FIX C-Media Drivers (works With Club3D Theatron)
Just signed up to share this with you all, since you helped me with 7 so much. Normaly I'm such a noob, but I guess I fixed the C-Media chipset problem. It's rather easy. It appears that the HT Omega Striker 7.1 (C-Media chipset) works perfectly with Windows 7 RC. So I downloaded the driver (here HT Omega - Driver Downloads) for my Club3D Theatron DD (also C-Media chipset).
After that I had the Xear3D working. Than I installed the drivers to my own soundcard. Somehow it didn't update the Xear3D program. After assigning the sounds to digital out in the control panel and in Xear3D, I have full working 5.1 out via toslink.

How To Fix Unknown Drivers
I have installed windows 7 ultimate in HP dv5-1126em. My previous version was vista home which came with inbuilt.Windows 7 already installed all necessary drivers at the time of install the OS and I manually installed VGA only. But when I checked my device manager there is showing 5 unknown drivers. There are 3 system base driver and 2 unknown. I tried many ways like driver max, Everest....etc for search drivers but I can't do that. Can anyone tell me, how can it fix? Please give me some instruction.

Fix Drivers For W7 X64
I have a Minolta QMS laser printer (GDI) and I really like and I was able to use it with Windows Vista 32bit and also Windows 7 32bit. I changed to Windows 7 64 bit because I wanted to do Virtualization and added more memory to my PC so I can do this, everything I installed worked just fine except for my printer. The last drivers Minolta got out for this printer is for Windows XP but I was able to use until now with no problems at all, even with windows 7 32bit works great. Here is where my problem comes, I believe its possible to make the correct changes to the inf file for the driver to work with 64bit but I dont know about programing drivers, I tried and no luck with my lack of knowledge, so I am asking for help here for someone that knows this stuff, this driver package is very small (2.44mb) and I think it should be easy to fix. I contacted Minolta but because this is a faced-out printer they dont want to do anything about it. I really love this printer and I need to keep it..

Manufacturer VISTA Drivers To Fix Performance Issues
I am currently experiencing slow performance on a Windows 7 RC 7100 laptop. I have run RadarSync and all drivers are up to date, however when I check the device manager, the following have exclamation marks; - Mass Storage Controller - PCI Simple Communications Controller - Unknown Device I am considering installing the Manufacturers Drivers for VISTA via "Troubleshoot Compatibility" mode as opposed to the Windows Supplied drivers.

Pavilion Dv6700 Works With Drivers From Dv6000?

Setting Up A Home Media Network Using Media Center And Media Extenders
I am trying to setup a media network for my new home that's being built. What I want to accomplish is a network that can feed my 5 TVs live feeds or be able to record up to 4 or so TV shows at once. But I wanted it all to come from one centeralized location. I know that I can do this with Windows Home Server and Windows 7 Media Center and then I know that I need a media extender for each TV. Other than that what else do I need? Can I just have one cable box plugged into the Server and have that feed all the TVs or do I need one cable box for each TV and do I need a Tuner Card in the Server for each TV? How many TV Cards can Windows 7 support at one time? How many Media Extenders can support one TV Card? I want to store my movies and music and pictures in this same server that I'm using for the live TV and DVR so what specs on the server do you recommend?

Media Button Drivers For LG S1 Laptop
I am running Windows 7, ver. 7000, on a LG S1 Laptop. Everything has gone pretty well so far. But trying to get the drivers and software installed for the direct media buttons hasn't gone so well. I used the Vista drivers from LG, I had to run them with Vista compatibility. They seemed to run ok, but the buttons don't function any differently and I can't find the service anywhere except in the "programs and features" ie "add remove software" Anyone have any ideas or had a similar issue?

No Device Drivers In The Installation Media
I just downloaded the iso file from microsoft site, then popped it in the cd/dvd drive. When the installation was just about to start, I get this msg saying: "There's no device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK" Can anybody help me understand why these drivers are not included in the iso file I downloaded from MS? What should I do now?

NVIDIA 7100 Drivers - HD Media Center
Based on my experience, the drivers for nVIDIA on Windows 7 still need work. My HTPC has a motherboard with GeForce 7100 graphics built in. Since I am using it as a HD Windows Media based HTPC, it is plugged into the TV via HDMI. As discussed in this thread , installing Windows 7 RC using HDMI fails - the driver included on the disc is bad and will result in an endless loop. Even when the latest drivers (185) are installed, the system has noticeable "jerking" when watching HDTV content. This "jerking" (lag?) was resolved by installing the older Vista drivers (182), so it makes me think that the drivers aren't ready yet.

