How To Set Up A WLAN Station Using Dial Up Connection

I recently received a HP notebook 110 which has a WLAN setup ( I believe this is WiFi). At home I use an older computer, a HP a1000n Pavillion with a 56k internal modem and MSN dialup. Is it possible to set up a WiFi station so I can my notebook can access the Internet? I am posting this here because the notebook using Windows 7, though my Pavilion uses XP. If this is the wrong area, please let me know and I will be move to the correct area.For anybody who wishes to reply, the answers must be complete and with a minimum of jargon so I will be able to understand them.

I do a lot of tech support for my family, however I'm a bit stumped a family member presented me with a problem on her hp netbook. She has verizon internet which is dial up and has a belkin router broadcasting the signal. Today however she was unable to connect. Usualy a box would pop up when she would connect to the network or a notification window would come up saying it is connecting to the dial connection. The window did have a box to check or un check asking to do it automaticaly, My question is how would i go about checking the box again and connecting the dial up connection?

I have a 3G connection which at times need to be redialled. But the problem is in Windows 7 the maximum limit is 99.

Suddenly, my direct connected (Cat 5 to the broadband modem) computer is asking me to dial a connection. It no longer seems to know that it is simply connected. When I look at the devices tab, it shows Enabled for my network card and I have tried to reinstall the drivers.I dual boot with Ubuntu and Ubuntu is able to access the internet (and network) fine.

I am using a Dial up connection but when I have to connect dial up connection then I have to change my local area connection ip. Is there any tip or method which is able to my local area connection ip through batch programming/Command prompt ?I need random ips every time before connect from dial up connection. Would it be possible from batch programming.

I have 135Mbps link speed support ADSL WI-FI router. I have enabled 802.11b+g+n wireless mode and use 20+40 MHz on my router. I use "WAP-PSK" authentication. In addition to that, have a 2.4 & 5 GHz frequency support router and client device.
But my network connection display (WLAN) I have a 54Mbps link speed, why is that? How do I use 135Mbps or at least 100Mbps link speed? Is it a some configuration issue? My Ethernet connection show full speed (100Mbps). (I'm not talking about my internet connection speed).

I've setup my father's notebook (Win 7 32Bit) to connect via WLAN to the router. Another notebook is already running on that router (did not tried it parallel at the same time yet).
I've setup SSID (I've made it visible at the router for the initial connection), WPA2 & TKIP incl. password. Router allows additional WLAN devices, IP/DNS etc. should be set by the router.
Automatic connection does not connect to the router. Manual connection seems to work, but shortly after "connecting" I'll get a message to input user and password. I have not seen such a screen in conjunction with WLAN connection before (and I've set-up several devices at different routers). I've tried user and password of the user logged into windows, but this did not work.

Info: the card never had a vista or windows 7 driver. A computer skilled took out a folder from the windows xp installer. Through device manager the folder is installed as driver, and the wlan card works. I wanted to use ubuntu 'remote terminal server'.Connected via pc to pc lan cross over cable. Maybe the connection succeded because ping test was ok. But never made the
program 'remote terminal server' work. At a point zonealarm made trouble, allthough disabled. Shutting down computer worked. Error: Next time I turned on the computer, wlan didn't work. The wlan card makes the connection but there is a yellow triangle on the wifi icon in taskbar. Under network it keeps hanging, messaging 'identifying'.I tried this: Reinstalling zonealarm basic. Reinstalling wlan card folder driver. Didn't work.

As the screenshot shows, there is an annoying "dial up connection" window that randomly appears while I'm using the pc. I can't access the inter net while this is there so I have to close it

I'm having a problem with networking a new Windows 7 laptop with a Vista workstation. The problem is with the Windows 7 laptop. While I can access the Windows 7 laptop from tne Vista workstation, I cannot access the V station from my laptop. It shows the complete network, but cannot access the work station, telling me that my modem is at fault, which is not true. A week ago i turned my Win 7 HP Laptop into wireless router which is on EVDO 3G dial up using the windows (ICS) to connect my second Win 7 Dell laptop which was successful.Unfortunately, i ran out of data and now that i have recharged my Evdo 3G dial up modem hoping to continue browsing on both laptops, the Dell laptop which in this case is the client is showing connection signal but each time i tried to connect, this error will come up- Access type : No Internet access along with the dreaded yellow triangle alert on the system tray. Although when i plug the modem directly to the Dell laptop, it does browse smoothly. I have Google and read almost everything concerning this online including this forum but i have not come across a solution that is peculiar to mine.

I have just one computer. When I connect to the internet via dial-up, my computer says I'm part of a network and it wants me to choose between Public Network and Home Network.
I'm assuming the "network" detected is my dial-up connection and that I should choose "Public Network". Am I assuming correctly, or is my network type selection irrelevant to my dial-up settings.

new install of win7 64bit, and updates current.
have added esata port via sata port on mob; but can't locate it in device manager.
because of this, I assume that is why I can't get the eSATA cable from blacx docking station to work.
The USB cable works fine.
driver issue is only my best guess...help appreciated,and I am hoping it is simple fix.

i got problem with my mobile dial up modem, the modem was detected on device manager, and queryable on the modem properties itself, but i dont know why my modem cant be found when i try to create new dial up connection. i try to research over google and found, it could be the telephony problem, and yes when i try to open phone & modem control panel, then the error showed Code: phone and modem control panel can not be opened. you may have a problem starting telephony service , then i try to restaring the telephony service on windows services, i dont know why this problem occured, cause yesterday everything is just fine...

So i turned on my pc after coming home from work,sat down on the couch to watch TV first and suddenly some random death metal started coming from my PC was scary as hell.I wasn't even logged into my profile on windows!But it defnitly was coming from the PC cause i could see on my Mixer (for djing) that the sound was coming from my PC.Logged into my profile and click the mixer at the bottom right of the screen,sound was coming from MCE host i have it mutted right now because the sound is still coming from it...sometimes it also comes from internet explorer.This happens everytime i start my pc and always a different station sometimes rap or people talking ect...Cannot find anything new in startup folder either.

I have speed dial set as my start page. I've got 9 sites on Speed Dial. I don't use custom pics, although I do use a custom skin.Every now and then when opening Opera, it 'freezes' at the Speed Dial tab for 3-7 secs before displaying all tabs/windows. When it 'freezes', all tiles are the + symbol and are blank.Once it 'unfreezes', all is normal.It seems to happen sporadically upon a new start. Once the browser is open, the issue does not reoccur.It's been going on for the last 3 weeks to a month - same version, same skin.Basically, one day it just started happening without any changes to the browser. Prior to this, it loaded instantly 100% of the time.I've cleared cookies/cache the normal way and it's still happening. I've culled a few sites from speed dial without a positive result.
