I get a red flag from the little ACTION CENTER icon at bottom once a week saying that my anti-virus, firewall, anti spyware is off. But my Norton 360 isn't off, just the ACTION CENTER on the Control Center SECURITY SETTINGS shows OFF.I have to turn my 360 off and on to reset it.Never happened before.
I Windows 7 Home Premium. My windows is getting the updates but when it says configuring windows it doesn't do it and says it failure to config and is reverting back.I also cannot turn on Windows Security Center.I appears something happened 8/15. I tried microsoft's fixes and system restore which hasn't fixed the problems.[CODE]
When I go to Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsNotification Area Icons dialog then there are a lot of programs which are already uninstalled.
How can I cleanup/delete all these useless entries? How can I delete ONE single entry manually?
Second question: Assume I want to hide icons and notification for mutiple/all entries (here approx 40 items) in ONE STEP.
Third question: How can I save/backup the current notification settings (for later restore) into a file? Are these notifcation settings stored in a certain branch of the Registry (which exactly) ?
Using a Sagent SBT TVFM card connected to a Dish Network Dual Receiver as a 2nd TV connection of Antenna, channel 21. Receiver is an HDTV for 1st TV only, so taken from 2nd TV connection, not HDTV. Under XP, using Sagent's software, set to Antenna, channel 21, receive TV fine. However, under Windows 7 Media Center, set to same, receive a "No Signal" Error. However, if changing channel either one up or one down and back to 21, TV display comes on for about 10 seconds after which it goes back to no signal.Have updated the driver for this card to the latest Windows 7 driver, using Driver Agent.
Searching for a piece of software that can have me see the volume i raise up and down.Important thing is i also want it working in games. I didnt found any that worked in full screen games.
I am trying to set my monitor's screen give accurate renditions of my pictures. I use Quick Gamma to set gamma. When doing this I can use either Nvidia's controls or windows controls (right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel. When using Nvidia's Control Panel, there are two choices: Use other applications control color settings or Use Nvidia settings. Am I correct in assuming that the former setting is Windows? I always check the button to use Nvidia settings (and then Apply>OK), but when I go back to this screen at a later time, the Other applications control color settings is always selected. I'd like to default to Nvidia.
my control panel shows' this file is empty' whenever i click n it. However I can see the organizer but they are not functioning. How do i get the control panel to delete fragment of java?
i've been having a problem with my keyboard in PC games , i'm using windows 7.. it's all going fine during the gameplay all button are working fine .. but in the control setting menu or whenever a tip shows up buttons are undefined .. see the photo to know what i mean.hat's from "max payne3" .. the game is working well and all buttons are working as they should but as you can see they are undefined in the controls menu or whenever a tip shows up -although they actually are working- , note that this only happens with the letter keys the numbers and "ctrl, alt, shift" are just fine..also note that i've tried in other games and still the same problem , I've also tried another keyboard and still the same issue.

So I wanted to install newest version of catalyst control center and it would install it but nothing would change. I formatted my laptop and still it wont install the newest version of ccc. I downloaded a driver from toshibas site it would install that but it seems like an old version (2010.0315.1050.17562).

Ive been trying to install this program on my computer because when i plug my laptop by HDMI cable to my Samsung TV, the resolution does not fit well and everything looks pixelated. My friend had the same problem but his laptop included the Catalyst Control Center and he made some adjustments and the problem was solved.I already installed the program but when i right click on my deskop the program doesnt show up on the options, on my control panel it says it is installed but it wont open for some reason. My computer is an HP Pavillion dv4-4068la with Intel HD graphics card.
This is a little embarrassing, but I can't seem to find out what some of the on screen control are doing when watching live TV. That is, the small coloured button on the left hand side of the screen, to the left of the Text TV button. Also, the two button to the left of the coloured button, I am grateful for any advice. My TV works just fine by the way, jsut that I like to know what option there is to use.
I got a Sapphire Radeon HD 6700 series, my monitor is a little wierd so i was adjusting it with catalyst control center, later i updated catalyst and now it wont even open.
I've been having this issue with multiple versions of Windows 7 (beta, RC, and now retail), so I'm wondering what the issue could be. I did a search for this but didn't find anything - if there is a thread, please close this and direct me to the right place!Anyways, I have a Radeon HD 4850 and am using Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I have been trying to install the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) for quite some time now, but it always ends in the same result - a blue screen. I've downloaded several different versions since the public release of Windows 7 (tried about 5 driver versions) and each has been an equal failure. The only way I update my driver is by extracting the files from the CCC downloader and updating them via the device manager which works fine.
I got a virus (winupgro.exe). Afterwards, that program showed up in my task manager, but I was unable to end the process. I also got a notification that I would need to restart my computer in order to turn off UAC. Since I did not want to turn off UAC, I went back in, and turned the UAC back on. I then ran a virus scan with Norton. It didnt seem to find my virus, so I just shut down the computer.Winupgro.exe no longer shows up in task manager, but I cannot turn on Windows Security Center - getting the dialog box "The Windows Security Center service can't be started".Malwarebytes was able to find and remove it, but I still cannot open windows security center (after a restart).I used FreeCommander to run create md5 checksums. After searching the output file, I did not find any references to winupgro or its checksum string.
im running windows 7 64bit. i cant get it started. its not under services. or in the control panel. i did a full anti virus scan. and a malware scan. PC is clean. i went in the action center. and tried to turn it on but i get this popup
friend had one of the 2011 viri variants that i removed with rkill/malwarebytes BUT afterwards he kept getting a security center warning that automatic updates was turned off:if i try to turn it on i get an error saying it cant be done [URL]...
Windows Security Center will not start, regardless of whether I'm in my regular account, or admin. I have tried fixing it based off some info I "researched" on-line, but it claims that my user account isn't the same as others using the same process....All of the others I have looked at in Services all say "Network Service", just like I tried setting the WSC to.
will I loss some functionality if I disable this service? I'm using 3rd party firewall and MSE as AV so I don't care too much about builtin firewall and DAP. I need however to connect another computer at home via ethernet cable. If I turn this off, stops something to work?
I just installed Windows 7 over my VISTA OS on my new Toshiba Notebook. Since I have only 3 GB of RAM I installed the 32 Bit Version of Windows 7...
VERY DISAPPOINTED immediately as I encountered 2 issues
1. McAfee Security Center is alerting me that software is Not Compatible....
2. Internet Explorer barely runs... and when I exit IE, there is no less than 30 second delay before the window closes... even if I have just opened IE and immediately close (meaning nothing has cached to be cleared)..
