Ease Of Access Center Popup During Login?
Sep 6, 2012A colleague at work has this really weird thing going when logging in to Windows 7 professional 64bit.While he is typing his password, a window from the ease of access center pops up uninvited.Also I'm interested in removing the ease of access button from the login screen altogether.I only found 1 thing on google about it, but only for removing the button, I found nothing about the popup.

Oct 23, 2012I believe this problem was caused by CCleaner/Revouninstaller, that's the only thing that did changes to my system before this happens. I tried searching for solutions on Google, and I found this guy with the exact same problem.(url) (Screenshot provided by him, perhaps this can help better understand my problem) Tried System Repair/Restore and Safe Mode, none worked. I followed up with a " Last known good config " option, but the problem is still there.

Mar 12, 2010Ease of Access Center - Add or Remove from Logon Screen.I search a long time for a solution to disable the "Ease of Access" Button on the login screen on Windows 7 _x86 and _x64. I found a solution, but this was only for the x86 version of Windows 7. If you use this version on a _x64 machine, the login screen remains black.Microsoft did not include the function to disable the "Ease of Access" button on the login screen and this can be very dangerous within a multi user environment. This button is hard coded within the login UI. Therefore no regkey or something else is available to disable it.Out of this case I patched the authui.dll. This dll is responsible for the login screen and the shitty button.I made two ready pachted dll files. One for the x86 and one for the x64 operating system of Windows 7. The version of the files are from the original Windows 7 DVD and the version Nr. of the dll's are: 6.1.7600.16385. You can use this files on every language version of Windows 7 because this files are language independent.What was made - if you want to do it with your files by yourself:
1. Download Resource Turner (the version 1.99 can only handle x86 files!) or use Restorator 2007 Patch
2. This version can handle both x86 and x64 files.Open it any you will see 4 entries within the UIFILE section.
3 xml files (12400, 12401, 12402) and 1 txt file (14000)

Jun 11, 2012I just got an emacines 1360g to use on a 2nd tv. I want to stream from my main htpc with win 7 media center to it through media center. I had hoped that this machine would be good enough. Added a wireless n USB adapter other than that it is stock with only 2 gb of ram. I have the tv Hooked up via hdmi with 720p resolution.When I look at network drives through windows explorer, it seems to react fairly quickly. When I try to access movies list from media center, it takes forever (>10 mins) and doesn't bing all of them up. same with recorded tv or music or pictures.Is my problem that emachines pc needs more ram or do you think it could be wireless network connection or a setting. I have another laptop that streams great from my main htpc so I don't think it is network,especially since win explorer seems to work fairly quickly. Is it possible t get this system to do media center streaming?

Aug 16, 2009My wife and I each have user accounts and we "Switch User" back and forth all the time, and sometimes leave it at the logon screen with our two icons to click on.
In XP, the screensaver would run on the logon screen, but I'm noticing that nothing happens from the logon in 7. We have use the photo screensaver which makes it a digital picture frame of sorts, but if you leave it at the logon, you'll come back an hour later to see our two icons waiting for you.
Has the screensaver on logon been removed or is there a configuration I'm missing?

Mar 6, 2012I am trying to minimalise my logonscreen, so far I have removed Windows Branding, every option but Start Task Manager, Ease of Access Button and the Shut Down button along with applying a custom wallpaper.Basically all I see is a Cancel button, wallpaper and Start Task Manager.However I would like to remove the arrow infront of Start Task Manager, theme the Cancel button so it does not look really glossy, and stop it automatically selecting the Top Item (Start Task Manager) automatically everytime I launch CTRL+ALT+DELETE.I would also like to remove the Switch User button from the Logon Screen and disable the loading wheel while shutting down and bootin

I've tried creating a jpeg (the correct size) in windowssystem32oobeinfoackgrounds (saved as defaultBackground) and making a chage in the registry to:
HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Authentication>LogonUI>Background... Key OEMBackground value 1 ... but to no avail.
What is interesting is that the original MS background file ((bitmap) in system 32oobe) that is the welcome screen has security permissions on it .... with Adminstrators only having Read/Read and Execute ONLY... O.O
TrustedInstaller has full rights to it .
Any suggestions?

Mar 25, 2010I have a dual monitor setup, with a 1280x1024 VGA monitor coupled with a DVI 1920x1080 monitor. I use the 1920x1080 one as primary, because I like to play a few videogames and they're much better on the widescreen (and higher res).
However, I'd like to be able to display the windows 7 logon screen on the secondary (vga) monitor, it's just a minor bug but I'd like it that way because whenever I wake up my computer, the vga monitor wakes up almost instantly but the widescreen seems to take a few seconds to wake up, and I'd like to be able to input my password and start using my PC right away - I use an nvidia card if that means anything (maybe the ati drivers support it but not nvidia I don't know).
White Screen After Logon?
Oct 3, 2012Recently I've been experiencing a white screen after I log in. It appears for about 2 minutes and then everything loads as normal, but everything does seem a little slow.
I got the white screen a few times, tried to boot in safe mode but it got stuck at 'classpnp.sys'. My laptop is working as normal right now, I left the white screen and it finally showed my desktop, but should I be worried about these white screens?
I'm using an asus a52f with 3gb ram. Sorry if this isn't enough info, I'll try to give any more details if you need them.
