Can't Hide Shortcut Arrows In Ultimate Windows Tweaker?
Aug 16, 2012For some reason I can't hide the shortcut arrows in UWT anymore, and since I'm using Fences it looks a bit messy. What are some alternatives to the tweaker?

Shortcut Arrows Error?
Mar 24, 2012I ran some software 'Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover' to get rid of shortcut arrowsHowever, it stopped me being able to pin files/progs to the Windows 7 Home Premium taskbar.I removed the program because its more important to me that I can pin programs. However it has now caused a different problem ... with the shortcut iconsAlthough I can now pin programs, the original shortcut arrows on my icons have been replaced by large white rectangles as though the original arrow image cannot be found.I tried deleting the IsShortcut key in the registry and this fixes the look of the icons. However, it stops me pinning again.

Sep 19, 2012I have suddenly lost the ability to use my control+left or right arrows. Not just in word but on all places I type using the computer, even this message!I use this key constantly as I am a secretary and do lots of documents and letters and it is driving me nuts not being able to use this function.When I reboot I sometimes get the function back for a short while then it disappears again.I have just had a brand new computer put in but it happened sometimes on my old PC too so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I am wondering if I have accidentally hit a combination of keys to disable it or something.

I think it might matter that I do not hide extensions ['Hide extensions for known files' (Option in Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options... -> View)].

PS: And I don't aways even have the program installed in some MS office cases. One I needed to hide five times and that was the last one on the list.

The program is still running and stuck at 21% but after waiting 3 hours I shut power off and Vista was reinstated. Why can't I get past 21% Expanding Windows files? I want to use the upgrade because I have a ton of programs on my Vista and don't want to spend days reinstalling them.
