my computer showing blue screen and telling mini dump or dumping out of memory ?
ram-4gb ddr3

My computer will randomly decide to put up this Blue Screen and tell me it is dumping the physical memory. It says that I should make sure I did not download any new software and to make sure everything is updated. So, Ihad not put anything new on my computer recently so kind of ignored that part. I went through and updated the programs I was using while it crashed (mozilla firefox, internet explorer, itunes) and yet it still keeps crashing. It just crashed a few minutes ago while loading up a game.
I was trying to isolate what program is doing this but it seems any of them pretty much bring it on. Also, it seems Mozilla now freezes randomly when opening a new tab or trying to load a page for about 10-15 seconds and show a white screen saying (Not responding) on top. It usually fixes itself but this will sometimes lead to the blue screen. There is a mention of the BIOS memory and I should take off caching and shadowing. Not sure what to do and how would I access the BIOS memory if this is the next step?

any idea? please help me. Windows 7 x64bit

My computer locks up randomly and the screen turns black and unresponsive, at least once per day, forcing me to do a hard reset. There is no BSOD or Minidump created, although sometimes (maybe 75% of the time) there is a dump file created in the LiveKernelReports folder. The dump files in LiveKernelReports always point to atikmpag.sys. I tried uninstalling all video card drivers and using driver sweeper, and letting Windows use default graphics. I continued to get the same freezes, except no dump files were created at all in LiveKernelReports. I then reinstalled the ATI drivers, and the symptoms persist, now with dump files again pointing to the same atikmpag.sys.this only happens when the system is idle for a while. I never get freezes when actively using the system, but if I return to it after an hour or more, it's just a black screen and I must do a hard reset.I am running Win 7 professional 64-bit full version, 8 gb ram, 1gb ddr5 msi video card.Another strange symptom: After the hard reset, the computer has deleted all of my IE cookies. It also has forgotten the IE window size after these hard resets... very bizarre. In fact, if I make any changes to the desktop -- for example, by moving the icons or re-sorting them by name -- Windows doesn't remember this either. On reboot, it reverts to whatever I had on the desktop before making the changes. This does not happen on a normal restart/reboot. If I do not wait for it to crash, and instead I reboot normally, all of my settings/cookies/window sizes are preserved like you'd expect.
I've tried the following:
- ran memtest86, no errors after 9 passes
- ran seatools hard drive diagnostics, no errors found
- ran Hot CPU Tester 4, no errors found
- reinstalled/reseated graphics gard and memory sticks
- running with a single memory stick (same crashes occur with either memory stick)
- the windows memory and hard drive diagnostic tools, no errors found
- When running Driver Verifier, I get the same freezes, and still no minidump or bsod.
- Disabling all power saving options both in Windows and in the BIOS, like sleep mode, hibernate, etc.
- Updating all drivers that seemed out of date and upgrading bios to latest firmware.
Prime95 and furmark run without issue, and do not crash the system (presumably, because the system isn't idle when they are running). Idle temps (~30 degrees C) and temps under heavy load (about 60 degrees C) are well within the normal range. If I run in safe mode, it does not seem to occur, but I'm not positive because I've never stayed in safe mode for more than a day.
Today, My computer had a new problem. my computer had stopped and came back with blue-screen. It said memory dump failure. Computer halted and blue screen error popped up. It said the computer needs to be turned off to prevent further damage to the computer. Then its restarted automatically. And its fine now. But i want the reason for that error message.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a problem in booting my computer. It is Windows 7 64 bit laptop, from Dell. I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my computer separately. When I try to boot my computer, it runs into a blue screen. The blue screen disappears very quickly and then the computer will restart again. I guess the last line of the blue screen is something like physical memory dump.
I tried to boot my computer in safe mode, but it stops at CLASSPNS.SYS. I have also tried to use the startup repair, but in vain. I can't do system recovery because it doesn't have a recovery point. I used the Dell diagnosis tool and ran some tests. It seems that the diagnosis tool can't detect my hard drive. But it is a little bit strange to me because I can access files in my Windows 7 using Ubuntu.
Physical memory dump always come-up when i start my computer , i just bought it 1 month ago !it show this after it restart !

been awhile since i been here but im back sadly and worried...So ima explain best i can what i did that maybe caused the BSOD. First off my cpu is OC but barely and no voltage changes and has been that way for 3 or so months. By default it runs at 3.8Ghz and i just OC it to 4.0Ghz and its been running that way fine for months and its made to be OC way more so i highly doubt its that. 2nd. I do have dameon tools and i see alot of ppl say that can cause it but again, its been on pc 4 ever and never had no issues with it and it rarely gets used but it still does get used here and there.3rd. I installed some codecs yesterday to try to get sony vegas to read a video and i probably installed 3 different codecs and some were named the same and it was the coded for a h264 or something like that, i already uninstalled that.
4th. No major changes have been made to pc, no recent windows updates, program installs or nothing has been done. Only thing i did most recently yesterday was upgraded a widget for reading GPU and its called GPU meter.5th. Finally and im scared this might be the issue is i noticed on sony vegas ( video editing program ) that it likes to max out all my cores and i noticed the temps reached 90-94 on my cpu which really scared me but ive only used this program twice but i was thinking maybe it was damaging my cpu but not sure. The last thing i was doing when it BSOD was i had a video uploading to facebook and firefox was open and a little dialoge box telling me how far video was done and apparently it got finished and i went to get drink and came back and BSOD was up and the pc didnt auto restart like it did before, had to force shutdown and restart.
I have heard that some older operating systems had the ability to dump the system memory while still running as an alternative to restarting the computer. Someone I know told me that where he used to work, he had computers there that would literally stay on for years on end and never have to be restarted. I believe he said that the os he used was os/2 perhaps. Does anyone know if there is anyway to do this now on Windows 7, or Ubuntu 10.10? PS. I don't really need to use this in fact, I usually shut down my computer when I'm not using it. I just thought that this would be a way to speed up my computer a bit after using it for a while.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy W7 64 bit PC has BSOD'd twice in the last week. I am just learning this fascinating part of computers and am still very much in the dark, however I made sure that my OS was configured to create a dump file, and it was however there is nothing in the Minidump folder, as a matter of fact it doesnt exist. So much fro configuring the OS to create a dump file on a crash.I DL'd Bluescreenview and it showed nothing. The message at the bottom of the BSOD mentioned something about creating crash dump files but it seemed that nothing happened, there was no progress indicator, just a whole bunch of nothing. I left it for some time to see if the message or anything changed and it didnt. I restarted the PC and went hunting for the Minidump report, or any report for that matter.

I'm new to this community and not the most computer savvy person, but I've been having this error for a while and it's starting to bug me. We recently got a new computer but as I start to use it, I'm noticing a lot of crashes and blue screen. Of the errors I've noted, the major one seems to be the "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" blue screen. I'm currently running Windows 7 64-bit and I have about 16G of memory installed.I did some preliminary research and many topics suggested either pulling sticks out (which I do not know how to do), posting minidump file (attached), and running a memory test (I just ran it for 12+ hours and it still did not finish, but I need to use my computer).
View 5 Replies View RelatedHey guys, so I just built my new computer a week ago but recently I've been having lots and lots of blue screens. The most common blue screen is Memory_Management, I know because my computer just stays at the blue screen and doesn't shut off. I think thats a reason why im having driver blue screens and not being able to start my computer correctly, sometimes my computer can't find the appropriate Windows 7 files. I've right clicked manage on my computer and I don't seem to be missing any drivers. My DRAM voltage is on auto.
