Aug 8, 2012My Dell Windows 7 now cannot print or add a new printer. When I try I receive a message" Windows can not add printer the local spooer service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine." Been on services and trying other things with out a printer.

Apr 16, 2011I just purchased an HP Pavilion p6732f (running Windows 7 64-bit).I installed my old printe r(Epson Stylus CX 4800) with the new drivers supplied from their website which are compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.The scanner works fine, but oddly enough, I cannot print anything, from any program! And the status monitor just hangs.I have tried numerous things and believe the reason is the port. The printer is connected directly by USB and the port settings are on LPT1 port. Normally, I would change the port setting to "USB Virtual Printer Port" but it is not available. Is there any way of fixing this issue? Any way of making that port setting available?

Sep 24, 2011I have an HP 2175 All-in-One printer and I've lost the installation cd. I followed the instructions as provided by the support pages directly from HP. Few things happened. First, most of the features of the printer were not working, such as one-touch scanning. If I'd select print landscape, the document would come out portrait. I tried uninstalling, and doing a fresh install, and I've been getting under the control panel device list multiple copies of the HP2175 printer (Copy 1... copy 2.... etc).
I'd like to know, how do I remove the drivers fully, and try a completely new install again, how do I get all the features to work, and how do I get rid of the extra copies of the device?

Nov 15, 2011I have a Dell Precision T5400 workstation that was recently upgraded to Windows 7 64. Since the upgrade, I'm unable to use my audio card. I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Creative several times. No matter what I do, the device won't become available and I get a "Code 39" message in properties for the device in the device manager.
Here's a list of things I've tried: I've uninstalled and swept out all creative drivers and re-installed. No luck. I've done the same and removed, rebooted, shut down, re-installed the card and installed the drivers. No luck. I've tried running the installers in different compatibility modes. No luck. I've check the registry entries for upper and lower bound entries in case this issue was similar to the occasional missing CD/DVD problem that's fixed by this registry hack. No luck. I've lowered available memory to 2 Gigs as greater than 4 Gigs has been reported as a problem for SB cards in the past. No luck. Dell support had nothing. Dell doesn't provide Windows 7 drivers for this card or for the onboard sound card, for that matter. There's plenty of talk in the threads about "Daniel K" drivers, but all the links are dead ends.
I've read through the Sound Blaster sticky thread and tried everything I could and some extra things to boot.
