I keep getting this error whenever I try to open creative audio center to access cmdss, eax effects, bass settings, etc. I am using Sigamtel HD Audio Codec, Logitech X-540 ( Decreased Volume output from vista to 7, instead of leaving my volume knob halfway I have to turn it max). I get sound, but I don't get to access my Creative Audio Center settings.
View 1 Repliesa few days ago i've installed Windows 7 64-bit(ultimate),everything seems to be going well except for the sound card -.-, I go on the creative site and download the drivers for 64 bit windows seven, but when it comes to the end of the installation gives me a message saying the device is not supported as well if I try to open the audio console same message, I tried the modified drivers and the problem seemed to be resolved, but it is not the same as the original drivers, does anyone know how to fix?
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy Windows 7 x64 (7100) found after a clean install new optional updates which included drivers for my soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio. I also used the drivers I got with the cd and installed them on my system. Everything is working now except a few options. I get sound in 5.1, but when I select options like X-Fi Crystallizer, X-Fi CMSS-3D or just change the volume bars (FL, FR, RL, etc) nothing happens!
Before I installed Windows7 x64 I was using Windows XP Pro x86 without any problems. When using the above mentioned options they did changed the sound.
Is it possible that I've to download drivers by my self instead of the Windows updates one?
Does somebody know what I'm doing wrong?
It's nice to see that Creative have released beta drivers for the X-Fi Xtreme Audio card. That's for the PCI version not PCI Express.

Ive got Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio in, ive downloaded the xp, vista and 7 beta drivers from creative, they either say driver version not found OR they say the device isn't plugged in properly, which it is having run it with xp. The only thing i don't have is the disk anymore.
Has anyone managed to get this sound card working with 7? if so how did you manage it?

Upgraded from Vista 64 to Win7 64 and the Creative audio console stopped working. I get a message saying that a compatible device is not detected.
Installed the latest Realtek HD audio drivers, and the problem still persists.
Any ideas?
I have the Creative Esoniq Audio PCI sound card which I bought when I still had Windows XP. I've now installed Windows 7, but dont have the correct drivers to enable my soundcard for Windows 7. if at all Creative Ensoniq will work on Windows 7?

But my Norton 360 isn't off, just the ACTION CENTER on the Control Center SECURITY SETTINGS shows OFF.I have to turn my 360 off and on to reset it.Never happened before.

Sound is successfully comming out, but it is screwed up, it fades in and out and has terrible quality (driver from clean install). I am using this sound card, have looked around the forum and have come across a post leading to this driver, unfortunately the download link is no longer working, and was posted several months ago, so maybe there is a newer driver available. View 5 Replies View RelatedSystem has been blessed with a new lease of life. Faster, more responsive and my god Windows 7 looks sexy! Now, if there is a tiny niggle of an issue, then it is why I am posting today. I have the Creative Xtreme Audio soundcard on my system and Windows 7 has updated it to all the latest drivers. Sound seems ok and thus far it is not reporting any problems. I have the Creative Media Organiser and all the other mod cons etc etc. However, where has my Volume Panel interface gone? In Win XP, I had it permanently attached to my task bar. Basically, a little volume icon if you like in bottom right corner with everything else. You right click the icon and then you get the entertainment console where you can change settings etc. Looked nice, even in XP. I must admit I'm a tad disappointed it's not here in Windows 7 and also confused as to why everything else is here except that facility.Do I have to download it separately? I don't fancy putting my original CD in that came with PC from day one as I'd have to manually look for that particular component and extract it. Infact, I don't even know if that is an option as I am pretty sure it formed part of the whole "Medisource Go" package and I have that and it's up to date.

