View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep getting a message on a bluescreen, often when the cpu comes out of sleep mode, that it is shutting down to avoid damage or something. I also often have trouble getting ctrl alt del to work. Recently, we removed several viruses, and hijackers from the computer, that made it so I couldn't even google search, and its only been doing it since then. As I write, malwarebytes said it was removing threats. I have scoured everywhere I could think of and removed almost all unnecessary programs, files and downloads. Could there stll be a virus? Could a previous virus have corrupted the comp irreversibly?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have installed win7 home premium on my hp 6730s 3 days ago. since yesterday it started shutting down and restarting itself sometimes even before windows completes to load; also some times there is a glitch on the screen before restarting; i am not getting any blue screen i tried a lot of stuff like running only on battery, running from power supply only, cleaned for dust, checked all installed drivers, ran disk check from windows..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently started getting this problem where my pc [desktop] crashes and restarts for itself. then sometimes i get the following message
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3

i'm not sure if its the same everytime but this is what i got on the last occasion.
i taut that the problem was with the amd catalyst suit, 12.8-which i upgraded to when it released- because sometimes upon restarting i did not get any display signal from the video card on my f22 aoc monitor. i did uninstall this driver and installed an older version [11.8 i think] and got an ease up on the problem. no restarting as regular as before. only during games.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've been running windows 7 on my computer ever since i found out i need a higher bit os to run my movie editing programs. as i filled up my c drive and d drive with clips and photos and what not, my computer started doing weird things. the crashes are never consistent, sometimes the screen goes black, sometimes it freezes, sometimes i get a blue screen, and sometimes i can't even start the thing. i tried freeing up some space on my computer but no luck. now i can't even watch a Internet video without it crashing. so:
a) if i have no memory left on the computer, does this affect how it runs? when it was extremely full i wouldn't even be able to view pictures and stuff, but i have 2.5 gb left on c right now so i can view pictures but i can't even watch a Internet video or run 2 or 3 tabs at once
b) i downloaded my os off the internet, but it's never given me any problems. could this be buggy?
c) my old os is on the d drive and it takes up a lot of space, can i delete it to free up space? is it a good idea to?
d) do i need a ram upgrade? i really don't even know how much i have, it says 2 gb ddr2 memory if that means anything. at idle it runs at about 57%
I keep getting blue screen errors. I tried Defragging hard drive, updating drives, doing memory diagnostic But none of these worked.

My Girl recently got a Dell Inspiron N5040, when we first turned it on, after a few mins it randomly restarted, i thought maybe its just an update (had to install loads of windows updates) however, over the past week, its being doing it every time its been turned off for a few hours... however once it restarts and comes back on, it usually is fine, It's only when leaving it a long while then turning it back on, it does the same again, and today for the first time we got a blue screen of death, which i believe may lead to some answers, here is the report:

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to analyze my blue screen errors. I was told there was a way to look up the codes of them. I have had numerous blue screen errors with my computer. My friend built it for me, but he is not available to help me right now.My system is as follows: Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 bit. Intel i5-270K.Gigabyte motherboard (not sure how to find out the exact name).

