Recently got a Toshiba L755 and have been having an issue with audio & video playback since I got it. I have updated the latest drivers for the Conexant HD Audio card and this made no difference. Basically during playback there is an intermitant distorted sound during mp3 playback, video playback and online streams.
I have tried different programs and the same thing happens, however, when I have a LAN cable plugged in there is no issue - it is only when im connected to the net via wireless. I have a netgear router which is working fine.
a couple of weeks ago i bought and downloaded a copy of the "aos system optimizer" and after using it to 'optimize' my system it instead screwed it up big time... now my sound crackles and stutters when i play all media, online or offline, dvds, Internet, games, etc.technical support from them didn't solve my problem, needless to say i've asked for( and gotten) a refund from them, but i'm still stuck with this annoying problem..i've tried the usual methods, such as rolling back drivers, uninstalling all the audio drivers (nvidia and realtek) restarting and letting windows 7 reinstall them, all to no avail. [code]
I'm having the most insane issue with sounds in Windows 7. All of a sudden out of the blue it seemed like my headphones started dropping half the channels. I can hear mostly high pitched sounds but bass and especially voices are very quiet, laggy and distorted.
What's killing me is I can't find out why. I've tried different headphones, but every pair does the same thing. I've used different audio jacks (reconfigured in registry) no difference. I thought the onboard Realtek card might have had it so I bought a new Creative sound card. Exactly the same thing.
I've installed and reinstalled new drivers, codecs and anything else I can think of. I even booted into my Vista partition and the sound there is screwed too now. Have I just killed some part of the motherboard somehow?
How do i fix a laptop LCD screen with distorted colors like the screen has a mix of red dots on desktop, it happens randomly last time now its persistent.
I have a query regarding my Toshiba Satellite A500
OS: Windows 7 premium Processor: Intel core i5 Ram: 6 G
Recently whenever I try to play a music/movie file I will often get distorted sounds. Sometimes the files play better and at other times it seems like the ram breaks down . Also I noticed that the movie files seem to 'lag' whenever the sound got distorted. Initally I thought that the speakers were at fault so I plugged in some earphones but I still heard the same distorted sounds. This problem also extends to when I am playing games and generally whenever a sound needs to be played.
Furthermore i noticed that when i turn off the internet connection the sound is perfect
I have virus/spyware scanned my pc, defragged and even gone as far as to format and reinstall everything, but the problem still exists.

I have an odd problem whenever I am listening to music, or whenever windows makes any sort of sound (like error alerts, log off sound etc)Any sound is played distorted and is completely beyond recognition. I noticed that this only happens when I have an AVG scan running and if I pause/continue the scan, the music will change almost instantly. This suddenly started about a week ago and I hadn't installed any new software or anything.
I have a sound issue on an acer aspire 5741 the sound drivers are the realtek6.0.1.6602 high def audio driver and also the intel display audio high def audio buswhen I play sound through either the speakers or the headphones jack the sound is distorted like an effect has been added when I test the speakers through the testing it sounds clear and perfect I have removed third party audio editing software such as audacity software and audio box
Week ago I installed (clean installation) Win 7 Ultimate x64 and I don't have sound. Volume bar is moving and I have installed newest Realtek HD drivers, but it's still not working. In my device manager I have two unknown devices, so it can be about them. I really need sound, I know, that people with Asus solved that problem with installing drivers form VIA, but I don't think they match my notebook also..
I have a Toshiba satellite x200 running on windows 7 64 bit. Everything works great except for the sub-woofer. The sound from the other speakers are working fine but there is nothing coming form the sub-woofer and the bass is greatly reduced. i have been searching for a couple of hours, installed all the latest drivers and nothing has worked yet.
I have a Toshiba satellite L655-S5150 and i have all the cables that the guys at best buy told me to get. I hooked them up but i still cant hear any sound. I had to hook a cable up from my headphone port to the back of the tv but still no sound.
I noticed about a month ago that my Hp windows 7 desktop pc kept trying to connect to the internet using explorer, I then scanned the pc using Norton and found nothing so performed a system restore and the problem stopped. Now when using the computer it sometimes becomes very slow and the mouse lags and if I am playing music at the time, the sound becomes slow and badly distorted high screeching sounds. I have tried system restore, hardware diagnostics and factory reset but the problem is still there. This problem(s) don`t occur all the time, just when I think everything is ok it starts again.
Yesterday I installed a new external hard drive - following the installation - my sound no longer played through my television (video is fine, HDMI connection) and sound now comes ONLY through the laptop speakers. The option for HDMI Audio doesn't appear in the 'sound' menus. I have 'checked' "shoe disabled" and "show disconnected" in those menus. [code] I use my HD TV as my primary monitor for gaming, so having sound through laptop speakers and not TV is quite annoying.Perhaps my only solution is another sound card?
My wife HP Pavilion DV6175ea laptop running windows 7 ultimate 32 bits was fine with the sound until a month ago. Note that upgraded from vista since the windows 7 launch. From that date till now it as no sound from the speakers but it is ok from the headphones. Tried different audio drivers but no results. Tried to insert and remove headphonde jack several times with no results.
I have hp dv1738od and have upgraded to Windows 7, previously Windows XP. Everything seem to be working ok except, for the sound. Window 7 automatically installed the driver, and said the sound card was working properly. But there was no sound through speaker.
I removed the driver and reinstall the driver that I got from HP website that work for Window Vista. Installation went through with no problem and Device manager indicated no isssue on sound driver. However there was still no sound coming out from the speaker, only through headphone jack.
I read tons of forums, and some has suggested that it may be the jack connection. I tried plugging in and out numerous time, and that did not solve the issue. Sound could be heard for like a sec, when headphone was being plugged out but it goes away quickly. To determine if it was hardware or software issue, i reinstalled Window XP and there was sound through speaker. So for sure it is not the speaker issue.
When I use vlc media player to play mp3 files on slow speed the sound cuts out . It is a toshiba netbook and windows 7 starter operating system. What can be the problem.I really need the slow play to listen to language course
