I have installed Windows 2003 on my Dell Studio1435 notebook. Internet and Media drivers are not available with me. Please give the siggestion how an get the drivers for the above specificatin.

When I try the automatic download (Download Now) option, I get an error message that the Guide cannot be downloaded.After looking at these message boards, I have tried turning off my firewall before downloading and tried adding the Media Center programs to the allowed programs in my firewall application, but I still get the same errors.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI think the problem is related to my graphics drivers. I persistently have issues with atikmpag.sys and atikmdag.sys. It has happened from the start and I finally am fed up with it.It can happen during web browsing. Playing video in media center will do it. My wife tried watching a video on imdb.com and it crashed[CODE]I've tried reseating graphics and memory. I uninstalled the graphics driver and entire catalyst suite and just reinstalled the driver as I've heard that can be a probl know enough about computers to feel too comfortable and do damage, but I haven't tried anything crazy yet.I don't know enough to be useful fixing them evidently.'m at my wits end and ready to either take it in to MicroCenter to have them try and fix it or just buy a new NON-ATI graphics card to see if that fixes it.

Also when I tried to open skydrive that wouldn't work either. I tried to open windows media player today and that wouldn't open either. I can use firefox that works ok and vlc player but anything to do with windows will not work. The only thing new i put on my laptop was zune for my new Samsung Omina 7 phone. However internet explorer was not working prior to this.

There is no issue with IDM, just an annoyaIDM is great, I use it all the time. But I don't want it to handle all of my downloads. Sometimes, it doesn't work properly with certain sites (the ones that make you wait a certain amount of time before you can download the file), and it's during those times that I really hate IDM.What I want changed is for IDM to only intercept streaming files, not files I could otherwise download anyway (like programs, etc). Is there a way to make IDM only take in streaming files?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7, ver. 7000, on a LG S1 Laptop.
Everything has gone pretty well so far.
But trying to get the drivers and software installed for the direct media buttons hasn't gone so well.
I used the Vista drivers from LG, I had to run them with Vista compatibility. They seemed to run ok, but the buttons don't function any differently and I can't find the service anywhere except in the "programs and features" ie "add remove software"
Anyone have any ideas or had a similar issue?
Windows 7 is asking me to load drivers through media like usb ,cd/dvd, floppy disks etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust signed up to share this with you all, since you helped me with 7 so much. Normaly I'm such a noob, but I guess I fixed the C-Media chipset problem. It's rather easy. It appears that the HT Omega Striker 7.1 (C-Media chipset) works perfectly with Windows 7 RC. So I downloaded the driver (here HT Omega - Driver Downloads) for my Club3D Theatron DD (also C-Media chipset).
After that I had the Xear3D working. Than I installed the drivers to my own soundcard. Somehow it didn't update the Xear3D program. After assigning the sounds to digital out in the control panel and in Xear3D, I have full working 5.1 out via toslink.
I have to install windows 7 on a new hard drive and it keeps asking me for media device drivers. I don't have them. What the next thing I can do!

I tried music and it won't play either. I did some little research and I keep coming across things about codecs, I don't know what codec I need for windows media 12. I also have divx player and it wont let out a sound either. I'm clueless from this point and also I have updated my drivers for just incase but no luck.

And I have Foobar (portable) as the default program for .mp3.Usually the icons on .mp4, .avi, .mp3 files get updated with the icons of the assigned media players.But on this PC it's not working. They're still the same icons as if WMP was the default player.Does it have to do with the Standard user account? (Because on other PCs I run from an Admin account and I don't have such problems.)

It always hogs up massive amount of CPU power and goes into (Not Responding) for a min while updating.I only add media files to the Windows Explorer Library so I can get indexed searches. I don't even use WMP to view files or anything. Just to burn some music CDs sometimes.I've tried deleting the files from the WMP library but the next time I open it up, it scans and updates all my files again! Is there a way to completely purge the WMP library and make it not update ever? I've unchecked every option that seems to make it scan and update but it still does it.Basically I want to UNLINK the Windows Explorer Library from the WMP Library.

View 0 Replies View Relatedi bought this computer a few years ago and recently installed a hd 6670 graphics card and an old 420w psu i had so i could play games.i noticed after installing the new graphics card that my internet was running incredibly slow, and it was taking minutes to load some web pages. i have recently been away for a week and i have just got back and it is still the same. it takes minutes to load a webpage, often it won't load at all and streaming video from Internet is impossible. i then went to device manager and uninstalled the drivers for the graphics card and without rebooting the internet is instantly back to normal speed. as soon as i reinstall the drivers it is slowed down again. i have catalyst control center disabled as well.at the moment, if i want to play games i have to install the drivers each time, and then uninstall them whenever i want to browse the internet.

For some reason it didn't install on my Packard bell computer. I have had similar problems before with other computers, though the sound was my issue and back then I used to have Everest to discover what was missing. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm in grave problem here. I just installed windows 7 x64 a few days back. And initially I installed the 32bit version of k-lite codec pack for my windows media player. The media center worked fine then. It was loading my ffdshow and ac3filter along as I checked it.But then yesterday I noticed that the same pop-up od recommended/express install of WMP came again. Initially I thought that it must be some bug or something, but then when my MKV and AVI files didn't work in WMC, I realized that somehow WMP x64 got triggered, and now it is using the x64 bit of WMP in WMC. And I just wanna revert back to 32-bit WMP in WMC.

This DVD player is an external player and I have no problem with playback on my Dual boot with Vista Home Premium.
