Today, My computer had a new problem. my computer had stopped and came back with blue-screen. It said memory dump failure. Computer halted and blue screen error popped up. It said the computer needs to be turned off to prevent further damage to the computer. Then its restarted automatically. And its fine now. But i want the reason for that error message.
My computer will randomly decide to put up this Blue Screen and tell me it is dumping the physical memory. It says that I should make sure I did not download any new software and to make sure everything is updated. So, Ihad not put anything new on my computer recently so kind of ignored that part. I went through and updated the programs I was using while it crashed (mozilla firefox, internet explorer, itunes) and yet it still keeps crashing. It just crashed a few minutes ago while loading up a game.
I was trying to isolate what program is doing this but it seems any of them pretty much bring it on. Also, it seems Mozilla now freezes randomly when opening a new tab or trying to load a page for about 10-15 seconds and show a white screen saying (Not responding) on top. It usually fixes itself but this will sometimes lead to the blue screen. There is a mention of the BIOS memory and I should take off caching and shadowing. Not sure what to do and how would I access the BIOS memory if this is the next step?
I was randomly surfing the internet and a memory dump blue screen occurred. I have avast anti virus installed despite the error report saying i don't have one.Windows 7 is- 64 bit- the original installed OS- full retail version - Hardware is 6 months old- OS is 6 months old
i bought a computer 1 month ago and every time i start the com or surf the net for fews hours it will start to have blue screen and say physical memory dump .i followed the instrution above and do the zip file or my scan .
one day my computer crashed then it started chkdsk after the chkdsk, a program called "objectdock" got corrupted. So i deleted it somehow and now my computer gets BSOD everytime i reboot it?Is there any ways to save my comp. without using an complete restore?
My wireless mouse and keyboard are not connecting to my laptop, after just an hour before when I was using it they were working fine. I tried re-starting it, but a blue screen popped, saying that it was deleting physical memory for crash dump. My laptop won't even recognize my mouse or keyboard even when I plug in the USB to a different port, what do I do?
my computer gets a blue screen after an few minutes. it crashes faster if i open a programm. the message of the blue screen is: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
I have a problem in booting my computer. It is Windows 7 64 bit laptop, from Dell. I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my computer separately. When I try to boot my computer, it runs into a blue screen. The blue screen disappears very quickly and then the computer will restart again. I guess the last line of the blue screen is something like physical memory dump.
I tried to boot my computer in safe mode, but it stops at CLASSPNS.SYS. I have also tried to use the startup repair, but in vain. I can't do system recovery because it doesn't have a recovery point. I used the Dell diagnosis tool and ran some tests. It seems that the diagnosis tool can't detect my hard drive. But it is a little bit strange to me because I can access files in my Windows 7 using Ubuntu.
So i have had Windows 7 build 7100 on my laptop for a few months, i was at work and wanted to plug a tv to my vga side port. when i plugged it in, my computer got the blue screen then said physical memory dump
i shut off the computer and restarted it Windows does not boot up any more, it will go to where the Windows icons should fly in, but they never do. It will take me to the startup repair, i tried repairing it but it said it could not.
I tried the system restore from an earlier date but that would crash and say it failed.
i recently purchased a toshiba satellite l850d laptop for university and it's been fine for the most part. however, whenever i try to watch videos (usually on Internet), my laptop freezes, the screen goes black and a blue screen appears with a physical memory dump message at the bottom of it. this usually happens after watching 9 or 10 videos.
Tonight right before bed and about 30 seconds before I was going to hit the shut down command on my laptop (specs below) my computer did a BSOD with a failed physical memory dump and shut down. Now it won't load and the recovery won't attempt any more. Since the BSOD it has a click and single beep. I have a second hard drive in the computer but I can't even access that either. I can enter setup menu and multi boot menu. If I let it sit for 20 minutes to load it brings up a notice saying my windows 7 isn't genuine and loads a factory set up. It is genuine, came from toshiba and I havent had a problem till now.
Spec I know: Toshiba qosmio x500 Windows 7 professional Intel I-7 Nvidia video ( not positive on model) 2 hdd
I don't know what's wrong but I need my laptop, Can I recover? Is it a driver issue? Hard ware? What?
im a computer technician.yesterday i incountered "begginning dump of physical memory" during installation of windows 7 starter and i can't install it.But when i try to install windows xp and windows vista it work fine and it can be reformat using xp and vista but not windows 7
It has been a month or two that I bought a new Pc and now I suddenly get a blue screen (dump). I have also attached the .dmp file which I got in the minidump folder.
