Can't Preview Word Documents In The Preview Pane
Apr 30, 2012I'm using Word 2002 + Windows 7 and can't preview Word documents in the preview pane (although pdf's and webpages work fine). Is there anything I can do?

Oct 10, 2012I do a great deal of video editing and special effects on my Windows 7 (home premium, 64bit) laptop. Many of the stock footage clips I use are .mov files and a lot of the sound files I use are .wav and .mp3. Unfortunately, these files do not preview (They don't play) in the preview pane in Windows Explorer. .mp4 videos do preview, but I have not tested anything else. All of the above mention files play just fine in the standalone WMP. Do I need to download extra codecs to make them work in the preview pane?

Apr 28, 2012I watch videos from this site Poker Netcast | Live At The Bike | LABTTheir login is https.Ive been in IT for 15 years and even this has stumped me.When I go to login in IE9 starts looping from the login page to the https page and back to the original page and never ends. I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo

on some images that have a gradients or alot of color wit a gradient in it show as in the image below i would of done a screenshot but not sure if u guys would see it so i took it with camera its not clear but what u see in the image below is how it looks on my pc

Sounds & Musics Get Distorted When Scanning With AVG?
Feb 16, 2011I have an odd problem whenever I am listening to music, or whenever windows makes any sort of sound (like error alerts, log off sound etc)Any sound is played distorted and is completely beyond recognition. I noticed that this only happens when I have an AVG scan running and if I pause/continue the scan, the music will change almost instantly. This suddenly started about a week ago and I hadn't installed any new software or anything.

Jan 4, 2012Recently got a Toshiba L755 and have been having an issue with audio & video playback since I got it. I have updated the latest drivers for the Conexant HD Audio card and this made no difference. Basically during playback there is an intermitant distorted sound during mp3 playback, video playback and online streams.
I have tried different programs and the same thing happens, however, when I have a LAN cable plugged in there is no issue - it is only when im connected to the net via wireless. I have a netgear router which is working fine.

Sep 21, 2012a couple of weeks ago i bought and downloaded a copy of the "aos system optimizer" and after using it to 'optimize' my system it instead screwed it up big time... now my sound crackles and stutters when i play all media, online or offline, dvds, Internet, games, etc.technical support from them didn't solve my problem, needless to say i've asked for( and gotten) a refund from them, but i'm still stuck with this annoying problem..i've tried the usual methods, such as rolling back drivers, uninstalling all the audio drivers (nvidia and realtek) restarting and letting windows 7 reinstall them, all to no avail. my sound is somehow distorted (and not clear).
I have
Creative SB - Live! Value , PCI
I checked on creative website, and I installed the following
SBL_PC64DRVBETA_LB_2_03_0005.exe
LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe
Same thing!
I saw that windows update installed and updated 2-3 times the driver but still the same thing.
Also at one point the sound stops completely.
Then if I go to :
Sound - Playback - Speakers (of the creative device) - Properties - Custom
Then uncheck and check "Digital Output only" the sound is back for a bit.
For now Im working with an older C-Media 8738 card wich had good drivers on its website and works for now.
It has another problem - if I click on the icon of C-Media software in the system tray it freezes.
From this icon I can switch between 2 and 4 speakers etc etc
For now I do not click on this icon ...
Windows 7 Sound Garbled And Distorted?
Jul 9, 2011I'm having the most insane issue with sounds in Windows 7. All of a sudden out of the blue it seemed like my headphones started dropping half the channels. I can hear mostly high pitched sounds but bass and especially voices are very quiet, laggy and distorted.
What's killing me is I can't find out why. I've tried different headphones, but every pair does the same thing. I've used different audio jacks (reconfigured in registry) no difference. I thought the onboard Realtek card might have had it so I bought a new Creative sound card. Exactly the same thing.
I've installed and reinstalled new drivers, codecs and anything else I can think of. I even booted into my Vista partition and the sound there is screwed too now. Have I just killed some part of the motherboard somehow?

Aug 29, 2011I noticed about a month ago that my Hp windows 7 desktop pc kept trying to connect to the internet using explorer, I then scanned the pc using Norton and found nothing so performed a system restore and the problem stopped. Now when using the computer it sometimes becomes very slow and the mouse lags and if I am playing music at the time, the sound becomes slow and badly distorted high screeching sounds. I have tried system restore, hardware diagnostics and factory reset but the problem is still there. This problem(s) don`t occur all the time, just when I think everything is ok it starts again.

Apr 9, 2012i have an intel i5 2400 cpu, combined with 4gb ddr3 memory. mobo is dh67bl - revision 3. no gpu installed.power supply is via corsair vx450.problem i been facing:
1) bsod saying that a clock interrupt wasnt recd. [url]
2) bsod saying: page fault in non paging area. couldnt grab a screenshot for this.
3) display randomly goes off for a split second and reappears.. but the color of the panes go blue (i havent chosen blue. my setting is for clear pane.)[url] this error solves itself after random number of hours/mins
4) display vanishes for a split second and reappears, and a small balloon at the bottom right corner prompts that the display driver had stopped working.
5) system plain hangs/stops responding. randomly happens.. but more so while on Internet, or after hrs of it idling, i come back to the comp and try to scroll the content onscreen.sometime it revives from the stuck state as if nothing happened, sometimes i have to give it a cold boot.
6) while reading forums with blue bands.. the blue bands kinda form blurry bars which stretch till the end of the screen. i tried to grab a screenshot but the screenshots were clean. the bands moved as i dragged the image about.
7) also, my comp's display went off one day and within a second came back with a blue-ish hue. it restored itself but again has gone back to blue-ish.
other relevant information:
windows 7 x64
no other os resides/installed on system
full retail version
os was installed in july.
