How To Connect 2 Monitors With Windows Seven Laptop With Docking Station
Jan 19, 2012
i have an HP laptop in a docking station and want to connect 2 external monitors. one is connected with a vga cable the other with a DVI cable. there is a DVI port on the docking station.the monitor with the DVI cable will not come on. can i use both monitors?
I have a Dell laptop on a docking station running Windows 7. Everyday I place it on the docking station and use my 20 inch monitor. Is it possible to activate the dual monitor feature and use the 20 inch as the primary and use the open laptop as the secondary monitor?
I am not getting any sound out of my speakers that are connected to the docking station. All the sound comes out through the built in speakers. I check playback devices and "Speakers" is listed with nothing to configure.
performed a search and couldn't find this, but i am trying to connect a new second monitor via dvi d dual link cable, however i get an error message that ccc cannot support two monitors from different graphic engines, the other monitor is connected via hmdi.
i was under the impression that dvi d and hmdi would work together from the graphics card, but this appears not to be the case. I can have them both running via hmdi/dvi i or dvi d and dvi i but not hmdi dvi d.
When in the docking station (), however I tend do have problems. I thought initially it was just related to the NIC card as it seemed to only start misbehaving under a lot of network activity and disabling the NIC and running only on wireless seemed to fix it.
For a total of three including the laptop screen. My laptop is a Dell E5420 with a VGA out on one side, and a HDMI on the other. I can also put it in a docking station and have a DVI connection there. I believe I have the hardware, but do not know what to do.
Recently I've been having issues with my laptop and dual monitors. I have been plugging my laptop into the DVI port of external monitors. After a few days, my external monitor would lose signal if I selected to show the desktop only on monitor 2, but now, whenever I plug in my second monitor, both my laptop monitor and the external monitor go black. I've had this happen with two monitors now, and I can't think of what could cause this. Can repeatedly plugging in a monitor break it?
how to get this done. I have an HDMI and a VGA out on my laptop, or I can do a VGA out on laptop, and an additrional VGA out on it in a docking station plus I can do DVI from dock to HDMI on one of the monitors. I felll like I'm about there, but am missing something.
I receive this error stating that Windows Work Station not Started Error 1068 dependancy service or group failed to start. I tried to start the work station from services.msc but it failed

I'm having a problem with networking a new Windows 7 laptop with a Vista workstation. The problem is with the Windows 7 laptop. While I can access the Windows 7 laptop from tne Vista workstation, I cannot access the V station from my laptop. It shows the complete network, but cannot access the work station, telling me that my modem is at fault, which is not true. Any ideas how I can persuade my Windows 7 Laptop to access the network which it shows, and access my workstation files?
I recently received a HP notebook 110 which has a WLAN setup ( I believe this is WiFi). At home I use an older computer, a HP a1000n Pavillion with a 56k internal modem and MSN dialup. My HP Pavilion Entertainment Laptop Model dv6602 au on a broadband cable cannot connect to the Internet. The cable is directly connected to ethernet port on laptop. When I connect the cable to the wireless router - my laptop gets connected to the Internet but if I want to use the cable directly to my laptop - it does not.If I connect the same cable to other laptops - the broad band connection works but not on my laptop.