Attached is the dump file for the blue screen error I have been receiving on our new Windows 7 Machine.

My computer locks up randomly and the screen turns black and unresponsive, at least once per day, forcing me to do a hard reset. There is no BSOD or Minidump created, although sometimes (maybe 75% of the time) there is a dump file created in the LiveKernelReports folder. The dump files in LiveKernelReports always point to atikmpag.sys. I tried uninstalling all video card drivers and using driver sweeper, and letting Windows use default graphics. I continued to get the same freezes, except no dump files were created at all in LiveKernelReports. I then reinstalled the ATI drivers, and the symptoms persist, now with dump files again pointing to the same atikmpag.sys.this only happens when the system is idle for a while. I never get freezes when actively using the system, but if I return to it after an hour or more, it's just a black screen and I must do a hard reset.I am running Win 7 professional 64-bit full version, 8 gb ram, 1gb ddr5 msi video card.Another strange symptom: After the hard reset, the computer has deleted all of my IE cookies. It also has forgotten the IE window size after these hard resets... very bizarre. In fact, if I make any changes to the desktop -- for example, by moving the icons or re-sorting them by name -- Windows doesn't remember this either. On reboot, it reverts to whatever I had on the desktop before making the changes. This does not happen on a normal restart/reboot. If I do not wait for it to crash, and instead I reboot normally, all of my settings/cookies/window sizes are preserved like you'd expect.
I've tried the following:
- ran memtest86, no errors after 9 passes
- ran seatools hard drive diagnostics, no errors found
- ran Hot CPU Tester 4, no errors found
- reinstalled/reseated graphics gard and memory sticks
- running with a single memory stick (same crashes occur with either memory stick)
- the windows memory and hard drive diagnostic tools, no errors found
- When running Driver Verifier, I get the same freezes, and still no minidump or bsod.
- Disabling all power saving options both in Windows and in the BIOS, like sleep mode, hibernate, etc.
- Updating all drivers that seemed out of date and upgrading bios to latest firmware.
Prime95 and furmark run without issue, and do not crash the system (presumably, because the system isn't idle when they are running). Idle temps (~30 degrees C) and temps under heavy load (about 60 degrees C) are well within the normal range. If I run in safe mode, it does not seem to occur, but I'm not positive because I've never stayed in safe mode for more than a day.
I have RTL81918192SE Network adapter I made upgrade when i want to connect to wifi happen blue screen and restart bccode 076. Minidump i put here. Maybe i need just disable some drive?
I have 460 MB of system error memory dump files and 900 MB of temp files when I go to disk cleanup. I tried to delete the memory dump files but they remain. How, and maybe more importantly, SHOULD these be deleted? Will it harm anything?
I am trying to uninstall the trail version of avast internet security but after restarting my computer it is giving the error of memory dump with blue screen and icould not start the pc normally... I have also tried to uninstall it using uninstall utility but am facing the same problem continously.
been awhile since i been here but im back sadly and worried...So ima explain best i can what i did that maybe caused the BSOD. First off my cpu is OC but barely and no voltage changes and has been that way for 3 or so months. By default it runs at 3.8Ghz and i just OC it to 4.0Ghz and its been running that way fine for months and its made to be OC way more so i highly doubt its that. 2nd. I do have dameon tools and i see alot of ppl say that can cause it but again, its been on pc 4 ever and never had no issues with it and it rarely gets used but it still does get used here and there.3rd. I installed some codecs yesterday to try to get sony vegas to read a video and i probably installed 3 different codecs and some were named the same and it was the coded for a h264 or something like that, i already uninstalled that.
4th. No major changes have been made to pc, no recent windows updates, program installs or nothing has been done. Only thing i did most recently yesterday was upgraded a widget for reading GPU and its called GPU meter.5th. Finally and im scared this might be the issue is i noticed on sony vegas ( video editing program ) that it likes to max out all my cores and i noticed the temps reached 90-94 on my cpu which really scared me but ive only used this program twice but i was thinking maybe it was damaging my cpu but not sure. The last thing i was doing when it BSOD was i had a video uploading to facebook and firefox was open and a little dialoge box telling me how far video was done and apparently it got finished and i went to get drink and came back and BSOD was up and the pc didnt auto restart like it did before, had to force shutdown and restart.
I've recently built a new gaming computer and starting from fresh install with windows 7, I've got tons of "dumping physical memory" blue screens of death. I've tried updating all the drivers, I let windows 7 do all of the automatic updates, scan my pc with avg tuneup pro for errors, etc. None of these have worked it from crashing either while multitasking, playing battlefield 3, or the computer just sitting there.