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Windows is Window 7 64 bit that came pre-installed.I purchased this computer about 2 weeks ago November 2011 and I have never re-installed the OS.I have gotten this particular blue screen error ever since I started installing initial applications into the computer. I just removed Zone Alarm but I still want this application to run on this computer. I am not sure if it is Zone Alarm or another application. I am attaching the BSOD dump and system file collection files as well as the System Health Report.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has been going on for a couple weeks now, not sure what it is.I'm not very experienced with computers, but I did manage to run and do all the tasking prepared on the main thread to give the information needed.I keep blue-screening, at least twice a week during small minimal tasks such as AIM and firefox usage.[CODE]I recently got the computer from a friend, so I'm not sure on the actual specs myself but I do know it's Windows Ultimate 32-bit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the occasional blue screen of death before, so I reset to factory settings. It didn't help, and may have made the issue even worse, though I haven't used the computer much since I just got a laptop. I have windows 7 64 bit. I had gotten the haplii virus (which redirects my google searches to a different site, it later changed to link to a different site instead) and failed to remove that completely, so I am not sure if that could be causing it or no.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI originally had a Windows XP computer which I upgraded to Windows 7. My computer crashed yesterday and I got stuck with a reboot error where it would load through the Windows XP screen but get stuck on "Setup is restarting" blue screen and it just sits there. So I tried to just put Windows XP on the computer since I couldn't get anything to work. No Safe Mode, no Debugging nothing would work. Well I partially installed Windows XP on my D: drive and I am able to boot from the disk but C: drive says "System Reserved" and running from my D drive, all i have is a Recycling bin. I tried to setup a connection to the internet but it isn't recognizing anything ( since there is no connection wizard ). Point is I'm able to get into Windows, only it seems I have the files but nothing works.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen snooping around these forums forever, and have finally run into a problem that I couldn't find an answer to.
To start from the beginning:
I have a Dell desktop.A couple days ago I tried loading a game from my start menu, and it said something along the lines of "Can't load, folder doesn't exist". The game was in my D drive (where most of my games are installed), and when I went to check what was up my D drive wasn't in "My Computer". This is when I got my first uneasy feeling that something might be going down. I dismissed the issue as a "I'll figure it out later" and continued to surf the internet/play a game installed on my C drive.
my computer start giving me blue screen error. It's a recurrent problem, but it happens only when I'm playing games, altough it seens to happen with all games, it happens more often when I'm playing World of Warcraft and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, since they're the ones I play most. When the system crashes, the blue screen shows no file names but the log when the PC resets shows that BCCode: 7f / BCP1: 0000000D, don't know what it means. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I ran out of ideas for solutions, tried an OS reset (I was on XP and formated it to install 7), reinstalled all my drivers and tried all kinds of forums, looking for a solution, but nothing happened.
View 2 Replies View RelatedComputer threw out a bunch of weird language and then said crash and shut down. Now it doesn't really boot or reboot. I have to pull the battery to get it to restart and I get the HP logo when I put the battery back in and it takes me to a Windows Errory Recovery screen with two options: Launch Repair or Launch normally. Neither one of them does anything. I just get the blue screen.
I've tried the f8 key and the f10 key and can't seem to get to any other screen. I put the restore disk into the CD rom drive and I don't think it's accessing it at all.
It is an HP Pavilion dv7-4087cl with an Intel Core i5-430M processor and its running Windows 7 Home Premium OA 64 bit.
I left my computer on overnight, and when I just returned to it I discovered that it had shut down, and when I started it up, I was informed that Windows had just recovered from an unexpected shut down. Though I guess I should mention that the other night, even though I was not doing anything on my computer, a fan was working really hard (loudly), so I just shut it the PC down. I'm thinking it could be overheating, but it is currently quite cold where I am, so it doesn't really make much sense. Here's the details of the error

I have a pc since 2007 with the following characteristics:Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Box;Motherboard - Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi-APMem Ram- OCZ DDR2 4GB PC2-6400 Gold GX XTC 5-5-5-12Internal Harddrive - Seagate 500GB SATAII 16MBGraphics- Sapphire HD2900XT 512MBDVD/CD - LG DVD-RW GSA-H44N 18XTower - Thermaltake Soprano DX BlackPower Source - LC-Power 850W Arkangel V.2.2 140mmMonitor - Samsung 206BWSO - Windows 7 64bitsEarlier this year it started freezing when running new games and the fans made a lot of noise. After a while it started freezing all the time so I decided to clean it up. It had tons of dust that I removed and I even applied thermal paste MX3 to the processor. Everything went well for a few months but now the freezing has restarted. Basically, I turn it on and it freezes while doing small stuff like opening firefox or steam whithin a minutes.
Normally the screen goes black but the lights in the tower stay on and the fans keep working. I have to manually reboot and then it just works normally with no more freezings. This is a temperature scan that I made just before one of the freezes:Sometimes a blue screen appears and the following error is issued:Assinatura do problema:Nome do Evento de Problema: BlueScreenVerso do SO: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3ID de Regio: 2070Informaes adicionais sobre o problema:BCCode: 116BCP1: FFFFFA8003DF94E0BCP2: FFFFF88003A93408BCP3: 0000000000000000BCP4: 0000000000000002OS Version: 6_1_7601Service Pack: 1_0Product: 768_1I have all the lastest drivers installed.
I can not get my computer to start up. I have gone through the recovery start up, pressing F8 to get to the screen, after pressing system recovery, it just takes me to a blue screen and then back to the page that tells you windows failed to start up normally. I have tried safe mode, the same thing happens and then I tried last known good configuration. That led me back to a blue screen with nothing happening except the lights on the front of the computer blinking white several times, then orange back and forth. At one point it did go to a black screen with the lights on the front blinking, but it did that forever and nothing happened
