View 1 RepliesBut I cannot get my NEW Netgear N600 router to communicate with a NEW Netgear WN 3000 RP extender. The instructions say to press the WPS button on the extender then the WPS button on the router. No WPS button exists on the router! The instructions also I can use any wireless network manager utility to set this up. Can't find where this is in Windows 7.The I pad has found the NETGEAR_EXT address but won't connect. And the light on the extender does no indicate teh router is communicating with it.

When I do, nothing happens the page blinks on and off and won't go any further until I do a hard shut down. Before this happened i was trying to uninstall Windows live messenger.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had no problems with CNET but when I got this new PC every time the TechTraker says I have new updates, every time I try, it says "no registered application for this extension". This is using my normal browser Opera. When I copy and paste the address to Internet Explorer, no problem but why does it give me this problem and I would much prefer to do it on Opera.

I use my computer for logging amateur radio contacts and e-mail primarily.I uninstalled a program yesterday that I guess I shouldn't have. It was Roxio. After doing this I tried to open one of the logging programs. These programs are used for logging contacts, controling and following my radio as well as my antenna rotor, puts me on telnet and it even sends morse code fom the Function keys.Anyway when trying to open the program I ger an 'error 39' Component MScomm32.osx or one of it's dependencies is missing or unregistered.I had the same problem with another file and after spending over 60 bucks, I got it fixed... but they would only answer that one question and I couldn't follow up with other problems.Another program I use exhibits basically the same problem but it is MSINET.ocx.
I installed Registry Booster on my mom's laptop. I used a video to slightly hack the registry to get it for free (don't interrogate me, she needed a cleanup badly). If it helps, here's the video I used: < piracy advice removed> Now everytime her computer boots up, a pop-up comes up saying that the wireless configuration notification.dll has not been registered about two minutes after it boots up completely.it is a Dell Inspiron 1764 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just did a clean install of Windows 7 x64, and now I have 2 pop-ups telling me somethings wrong. They are both called Name Setup, and they say:1 - efm sys file corrupt. Reinstall2 - rmorsm.dll not registeredI did a SFC /scannow as stated in SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and although it found and repaired some errors, none were of the 2 I mentioned above, and they reappeared also after doing the SFC scan.I even did several scans, but the problem still occurs.Googling either of these 2 error messages only yields: Missing Files but no side effects, which led me to the SFC scan in the 1st place, which solved the problem for him, but persist for me.

I recently bought the PC game The Movies. I tried downloading but "Compatibility Issues" and "Library Not Registered" shows up. So I went "Computer" right clicked the game "Open in new Window" than tried to install it by "Run as Administrator" on Setup. But nothing seems to happen, instead my computer starts to make jittery noises. I've tried this several times.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a laptop with Windows7 from work, registered to the domain from my company. At home I have a desktop with XP with shares on it. When I bring the laptop home and try to access the shares on the desktop, I am asked to enter user and pass (ok, I use the admin account on that desktop), the Seven shows me the list of shares. Very good, you might say. That is so until you try to enter the shares when it pops a "network error": "Windows cannot acess \xp-desktopshare1 You do no have permission to access \xp-desktopshare1. Contact your network administrator to request access." What access?! These are full shares for the admin account used to authenticate.
I have a third machine with Seven on it, this time a personal machine, not registered to a domain, and with this one I can properly access the shares mentioned earlier. Also, my laptop from work, can properly access shares from my work place and shares on the personal laptop with Seven on it. So this issue happens only when trying to access shares on XP at home.

i can not get my netgear WG311v3 54MB wireless pci adapter to work Device manager say the device cannot start (code 10)
so i tried update drivers and windows says i have the most up todate drivers for it. so i uninstalled the driver to try and get windows to reinstall the drivers but it fails any help please. i have looked on the netgear website and they say wwindows should install the drivers automatically, but no.
i have windows 7 64bit 4Gb ram
Just installed windows 7 64 bit.
I'm using a pci wireless adapter chip, Netgear wg311v3 I installed the netgear driver automatically, and then installed the netger smart wizard. However, the smart wizard will not start up. I've done some research, and apparently netgear doesn't make 64bit drivers. I've also tried using the chipset driver which is a Marvell 88w8335. But I may not have used the right driver.
To sum it up:
I have a netgear wg311v3 adapter. Running Windows 7 64bit. It won't run the wizard.
What should I do? Do I need to go back to 32 bit?
I'm running a Netgear PS121v2 usb print server. It had no issues under XP but within Vista / Windows 7 there was a defect.
The driver for the V2 when installed came up as unsigned, therefore the installation wouldn't proceed any further.
I looked around the net, and a few people had found a workaround with installing the printer manually within Vista.
For me this still didn't work, as when the test page prints, it hangs one line from the end.
The netgear support site stated that the driver for the PS121v2 was compatible with XP through Vista 32 and 64bit.
So I took a chance and did the following:
Solution:
Download the Drivers for the PS121v1
The difference from what I gather after reading some technical papers is that the firmware in the v2 allows for sharing of the multifunctions of multifunction printers.
The PS121v1 software is signed for Vista and installed no problem.
I first connected the printer (an officejet 4100 series) to the PC and Windows 7 found all the necessary drivers. - impressive as HP's own site says that it doesn't support vista.
I then connected the printer to the PS121 on the router, and installed the PS121v1 drivers.
The drivers configure the existing printer setup to run on the printserver by modifying it's port details and settings.
Prints fine, with no glitches.
I just purchased a Netgear 3500 Gigabyte router. The NetGear site indicates that their 3500v2 supports Window 7 but I cannot determine when they will support the 3500 I own. Anyone Know? Read a review that my version can be installed MANUALLY. Any COMMENTS? Next driver problem... Neither the NetGear nor the Lynksys wireless adaptors have Windows 7 drivers(dualband, rangemax, gigagyte adaptors).
Any suggestions?
I just installed the Windows 7 upgrade. My printer would not print so I called Dell. I was on the phone with them for 3 hours trying to get it to print. They eventually told me that my wireless router, (Netgear WNR2000) had a wrong IP address of 168. something. They told me I had to change it to a 192. number. They further told me to change to WEP. I went to the wireless site and typed in 192.168.1.1 and logged in. I changed it to WEP but then the internet would not work. I do not know what to do. Can someone please help me?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 64 bit. I bought a Netgear DGN2000 approximately two years ago. It is working well. Currently, there is good connectivity between my laptop and the modem/router (wired and wireless).
I worked on my desktop this morning, uninstalled some programmes, but must have uninstalled a driver or something. I inserted the Resource CD, which installs the modem (although it is installed). Then it stalls at some point. If I troubleshoot, it states Windows do not detect a properly installed network adaptor.
i have a WG121 Netgear Wireless Adapter 54Mbps, the driver for it works flawlessly on Windows 7 32 Bit, however i am very keen to try out the 64 bit, but when i installed it, the adapter did not work, i was wondering if any of you people know a driver i can use for it on 64 bit. it would be much appreciated as my newly upgraded computer is wasted on a 32 bit operating system.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe drivers for my WG111 won't work with Windows 7 rev 7000.
It says they are unsigned in the device manager, and that is why windows doesn't like them.
I have tried the following:
1. Running the software in compatibility mode:
2. BCDedit.exe set testing, signing, etc.
Still no luck, and i can't seem to find the driver without the software installer and the software sort of halfway hangs at the end of the installation when I am trying to install, and I think this is the problem.
