[IMAGES] Updating Image Preview For Shortcuts?

I have noticed that if I change the content of a picture,the preview of the original file does change,but not the preview of the shortcutFor example-I created a new PNG file in "New Folder",called Yellow.PNG - Yellow.PNG is a picture of a yellow SquareThen,I created a shortcut for Yellow.PNG in "New Folder 2"The preview for both is yellow square...Then I decided to open Yellow.PNG and change it from yellow square to red square,and saveThe preview image for Yellow.PNG is now red,but the preview image for "shortcut to Yellow.PNG" is still yellow

This just started recently. Most messages come through with images but certain ones, and it seems to be from the same senders, the just have a place marker...the little box with the red X. The pic below is from [URL] If I open the email in another email program, the images are there so it isn't on their side.
I have looked at the Trust Center and that is set correctly.

I have numerous folders each of which contain jpg images. I need to create shortcuts to all these images but I need the shortcut to be created in the same folder as the original image. How can I do this without selecting each file individually and creating the shortcut? I have tried using the search facility to identify all the jpgs but can only create shortcuts to the desktop this way.

I'm very keyboard oriented and I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to add a shortcut for "Preview", that is of course if there isn't already one (I've searched/Google but I came up empty) Here is an image that shows what I'd like to have a shortcut for. I'm quite surprised that their isn't already one. You get these options when you right click on an image (jpg etc)[CODE]

I've put up with it for awhile now just wondering if there's a work around for it.In XP when you opened pics from say a zip file they'd use the same window but in win 7 they open in a new window.

I'm looking for a simple image viewer program that will let me view images on my computer at once. I would like the program to be able to let me open up multiple images in seperate windows at once and to have unobtrusive menu bars. I have been out of the loop with Windows for a while and the last time I used Windows at home I used Quicktime Pictureviewer for viewing images.

I am running Windows 7 Professional. All the shortcuts (on desktop, on start menu & on taskbar) are showing a spider solitaire image; when clicked upon spider solitaire starts up. However, when I click on properties for a shortcut the correct target address shows (i.e. not the address for spider solitaire but for the intended target of the shortcut).

Using an image posting website and I've recently updated to windows 7. I used to be able to have my images come up as thumbnails without having to Right Click > View > Large Icons everytime. Also I used to have filmstrip option.here's where prob isUploaded with ImageShack.usevery time i go to upload a picture it comes up as a list.Now when I explore the folder via Desktop > b > Girls the images come up as thumbnails as i've set it for all folders already. How can I set it for when I'm in IE and uploading?

I do a great deal of video editing and special effects on my Windows 7 (home premium, 64bit) laptop. Many of the stock footage clips I use are .mov files and a lot of the sound files I use are .wav and .mp3. Unfortunately, these files do not preview (They don't play) in the preview pane in Windows Explorer. .mp4 videos do preview, but I have not tested anything else. All of the above mention files play just fine in the standalone WMP. Do I need to download extra codecs to make them work in the preview pane?

When I start Windows, Explorer always starts on it's own. The view downloads box pops up, showing this:

Now all of the icons on my desktop and the start menu are Explorer shortcuts although they are completely different programs.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit The windows system image backed up on my external hard drive (2TB WD USB3) is not showing while restoring the PC from an image.
The only option available is my hard drive partition on which i also had saved a system image. Though windows recommends External hard drive for backing up image when backing up the system.

I need a little help figuring this out. I made a backup image a while back on my network. Now that I want to re-image, I reboot as requested, wait for it to load, and Windows says it can't find my backup, "if it is on a network, close this window , type the network location."Putting in the network location does nothing, I'm just returned to the screen where it would list the backup image if it had found it, but there's nothing there.Thinking perhaps my NAS was the problem I copied the image onto a portable hard drive, but after rebooting into the restore program, Windows 7 doesn't find the USB drive.

With either of these two Products, if I create an Image will the Image "include" everything on the Partition?What I'm asking is, in the event I "delete" something from a Partition, and presuming the "deleted" item is not overwritten, will the "deleted" item be part of an Image created AND restorable by Windows or Acronis?

if i do a back up image of my C drive can i then create a partition on the that HDD and then create a second OS using that image of C drive?

[code] Windows 7.You know how you open a folder full of photos if the folder is set to one of the "Icon" sizes it will show a preview/thumbnail of the picture.I guess I recently had my head in my armpit and did something dumb. They have stopped displaying that way. There is a square outline with the logo of the image viewer I use - Faststone.Any ideas how to get the photo previews back?

i manage to turn off the aero peek but can find the way to get rid of this it takes life 5s to disappear after i moved my cursor out from the taskbar and case lag when i play windowed game.

I'd get mine, but, I don't have Windows Seven public beta - where is it.. (Remember they may upgrade drivers before 7 beta officially released.)
Note: This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing.
PS. I left the tags out because of errors - '7' too short must be 3 char. and 'seven' is too common a word! So, no 7 seven windows tags for you ...

I'm looking for a way to enlarge the thumbnail preview in Explorer. A person is scanning in PDF documents in large amounts and then using the thumbnail preview wants to be able to rename them from the default scanner assigned name. The current thumbnail size isn't big enough to see enough detail to rename the file without opening the document.
