I have tried three mouses third mouse new, usb wireless, changed ports, updated software, cleaned pc for virus,mallware and malicious software, use microsoft essentials for virus. Happens mostly when navigation in graphics.
View 1 Repliesurn off Instant On using an Asus laptopi'm having a non-virus (i'm pretty sure i've run MBAM,Avast!, and Super anti-spyware all pro version with nothing being picked up) related problem, about a week ago my hdd started freezing constantly (after MSW auto updates,i tryed sys-restore to no avial), this is a relatively old drive (about 5 years), and then suddenly a few days ago it refused to boot the OS and then i took it to the local IT guy and he got it to boot the OS but now i've noticed that my main admin account(i'm using my spare right now) will freeze when ever i try to open a program,it is still responsive to some key commands like alt-tab, and sometimes ctrl+shift+esc, after this happens explorer.exe becomes un-responsive and i have to hard boot the machine.

Custom built computer, ran on a sailor version of ultimate for a long time and had no problems. I recently double installed ultimate x64 with an upgrade dvd, and installing all the driver updates the computer would freeze constantly, sometimes even right after the login window. I installed sp1 successfully but still crashes constantly.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 Series laptop. It is a Intel Celeron, with 2GB of RAM and 146 GB hard drive space and it is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Every time I turn it on, it works normally, but then it freezes every 5-10 minutes and I have to turn it off by pressing the on/off button and when I turn it on again, same thing works and then freezes.

I have uninstalled it and all of its components one by one, re-installed and it will only work for so long before it acts up again.

When i first built it i was getting mouse lag of a split second and started getting the blue screen of death, so i then took my pc back to the shop in which i got the parts and they fixed it by replacing my ram i think.But even though they looked at it and re-installed windows im still getting mouse lag. It's not a HUGE problem when doing simple tasks like browsing the web ect.. but when im trying to play games like counter strike its just frustrating to play and trying to be accurate is a task in a half.Just to be clear, what i mean by mouse lag is a tiny delay from me moving the mouse and it displaying which is a fraction of a second but it's very noticeable.Ive tried using various mouses and tweaking the mouse settings in the controll panel and downloading the drivers that i know of but no matter what i do, there is always a slight lag of the mouse. I'm unsure if it's a hardware problem or software but i cant seem to figure it out and i want to try and find the source of the problem before resorting to going back to the shop because it will cost me to get their service and its a really long drive away.
I've been using 7137 for a long time, and I haven't had any problems with it until yesterday. I'll be doing normal stuff, like using Chrome, etc. When I try and click an icon on my taskbar, nothing happens. I get the blue spinning wheel.
To add, I can't even use keyboard shortcuts to open up Run, Task Manager, and more.
i found my computer is freezing all the time. I have had no problems with this up to now, but it's so bad, it's impossible to do anything. After i log in, the computer will freeze after a minute or two. Doesn't matter what i'm doing. I had a problem with freezing a year ago when i used an old Saitek joystick. I deleted the drivers and software and it worked fine after that. I was using that joystick again a month ago and the computer would still run fine. However, now, it doesn't. I deleted the drivers and software related to saitek and it still freezes without fail a minute or two after startup.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was using the Beta since Feb. with no problems whatsoever. When the time limit was up I installed the RC1. I did a freesh install, not an upgrade. Ever since the install, my display will freeze at random and the pc requires a hard reboot. I initially assumed it was a video driver issue. First, I updated all my drivers to the latest, but it kept happening. So I tried the driver for Vista, but it kept happening. Well, gaming and watching video is the main thing I do with my pc, so as is it is useless. I disabled the video driver so I could download another OS but it still freezes, even with no video driver.
I can't stay unfrozen long enough now to download a linux distro, and my XP is no good becasue it doesn't come with the drivers I need to get online, so I can't install it and update the drivers, so basically I'm screwed.
I have searched online for hours, but no real answers. Its frustrating as hell that the beta was working flawlessly, then they made me ugrade, now its broken.
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag

I would try to click on the wireless icon in the notifications bar and nothing would happen so I would then try and go to the Network and Sharing Center through the control panel and when I click on Network and Sharing Center the explorer that I am in freezes.I have looked on here to see if this is a common occurrence but I haven't been able to find anything similar to my issue.

