A colleague at work has this really weird thing going when logging in to Windows 7 professional 64bit.While he is typing his password, a window from the ease of access center pops up uninvited.Also I'm interested in removing the ease of access button from the login screen altogether.I only found 1 thing on google about it, but only for removing the button, I found nothing about the popup.

Ease of Access Center - Add or Remove from Logon Screen.I search a long time for a solution to disable the "Ease of Access" Button on the login screen on Windows 7 _x86 and _x64. I found a solution, but this was only for the x86 version of Windows 7. If you use this version on a _x64 machine, the login screen remains black.Microsoft did not include the function to disable the "Ease of Access" button on the login screen and this can be very dangerous within a multi user environment. This button is hard coded within the login UI. Therefore no regkey or something else is available to disable it.Out of this case I patched the authui.dll. This dll is responsible for the login screen and the shitty button.I made two ready pachted dll files. One for the x86 and one for the x64 operating system of Windows 7. The version of the files are from the original Windows 7 DVD and the version Nr. of the dll's are: 6.1.7600.16385. You can use this files on every language version of Windows 7 because this files are language independent.What was made - if you want to do it with your files by yourself:
1. Download Resource Turner (the version 1.99 can only handle x86 files!) or use Restorator 2007 Patch
2. This version can handle both x86 and x64 files.Open it any you will see 4 entries within the UIFILE section.
3 xml files (12400, 12401, 12402) and 1 txt file (14000)

View 0 Replies View RelatedI just got an emacines 1360g to use on a 2nd tv. I want to stream from my main htpc with win 7 media center to it through media center. I had hoped that this machine would be good enough. Added a wireless n USB adapter other than that it is stock with only 2 gb of ram. I have the tv Hooked up via hdmi with 720p resolution.When I look at network drives through windows explorer, it seems to react fairly quickly. When I try to access movies list from media center, it takes forever (>10 mins) and doesn't bing all of them up. same with recorded tv or music or pictures.Is my problem that emachines pc needs more ram or do you think it could be wireless network connection or a setting. I have another laptop that streams great from my main htpc so I don't think it is network,especially since win explorer seems to work fairly quickly. Is it possible t get this system to do media center streaming?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my OS a few months ago to 64 bit with new components etc. I kept all of the old system files and folders JUST for if it went wrong, now ive sorted them all out, the old system files, and adobe is locked for some reason? I keep trying to change all of the administration but it just jumps straight back to before, but hey, im in no hurry to change it, its only 15gb of useless copies! Its just niggling at me and i would like to get it sorted if theres any other way? ie changing the admin account so i can change - everything-, as I'm not exactly new with computers, been studying them for years.
- Also, a little off topic if anyones got enough time to add some wisdom to the thread, ive just bought a super duper cooler for my CPU as when i run on normal settings on a game I play, LotrO, the manufacturers fan goes mad, and it really gets my goat making a loud whirring sound, would I be able to run on High-Ultra with a duel core amd athlon 2? with that fan I have "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Socket 775 CPU Cooler" it wouldnt make any sound as its made for being quiet and cool very well. i suppose the only sign of the strain is artifacts in-game?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWoke up today to find my computer (which I never turn off) sitting at the login screen saying "Please Wait..." I've seen it say that before, but only when you'd type your password incorrectly and it hangs for a second before it goes back to the login screen. Anyway, when I type my password in and click login the system just hangs at the "Welcome" screen. I left it for over and hour and came back, still hanging. I've seen older threads on here suggesting to enable "boot log" after pressing f8, that did nothing.
I am able to log into the computer on an old admin account that I created over a year ago, it's never been used, it works fine. Acts like a fresh install and only half my programs are there unfortunately. However, programs can be reinstalled. My biggest problem is that when I go into my files on the old account while logged into my fresh account I can access everything after gaining access, but when I try to open "Desktop" from the old account the system just Hangs, just like it does while trying to log into my normal account.
When I right click to examine the properties of "desktop" on the normal account, it says 0 bytes, in fact 0 everything, like it doesn't exist. This is really bad because a lot of my work is saved in folders on my desktop and I need the data from there. When I logged into the new account and gained access to my files and saw that I could read everything fine in my documents I had a sigh of relief figuring that all I would have to do would be a re-install or continue on a new account. Doesn't it just figure that the desktop folder isn't working?
I'm having an annoying problem. With my desktop computer I'm unable to access the webmail login for my work website. I'm not positive, but I thought it might be due to the full version trial of Malwarebytes that I installed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Malwarebytes using Revo Uninstaller, and now have just the standard version, and I still have the problem.
I can access my work website (except for the webmail login), but when I try to ping my work website I get "general failure" results. I also get "general failure" results when pinging the webmail login.I can access the webmail login through my laptop. The reason I think it might be Malwarebytes is because from what I remember random websites stopped loading after I opted for the full version trial.I tried disabling Windows Firewall and Security Essentials real time scanning I've tried to access the webmail login using Firefox, Chrome and IE and none worked. I've tried using my cell phone as a modem to bypass the router and that didn't work.
When I login I get the following:

But I already have permission: I'm logged in as that person. I change to name to "corrupted" and tried to delete but won't work...
i have a fresh installed os windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. And everytime i open a browser cmd keeps on popping up with but instantly closes..
i have already did a Full System Scan with my Antivirus kaspersky 2012, Did a Full System Scan using MalwareByte's Anti-Malware, Did a Full System Scan using SuperAntiSpyware found some infected files but still the cmd popup thingy is still there heres a copy of my hijackthis log file..

In Windows Live Mail Version 2011 (15.4.3538.513), when a new mail is downloaded from the IMAP server, there is no sound or popup notification. I think that all necessary sound / notification settings are properly checked in Windows Live Mail > Mail > Options. My sound is ok. I even get a windows default sound, when some error is notified in Windows Live Mail. I have been using OE (under XP) and WinMail (under Vista), and this problem does not happen there.

When I try to connect I immediately get a popup box with this msgI've tried it with 3 different versions of Real Player but get the identical msg every time,s not necessarily the Player's settings.I have a Belkin Play router & am using Microsoft SE as my antivirus program and use both Firefox & IE9 as browsers.I've no understanding of UDP/TCP & ports etc & really don't want to start meddling with them until I know that's what I really have to do, & also get specific instructions etc.

It's easy to forget that I need to check my email for customer messages each half hour (or thereabouts). The company wants me to use gmail so I can't configure incoming messages to make a sound. Even if I could, it would be better just to do a scheduled check.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 a few months ago. I started having problems soon after. So I reinstalled Win 7, Friday. The same problems continued. One that my son found was when we installed Spy Sweeper. That made it impossible to switch between users, so we uninstalled it. The other major problem has been the Developer's Tools window that pops up when I try to type any reply or information into any program on the internet. I can't get rid of it by hitting the X. After about an hour on the computer, that stops. Does anyone have an idea on what could cause this?

The ext hdd isn't listed under devices in the auto play (where u can pick settings for individual devices) which I found out here : What would keep a device from appearing under "Devices" in AutoPlay?
If you have connected a volume device to your computer (for example, a USB flash drive or external hard drive), that device will not appear in the Devices section of AutoPlay. AutoPlay only lists non-volume devices (for example, some digital cameras, video cameras, and phones).
This is because these devices don't use a standard file system and AutoPlay cannot browse the contents of these devices to see what types of files they contain.