Bootmgr - How Would I Fix ?
well, i was on my windows 7 computer, and it needed a restart... so i i restarted it.. but it said something like failed to load bootmgr press ctrl+alt+del to restart so i did so, same error message.... so how would i fix this? am i going to have to re-install, and if not... how would i fix.... by the way, windows 7 is not loading.

Network Problems - Fix
I was about to blow my brains out looking for a solution to my networking problems when a co-worker of mine found a solution. When ever I tried to map a windows 7 drive from my XP rig and entered my user name and password it simply changed the user to %computername%user name and did nothing. Anyone else having this issue, give this a try. it worked for me instantly Forgive me for simplifying the instructions. Im sure there are those not familiar with the registry. Click "start" and type "regedit" enter When the registry editor is active, navigate to the following: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem] right click in the right pane and select new, 32bit D-word name it "LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy" double click it and change the value to "1" click ok, close the registry editor and reboot...hopefully your woes are gone!!

Internet Dropping, Need Reboot To Fix
I've upgraded my Dell Inspiron 1525 from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 rc1 64bit. I've installed all old Dell drivers from a guide I've read. Now, I'm having problems. I get disconnected from the internet, it says that it cannot connect to the local network. It happens 30+ mins while using the laptop. All I do now is reboot the computer.

Driver For LG TV (fix Refresh In Games)
I need a driver for an LG 32LG5700 LCD TV. Its easy enough to get Windows in the correct resolution, but if I load an older game (Civ 3 on Steam, for example), it switches the display to over 60Hz and the TV can't display it. Is there a driver, or a way to limit the refresh rate to 60Hz?

Today I installed some updates and right before they were over the screen got all big. I restarted now its like this always.. Are They Going To Fix The WDDM Driver Issue ?
As many of us "older" system users know, our dated video cards won't work without a proper WDDM. Is there any plans in Seattle (Microsoft)Â or within the OEM (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc), or even within the manufacturer themselves, (nVidia, Intel, ATI, etc) to provide a WDDM for our video cards? I know they won't be able to handle them the way it was meant. But my video card is DX 9.0 compatible, which means I should at least be able to play Solitaire, if I can't run Aero. I just want my hardware acceleration issue fixed, does anybody know about this?

call microsoft support and they got me the fix for the homegroup problem. On Main Computer, leave whatever homegroup you started. On Main Computer, Reboot On Main Computer, Go and start a new Homegroup On Main Computer, Write down temp password On Main Computer, Reboot Go to Second Computer and Leave what Group your on there (if your in no group, skip this step). On Second Computer disconnect from the Internet On Second Computer, connect back to your internet On Second computer, go to network and sharing center On Second Computer,Wait till you see joinable network On Second Computer, type in temp password There you go.

Cannot Fix Automatically - Freeze On Startup
Installed Windows 7 just fine, worked for a month. Did a restart and then it froze on startup. Did Start up recovery and got "cannot fix automatically". Tried System Restore, claims no restore points were created. Tried reinstalling, goes all the way to completing installation and then froze. Reinstalled Vista and it works fine. Bought new HDD and repeated steps no luck. 2GB RAM, 1TB HDD ,etc etc.

Sidebar Flash Player Fix
After getting Windows 7 x64 installed, I was having a problem getting the Pandora Gadget to work. It turns out this gadget uses Flash, which only comes in a 32 bit version. The Sidebar is x64, and can't access Flash. I came up with a quick and dirty way to load the 32 bit sidebar instead which allows flash to work! I know there are several gadgets out there that use flash so this should be a fix for all of them. Edit the following Registry Key: HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunSideBar Change the key to this: C:Program Files (x86)Windows Sidebarsidebar.exe /autoRun (The only addition is loading sidebar.exe from c:program files (x86) instead of c:program files) This should get you by until Adobe gets their act together!

After I restarted I than installed the CCC from the C:atiSupport9-6_agp-hotfix_vista32_dd_cccSetup.exe. (hotfixs are for AGP cards only) You can use the setup know beacuse it doesn't need to install your drivers And boom I hope it works for you, like it has for me. It took me close to a week of trail and error to get this answer.

Can I Fix The MBR On A Multiple Partitioned Drive
So I installed Windows 7 RC from the file directory from XP onto my other drive previously. I ran into problems the other day with XP and Windows 7 no longer shows up in the boot menu to select. What are my options here? I am presently downloading the Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK). BTW, I can't find the original file for Windows 7 RC. Does anyone remember the name of it?