Sometimes, I can use task manager to shut down instances of iexplore.exe*32 and it works again for a while. Sometimes, I am not allowed to close the instances with task manager as it says operationdenied.Malwarebytes returns 0 issues. I tried MS safety scanner and that also found nothing.I assume there is a virus or trojan at work here but I really don't know what else to do
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new dm3t series laptop. There are two issues that I'm having with the laptop that no one can seem to figure out. I literally had an HP tech remote access my laptop and spend an hour trying to figure out what was wrong.
I have tried system restore, recovery, re installation of drivers and really everything else they've asked me to do. I turn to the forum to see if anyone is can help, thanks much.
1) First issue is very annoying. When I awake my computer from sleep the mouse is very sluggish and doesn't hardly respond to the track pad. Furthermore, the mouse is a magnify glass and when I do try to move the mouse via track pad it just zooms in and out. Oddly enough, after a few minutes of sitting there the mouse starts to work again. It's almost like the mouse has to warm up. It is very frustrating.
2) Second issue is the display on battery power. When on battery power the screen CONSTANTLY is dimming and brightening itself. For instance as I'm typing this thread the screen is brightening and dimming for no apparant reason. I'm not sure why and i'm sure it is wasting my battery. I've tried all sorts of power management tips/ticks and still nothing.
Any help would be appreciated, should I just return it? What can I do?
I was using Windows 7 for few weeks already and now mouse started freezing for few seconds pretty often. After mouse unstucks, there is a sound like new devise is plugged in. I was trying to search any solutions @ google, but couldnt find any, except that other people also have same problem (mainly on windows vista). Im using simple USB mouse, tried to update various drivers but says that they are all up to date.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOver the night I turn off my Windows 7 computer. Some mornings, when I turn it on, the pc boots normally but the cursor is frozen on the desktop. The mouse itself is lighten up and seems ready to be used. That happens at random and force me to reboot once or twice to get it working. There is no virus. The mouse is a Logitech using a Windows 7 driver.

It really would be nice to know which driver. Can I blindly assume this to be mouse/keyboard related and that in lieu of deleting a driver I can simply install the latest Logitech drivers?
Please understand that my Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit w/SP1 is installed on a new Intel X25M SSD so I am not real eager to wipe the SSD and do a reinstall of Win 7 w/out SP1 (as I have been advised elsewhere)
I have upgraded from 32 bit Windows 7 to 64 bit Windows 7, and I've been having problems with it. After a while, a program would freeze, then everything else would freeze. I have checked for viruses, chkdsk, sfc /scannow, memtest86+, defragged updated my graphics drivers, etc, until I finally re-installed. The problem still persists, but it's not as dominant, but it is preventing me from working properly. I feel it's kinda obvious that something is activating it (but still random) but I don't know what.

The image freeze even if the pc is in idle. I have found another problem, the mouse cursor freeze for 2 sec (the image doesn't freeze, only the cursor), and after it's coming back to normal. I did reinstall the windows, update drivers and bios update, cleared cmos, tested the RAM with memtest86 (no errors).
I got a new machine recently and it all works fine, except the operating system seems to randomly freeze. When it does the only way I have found to get out of it is to manually plug it out and restartOn freeze the keyboard and mouse become entirely unresponsive, the cursor does not move, nor do either click buttons do anything, if I'm typing somewhere the text does not appear, and Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't bring up the usual screenI'm running windows 7 home premium on a 64 bit machine. Now since i went to windows 7, it often stutters when doing anything on my computer. The stutters usually are about a second long and are completely random. I could be playing a game, browsing the web, or anything else and it will stutter. When it does stutter, i do hear the "bu-dum" sound as if it was being disconnected/reconnected instantly. Sometimes the stutters dont happen for an hour, sometimes i get 5 within 15 seconds. I've tried installing drivers and what not.

Anyway, i tried to ignore this for a couple of days but now when they freeze, they won't come back and i have to reboot the computer manually.I've tried starting windows through safe mode. When this happens (I have Process Explorer minimized to tray) I can see that just about no CPU is being taken up either. So I know that this freeze isn't because my processor is being overworked. Also, it's not because I'm opening a program or anything, hence it is seemingly very random. Is there any reason why the mouse should randomly freeze from time to time when nothing that major is happening on the system?
