Computer Crashed - Getting The Blue Screen And Nothing Else
Feb 26, 2012
Computer threw out a bunch of weird language and then said crash and shut down. Now it doesn't really boot or reboot. I have to pull the battery to get it to restart and I get the HP logo when I put the battery back in and it takes me to a Windows Errory Recovery screen with two options: Launch Repair or Launch normally. Neither one of them does anything. I just get the blue screen.
I've tried the f8 key and the f10 key and can't seem to get to any other screen. I put the restore disk into the CD rom drive and I don't think it's accessing it at all.
It is an HP Pavilion dv7-4087cl with an Intel Core i5-430M processor and its running Windows 7 Home Premium OA 64 bit.
My dad had been trying to install a usb modem for internet connection on my sony vaio laptop which is running on windows 7. For some reason every time after the installation was done and he clicked connect the system crashed and show a blue screen and showed something about writing a memory dump. In a few moments the system restarts but takes longer time than usual. He tried uninstalling and installing a couple of times and it always had the same result. I'm not worried about the fact that the modem did not work but the crashes worries me
I have beenrunning windows 7 on my computer , and everything has been going great for about a year! I installed uniblue registry cleaner , and it ran the scan, asked me to clear the problems out after it corrected them, then asked me to reboot! when I did, I got the screen asking if I wanted to reboot normally, in safe mode ect ect......it shows the starting windows screen, the logo appears, and then when it gets to the next screen it freezes, the num lock light is on, and I can move the mouse around, but that is it!
my computer start giving me blue screen error. It's a recurrent problem, but it happens only when I'm playing games, altough it seens to happen with all games, it happens more often when I'm playing World of Warcraft and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, since they're the ones I play most. When the system crashes, the blue screen shows no file names but the log when the PC resets shows that BCCode: 7f / BCP1: 0000000D, don't know what it means. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I ran out of ideas for solutions, tried an OS reset (I was on XP and formated it to install 7), reinstalled all my drivers and tried all kinds of forums, looking for a solution, but nothing happened.
I left my computer on overnight, and when I just returned to it I discovered that it had shut down, and when I started it up, I was informed that Windows had just recovered from an unexpected shut down. Though I guess I should mention that the other night, even though I was not doing anything on my computer, a fan was working really hard (loudly), so I just shut it the PC down. I'm thinking it could be overheating, but it is currently quite cold where I am, so it doesn't really make much sense. Here's the details of the error
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BlueScreen OS Version:6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
I have a pc since 2007 with the following characteristics:Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Box;Motherboard - Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi-APMem Ram- OCZ DDR2 4GB PC2-6400 Gold GX XTC 5-5-5-12Internal Harddrive - Seagate 500GB SATAII 16MBGraphics- Sapphire HD2900XT 512MBDVD/CD - LG DVD-RW GSA-H44N 18XTower - Thermaltake Soprano DX BlackPower Source - LC-Power 850W Arkangel V.2.2 140mmMonitor - Samsung 206BWSO - Windows 7 64bitsEarlier this year it started freezing when running new games and the fans made a lot of noise. After a while it started freezing all the time so I decided to clean it up. It had tons of dust that I removed and I even applied thermal paste MX3 to the processor. Everything went well for a few months but now the freezing has restarted. Basically, I turn it on and it freezes while doing small stuff like opening firefox or steam whithin a minutes.
Normally the screen goes black but the lights in the tower stay on and the fans keep working. I have to manually reboot and then it just works normally with no more freezings. This is a temperature scan that I made just before one of the freezes:Sometimes a blue screen appears and the following error is issued:Assinatura do problema:Nome do Evento de Problema: BlueScreenVerso do SO: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3ID de Regio: 2070Informaes adicionais sobre o problema:BCCode: 116BCP1: FFFFFA8003DF94E0BCP2: FFFFF88003A93408BCP3: 0000000000000000BCP4: 0000000000000002OS Version: 6_1_7601Service Pack: 1_0Product: 768_1I have all the lastest drivers installed.
