Wireless Configuration - Notification.dll Has Not Been Registered
Mar 12, 2011
I installed Registry Booster on my mom's laptop. I used a video to slightly hack the registry to get it for free (don't interrogate me, she needed a cleanup badly). If it helps, here's the video I used: < piracy advice removed> Now everytime her computer boots up, a pop-up comes up saying that the wireless configuration notification.dll has not been registered about two minutes after it boots up completely.it is a Dell Inspiron 1764 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I get this error message when i boot up Windows 7:Wireless Configuration: Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly. When i turn it on it goes into Windows Error Recovery mode and only gives me the options of Safe Mode or Start Windows normally.Whichever I choose looks like it's loading up but when it gets to the blue Win 7 Welcome screen the error message pops up.The only option is to click OK. When I do, nothing happens the page blinks on and off and won't go any further until I do a hard shut down. Before this happened i was trying to uninstall Windows live messenger.

In XP, if one is playing something over the network on a wireless connection, there are usually (always?) little dropouts every so often caused by Wireless Zero Configuration service. So once its connected, simply disabling the service causes those dropouts to go away and playback is smooth and steady.Well, in Windows 7 I have those same dropouts over wireless but, no Wireless Zero Configuration service to disable. So what is the equivalent or what needs to be done to make it quite checking the connection so that playback will be as smooth as it is with XP?I've tried disabling a couple of sevices that were associated to wireless (WLAN Autoconfig) but so far I've only managed to completely bonk the connection.

I can't get wireless for some reason and get the msg: "Wireless doesn't have a valid IP configuration", with "unidentified network, no network access". In the past, I could just plug in to the wired connection and theIn suddenly, it would recognize the wireless. I can't seem to get it to work after reboot, turning off the router, etc. I've looked through other posts and tried various things and I don't have bonjour anywhere either that i can tell. [code]

I've had this problem since I bought a new desktop PC with windows 7 installed. Every once in a while my internet stops working (router+modem) and a yellow exclamation mark appears. When I use the windows solution utility I get two different messages:
a)either my wireless network connection does not have a valid IP
b) the default gateway is not available
I am using d-link dwa-127 wireless adapter since my computer does not have an integrated wifi card, and I have already removed norton, which could possibly be blocking my conncection. I have tried setting my IP manually, but it does not work.
At the beginning it all functioned normally, and even now it works, but it did not before. I also noticed that when it does not work it says 'Unidentified network', and when it does it says 'Smuc' (the ssid of our network). The internet as such is working this whole time, I always check it on my laptop with windows XP and an integrated WiFi card.

The computer which has the problem is an Acer Aspire X3400, 64-bit operating system. I get the unidentified network no internet access thing come up when i click on the little symbol at the bottom which has the yellow warning triangle infront of it. I have tried disabling the connection and restoring it. Releasing the ip and renewing it. I have tried to update the driver (ethernet cable) but it says it is up to date. In the driver management there is a yellow triangle next to the USB network interface.

I'm running Windows 7 professional on an HP 4320s probook. I recently uninstalled some of the HP programs because I never used them (sorry can't remember which) and now I cant connect to the internet. I get the error message in the thread's title.I've tried ipconfig/release and the fix that has netsh ip textlog in it and i've also disabled the IP helper. None of these have worked. I looked for webroot in services.msc but couldnt find it so i don't think that's the problem either.

I frequently bring my laptop to work where the is a public wireless signal. I work at a hospital. There is a secure network but I don't have the password for it, so I use the public one. Up until recently I used an old asus with vista, and while the signal was pretty low I had no problem connecting to it and staying connected. Just meant slow internet for me. However, that computer has sadly died and I bought a samsung NP700Z5B-S01UB. And while it's a very nice machine, I cant seem to connect to the network here. It shows that there is a low wireless signal, but it still wont let me connect. The error it gives me is "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. since I cannot do anything to the wireless network at all (as it is a network associated with the hospital).

I get a triangle and exclamation point on the wireless signal icon in my task bar after about an hour after being connected to the internet. When I hover over the icon it displays "Limited Access". Connection is lost at this point.I then right click the icon and click "Troubleshoot Network Problems" and windows seems to restart the network card and I regain internet access for another hour or so. It says the error was "Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". This is hard for me to troubleshoot because everyone else that has this error cannot connect to the internet in the first place. I am (strangely) connected just fine then all of a sudden I get "Limited Access" with full wireless bars caused by an "invalid IP configuration".I have unchecked the power saving feature for the network card and tried disabling the firewall, but I'm not sure what else to do.

I don't remember the exact date, but before, whenever I startup my laptop, I always have the Dolby notification icon in the bottom right. But now, I don't know what I did, the notification icon never appears for Dolby. The settings for that icon is set to "Show" but whenever I click on it again, it says "This notification is currently not active" Eventhough, I'm pretty sure it's on.I tried reinstalling, but I keep getting error messages once it's reinstalled. So I have to use System Restore, and this has been driving me nuts...and this keeps going in circles.I think there is something wrong with the registry of this program. When I go to the program location, I have a Dolby Profile Selector, Dolby Profile Editor, and Dolby Profile Launcher...I am so confused now, as I always had the Notification Icon available.I can add Dolby to the Startup Folder, but when turning on the laptop, the entire Dolby profile pops up when Windows 7 boots, and that was not what happened before?

I had no problems with CNET but when I got this new PC every time the TechTraker says I have new updates, every time I try, it says "no registered application for this extension". This is using my normal browser Opera. When I copy and paste the address to Internet Explorer, no problem but why does it give me this problem and I would much prefer to do it on Opera.

I use my computer for logging amateur radio contacts and e-mail primarily.I uninstalled a program yesterday that I guess I shouldn't have. It was Roxio. After doing this I tried to open one of the logging programs. These programs are used for logging contacts, controling and following my radio as well as my antenna rotor, puts me on telnet and it even sends morse code fom the Function keys.Anyway when trying to open the program I ger an 'error 39' Component MScomm32.osx or one of it's dependencies is missing or unregistered.I had the same problem with another file and after spending over 60 bucks, I got it fixed... but they would only answer that one question and I couldn't follow up with other problems.Another program I use exhibits basically the same problem but it is MSINET.ocx.

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 x64, and now I have 2 pop-ups telling me somethings wrong. They are both called Name Setup, and they say:1 - efm sys file corrupt. Reinstall2 - rmorsm.dll not registeredI did a SFC /scannow as stated in SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and although it found and repaired some errors, none were of the 2 I mentioned above, and they reappeared also after doing the SFC scan.I even did several scans, but the problem still occurs.Googling either of these 2 error messages only yields: Missing Files but no side effects, which led me to the SFC scan in the 1st place, which solved the problem for him, but persist for me.
