I tried to install a One Touch 9320 USB Scanner and received "adding printer driver failed". The software is out there but I cannot connect make a connection to the scanner. All the wires are connected.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a machine with windows 7x64 installed on an SSD in AHCI. MB is MSI FXA990-GD80 with AMD raid controller. I don't think there are two different controllers like some MBs. I have decided to add a RAID 5 array (I am not interested in discussing the validity of RAID 5 or that I need to us a different form of backup). I'm using RAID 5 and booting to the SSD.When I enable RAID, Windows bluescreens on startup. I tried running the windows startup repair utility and adding the AHCI driver from AMD which then detected the drive/windows installation and attempted to repair something, but it seems to have done nothing.I then thought I read I could set the mode to RAID-UEFI and boot to the SSD and configure the raid in windows, but the only thing it boots to then is the UEFI shell. Do I need to configure a boot device there?

After configuring it, it didn't work so I attempted to redo entries. I now get a message "port already exists" after I deleted the previous install. How do I delete the already in use port so I can start over? Windows 7 64 bit on just acquired Z570 Lenovo laptop.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just bought this new mouse razer lachesis 5600..when i plugged in the mouse, install the driver, it went ok, no problems at all.the problems start when i reboot, the screen just freeze at the motherboard screen (MSI 890fxa-gd70)..i remember reading from this forum, to try unplugged all usb device, i did that, and my pc can boot normally.. mouse also have no trouble if i plugged it after i got on windows.. but everytime i reboot with mouse plugged in, it always freeze at the mobo screen..or i should unplugged my mouse everytime i want to reboot?

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate. While trying to add a network printer (HP LaserJet 4250n) I got the following error message: Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e.
The printer works fine from my Windows 7 Pro desktop, and also from other laptops with Windows 7 Ultimate.
I've tried installing Microsoft's hotfix (982728), installing locally on LPT2 and running 'net use LPT2 \Computernamesharedprintername /persistent:yes', updating the driver. None of these worked.
I have two computers I want to connect to a network printer. The printer is a Konica Minolta. When I try to connect it to these computers I get:windows cannot connect to the printer operation failed with error 0x00000002 Both computers are windows 7 and previously were connected to the printer. I had to reinstall the OS on both machines thus the reason Im reconnecting the printer to them. The computers are attached to our domain. Other computers in the office are able to connect to and use this printer.

After hooking everything up, the computer runs till the windows 7 loading screen, then stalls and restarts. Upon restart I'm brought to the "windows has failed to start" message and attempting to repair through that yields no results. I hooked my old parts back up to make sure the hard drive was still good and it is. With the old parts everything boots normally.

It's called BoD_easyprint_de.It always worked on XP and now I was told that it works on Windows 7 64x. Just on my Windows 7 64x Laptop doesn't work. I can download the program and start installing it. Right at the end the installation stops, shows a problem by installing the driver and error 216 and closes the installation.

I have an older printer which has no USB connection. My new computer also does not have the old style printer port which is required for this printer.

I have an Epson multi function printer which I am trying to install in XP mode. The reason I am doing this is because the scanner wont work in Windows x64 bit, so I have tried to install it in XP mode. I went to the Epson website and got the x32 bit drivers and downloaded both the printer and scanner driver. The thing is though when I try to install them I get a message saying that I need to install the printer driver manually but I don't know what port it should go in.

i have been running windows 7 rc1 for a while now, I have a HP laserjet 1018 installed as a shared printer on a windows xp machine. From windows 7 rc1 I send jobs to this printer no problem. However, on my new retail version of windows 7 professional 32 bit the printer does not respond to print jobs. The document sits in the que for a few seconds then it just disappears.

I downloaded the latest drivers for my HP Photosmart 6280 printer and was able to successfully install my printer wirelessly. However, no such luck with my Sony. I download the same drivers, and it goes through part of the installation, but at some point I get a message that 'the system cannot find the file specified', and then it rolls back the install, deleting the download.