I can not get my computer to start up. I have gone through the recovery start up, pressing F8 to get to the screen, after pressing system recovery, it just takes me to a blue screen and then back to the page that tells you windows failed to start up normally. I have tried safe mode, the same thing happens and then I tried last known good configuration. That led me back to a blue screen with nothing happening except the lights on the front of the computer blinking white several times, then orange back and forth. At one point it did go to a black screen with the lights on the front blinking, but it did that forever and nothing happened
I was using my laptop when all of a sudden the blue screen appeared and restarted automatically. And also additional info. My laptop's battery is broken for several years no so I used the adapter for power so I think that might have cause some problems with the way I used my laptop. I uploaded the files
It has happened now over 2 times in 3 months. Not so much but it's still quite annoying.. I couldn't read the whole report of the blue screen screen but it said something about memory clash or something.

my computer boots up and after log-in the welcome comes on, then my screen turns blue. i can move the cursor but nothing shows...it works fine in safe mode?
I've been scouring the internet and can't come up with anything. Its an older computer, probably about three or four years old, running windows 7.The Symptoms: Repeated BOSD, Very Slow Operating, Won't allow for a Windows Back-Up to be made, has trouble booting into Windows.A while back before everything started, I had been using it and noticed that it had been running very slowly. It would operate fine for a while, before just seizing up almost completely. That went on for quite a long while, possible four or five months. Then things got worse.A few days ago, I noticed that it said that it had a hard-drive malfunction upon start-up, so it wouldn't let me boot the machine. So, I created a windows recovery disk off of another computer and tried that. That allowed access to the Windows Log-in screen and once beyond that, windows would operate as usual. But some of the times not even the start-up disk will get you in the front door it seems. They've tried to create a windows back-up file on an old external drive we had around, but it said there wasn't enough room. So after purchasing a brand new external hard-drive, they instead got the message "could not complete", again, sadly I wasn't there to see if there was more to it than that.So this begs the question, what exactly is wrong here - and more so, can it be fixed?I don't mind spending some time on it, I don't. I just need to know what to do really. I'm not sure if it is a virus that has gotten in so deeply or possibly malware that has corrupted windows itself. It could be bad memory, a HDD malfunction. Possibly Software or Hardware issues. I'm not really sure here at all. I've tried what I know and that apparently hasn't been enough.
The past couple of days i've been experiencing unusual behaviour from my computer. For the past few days I've been having crashing problems. The crashes aren't all the same however; on a handful of occasions it's given the famous old 'blue screen of death' and on others my computer either just turns off, or the whole computer just crashes. I've noticed the crashes only occur when I turn the computer to 'full peformance' mode after a couple of minutes meaning I'm literally unable to leave power save mode for more than 3 minutes.
I use 'EPU-4 Engine' to switch my computer between 'power save' mode and 'full peformance' mode only using full peformance if I want to play games or install something.
I didn't think much of this at start, as i've never had these problems before 2 days ago. I figured it may have been a faulty driver, so I downloaded specific ones for hardware, but that didn't solve the problem. I then tried a system restore to restore back to a previous date presuming it may have been an update that went wrong, but nothing changed, I still got the crashes.
I run Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition, AMD Phenom II x4 964, ATI 5850 Graphics card, 4 GB's of Ram
My Windows 7 boot normal and after Windows Starting logo appear, blue screen appear quickly so much that I can't see what's message and restart. I tried repaid and fixmbr and fixboot, no way.
I keep getting a message on a bluescreen, often when the cpu comes out of sleep mode, that it is shutting down to avoid damage or something. I also often have trouble getting ctrl alt del to work. Recently, we removed several viruses, and hijackers from the computer, that made it so I couldn't even google search, and its only been doing it since then. As I write, malwarebytes said it was removing threats. I have scoured everywhere I could think of and removed almost all unnecessary programs, files and downloads. Could there stll be a virus? Could a previous virus have corrupted the comp irreversibly?
playing around with my new computer, i was trying to record a sound playing on Internet with the microphone using the sound recorder. after about 10 seconds, the whole system froze - i couldn't even move the mouse cursor and had to unplug the computer and re-boot. what's the problem and is there an easy fix? below is a screen shot of my system specs, if that's any help.
