protection may be in the way. I disabled the virus scan and it still occurred. (I am using Avira Anti Virus)
Something else to note, I also have open office & PDF Complete and they are also freezing in the same manner as MS Office.
My question is; Does anyone else have some possible solutions for my problem or is a complete system over hall in the midst?
I bought a new computer with a trial version of office 2010 installed but not activated. I all ready have 2007 and I installed it. Will I have a problem if I uninstall the trial version (2010)?

Excel- "Not enough memory to start Excel. Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.
Setup cannot find PowerPoint.en-usPptLR.cab. Browse to a valid installation, source, and then click ok. Keeps on appearing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure what's going on so I'll quickly describe what I've been experiencing. First off, this a three month old computer. I don't use any P2P applications. I'm good at not clicking false links, etc. I'm up to date with Microsoft Updates and all of my software is up to date as well. I ran a virus scan and it came back completely clean. Sunday afternoon, I left my computer up with a bunch of windows open in Google Chrome. Everything was fine. I came back and no web pages would load. I disconnected my ethernet cable and plugged it back in. Everything was fine for a little while. Then everything started getting choppy. Programs were taking forever to open and once they did, the entire computer started lagging. For example, songs in iTunes would pause for about a half a second and jump right back in. It happened almost routinely, every 3-4 seconds. The mouse cursor was also jumping. I restarted and the same effects were observed. I can no longer open any MS Office products. This REALLY screws the computer up. I opened task manager and I can see Powerpoint, for example, running in the background and using about 100kb of memory. "End Process" does not even end the process. I tried using PSKill.exe to kill the process, but to no avail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI uninstalled it previously because the icons were missing. So trying to reinstall it I keep getting a rather unspecific error just saying "an error has occurred". screen shot : http://i55.tinypic.com/vwzypj.png, I really need this to do homework n stuff.
View 9 Replies View RelatedTrying to install Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student on a brand new computer, went through the process with no problems so when it finished it wanted me to restart, so I did and when it restarted absolutely nothing, no word, excel anything except the same installation startup software so I tried again and this time it came up with some starter version of word and excel...thats it, no proper programs just rubbish, no outlook, publisher or powerpoint. Decided to restart thinking it just a glitch and now all I've got is Onenote. Given up after 2 hours of being annoyed at every step trying to get it to work