I configured for a Quadraphonic Speakers configuration. Tested sound, using Manage Audio Device, at all four speakers and I could hear the sound. However, when I used the Window Medial Player or any other player, no rear speakers sound can be heard.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a PCTV Nanostick DVD-T2 290e I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I use Windows Media Center for almost everything. I run a media center machine in my lounge through my Sony AV Amp onto my HD TV.I bought the Nanostick to watch �Freeview HD� programmes when watching the TV through the Media Center � I also have a Sony Freeview Plus system that the Mrs uses.I installed the Nanostick with relatively no issues and as described by many user reviews Media Center picked up the new USB tuner and scanned all the new channels and I was presented with all the HD channels. The issue I have is that there is no audio sound from the HD channels but perfect video. SD works fine.The software that comes with the Nanostick works fine � both sound and vision are perfect for the HD channels.
As mentioned, I run my Media Centre lots. I have an extensive DVD and BD collection stored on a server and DVD and BD all play perfectly through Arcsoft Total Media Theatre 5 � with no issues on either SD or HD. My sound card is built into my motherboard and that sends the audio signal to my gfx card and that in turn passes it through to my Sony AV Amp that decodes the audio to be heard on my 5.1 set up.
I'm using HP Pavilion dv6114tx laptop which has SPDIF audio support which is connected to Logitech 5.1 audio system thru 3.5mm three audio jacks.
When i play the song/movie i get all the speakers and subwoofer working fine. But when i test the audio thru the Speakers Test thru Windows Media Center all the speakers are working except the subwoofer.
A colleague at work has this really weird thing going when logging in to Windows 7 professional 64bit.While he is typing his password, a window from the ease of access center pops up uninvited.Also I'm interested in removing the ease of access button from the login screen altogether.I only found 1 thing on google about it, but only for removing the button, I found nothing about the popup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got an emacines 1360g to use on a 2nd tv. I want to stream from my main htpc with win 7 media center to it through media center. I had hoped that this machine would be good enough. Added a wireless n USB adapter other than that it is stock with only 2 gb of ram. I have the tv Hooked up via hdmi with 720p resolution.When I look at network drives through windows explorer, it seems to react fairly quickly. When I try to access movies list from media center, it takes forever (>10 mins) and doesn't bing all of them up. same with recorded tv or music or pictures.Is my problem that emachines pc needs more ram or do you think it could be wireless network connection or a setting. I have another laptop that streams great from my main htpc so I don't think it is network,especially since win explorer seems to work fairly quickly. Is it possible t get this system to do media center streaming?

I'm so at a lost as to why video won't work. I use WINTV7 and everything is perfect. Like to use WMC as it is had your tv listings and and quickly record what i want.
Is there any way to compensate for the bluetooth headphone audio delay while watching Live TV in Media Center? For movies it's simple I can do it through Media Player Classic but I don't see how to change any kind of audio shifting setting within Media Center.

It's quite annoying since i have to change it back to the settings I need every time it does that. It was working just fine before that. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to access my mouse settings to change the speed of my mouse and the touch sensitivity and every time i go to start > control panel > mouse and try to click on it nothing happens.So i did a little test to see if its actually trying to load the file or not and i open task manager and click on the mouse setting and i saw some processes opening and after about 2 sec it disappears so i guess the files are trying to load but it being intercepted by something or i could be completely wrong.After that i run my laptop on safe mode to see if i can access my mouse settings and no luck there because the mouse setting i was looking for wasn't there to begin with. i guess that's because of the safe mode that limits the files and driver and only allows necessary ones run.

I've bought an HP printer recently.My problem comes from the administration rights conflicts in win 7.When I call the printer from the administrator account, everything works perfect as it should.However when logged in as a user the printer takes about 2 min between call and print....And I can't access to print settings..I'd like to set it up so it work the way it should...My printer is a USB device.When going to device and printer as an administrator, I get the list.When going as a user, I get nothing on page....

I can establish a serial connections (fleeting) when using the Blue Soleil and Toshiba Stacks... but still can not use the activesync service (just serial port... which will not create the correct comm partnerships... and stereo headset).
But, what I find to be truly strange is... when using the default MS Stack (with CSR radio drivers), I can not access the Bluetooth settings via the task tray (right click). Furthermore... putting both devices in discovery mode (my laptop via add device functionality) neither device detects the other.