as the title says, I was just talking with some friends on skype and then the computer froze like when it's going to give you a BSOD but instead of that it just froze, so I turned it off and now the computer won't even show BIOS menu. RAMs are fine, they were tested by the retailers for 48 hours with memtest and tested by me for 24 hours (when the computer used to work). So to give you a clearly idea of what's happening, I press the power on button, there's a beep and the computer starts, right? my pc powers up but it never beeps, the CD/DVD reader works, the processor starts up, but it's just stuck there. I checked on the motherboard's user guide and it doesn't say anything about "not beeping"
I just got my first computer in place i installed win 7 on it and everything went smooth, but then i realized i had by misstake installed the 32bit version..so i checked the SSD, which is the only kind of storage drive i have right now, and for some reason the installation had made an partition called system drive or something on 100mb. the stupid thing is that it was nothing on it?? windows was still on C:? anyway , after many minutes of thinking i decided to just reinstall windows over the old one and so i did. it runned smooth and went perfect, i checked the preferences of my computer and as planned i now had the 64 bit version but 30Gb was lost on my SSD? i discovered that the old windows was still there, in the windows.old folder... i didnt think about much so i'd just pressed delete...
the crash: loud noise came from the computer and it shut off, now i cant get it to work!!!!!when i start it all the lights starts and the fans runs but nohting moreand how do i format the ssd so i can use it when i've fixed the computer!specs:Motherboard: MK Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H Socket 1155, Z68 CPU:Core i5 2500K Graphic: GK EVGA GeForce GTX 570 SC RAM:Corsair 8GB (KIT) DDR3 1600MHz/VENG. I am no expert when it comes to computers so please bear with me. My Acer Aspire laptop crashed on me. It uses Windows 7. Start up repair does not work. I have a set of Windows 7 disks, 32 bit and 64 bit. Not too sure which one I should have used so I tried both with the same results. I have tried to re-install Windows 7 again as well as repairing the Windows 7 which is already on my computer with the disks with no luck. When re-installing it gets stuck at 'Setup is starting'. It stays like that for hours. When I try the repair option it gets stuck at 'checking for operating system' or something to that effect, also for hours on end
My computer crashed today and I can't get it to boot up. I can hit ESC during startup and get the menu. I ran all the tests and everything passed. I am trying to create a Windows 7 disk so I can boot it from there since my computer won't start up. I'm not sure where I can download this.
I am writing this windows safe mode.Cannot get computer to boot in reg mode. Sat for 40 minutes, with message "please wait while windows configures"Am running windows 7, 64 bit home, Dell Inspiron 570 It started yesterday when it downloaded updates for Windows. After the restart, the computer screen looked strange and could not open any programs. Went to "start" and re-booted, same thing happened again. I again went to start, this time it came up with 2 errors. (wish I had wrote them down) but said something about windows cannot find such and such. (sorry) Anyway, clicked on the "X" and windows came up again, but nothing would open. Had to hard boot as the start button would not even work.Rebooted into safe mode and have tried to return to a previous restore point. Seems I don't have any. So can't do that. I did go go to the recent installed windows updates and deleted them. But will not let me change the settings as in: Don't install updates automatically. I don't know if it is trying to install those over and over again. I tried to get it to come up again with the errors, but no such luck, it just sits with the blue welcome screen, then the "please wait"
My computer crashed and I lost all my Sims data. I tried to reinstall with the original discs but when I got to the 20 digit code on the box, it said it was invalid (probably because it belonged to me). I had installed Sims 3, Expansion packs World Adventures, and Ambitions. I recently bought Late Night, but my computer crashed before I downloaded it. How can I reinstall these? Will any of the work I did on each one be restored, or will I need to start in the beginning of each one?
My computer just crashed due to the reason "IRQL less than or equal" or something along those lines, because it was only up for a second before my computer crashed. Minidump file is included in case anyone can help me. I think it might have to do with my ram, because ever since i bought it (around 2 months ago) i have crashed 4 times.
