View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I accidentally deleted my folder on the desktop of windows-7. The files are not there in the Recycle Bin. There are some .pdf files and .jpg files in the folder which is too important for me. I just copied the folder with files from external source. Now, I don't have that external source from where I can recover or get my files. Which software will work to recover the folder. I tried some recovery software which works for the files. I am not able to find any files. It shows me recover the files which are deleted before a week. But, i am unable to find the files which i deleted today (Shift+Del).

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently got a Toshiba L755 and have been having an issue with audio & video playback since I got it. I have updated the latest drivers for the Conexant HD Audio card and this made no difference. Basically during playback there is an intermitant distorted sound during mp3 playback, video playback and online streams.
I have tried different programs and the same thing happens, however, when I have a LAN cable plugged in there is no issue - it is only when im connected to the net via wireless. I have a netgear router which is working fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a query regarding my Toshiba Satellite A500
OS: Windows 7 premium
Processor: Intel core i5
Ram: 6 G
Recently whenever I try to play a music/movie file I will often get distorted sounds. Sometimes the files play better and at other times it seems like the ram breaks down . Also I noticed that the movie files seem to 'lag' whenever the sound got distorted. Initally I thought that the speakers were at fault so I plugged in some earphones but I still heard the same distorted sounds. This problem also extends to when I am playing games and generally whenever a sound needs to be played.
Furthermore i noticed that when i turn off the internet connection the sound is perfect
I have virus/spyware scanned my pc, defragged and even gone as far as to format and reinstall everything, but the problem still exists.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI deleted my recovery partition before realising it was the recovery partition. That 11.26GB unallocated was the recovery partition.I was installing Ubuntu as a dual boot, and wanted to install it on its own partition. But I already had 4 primary partitions (the 1.46GB bootable recovery partition, C:, E: and the 11.26GB partition with the recovery files). So i shrunk C:,deleted the 11.26GB partiton and created the new primary partition. I later discovered it had the recovery files.Ubuntu installation needed some other partitions and it must've converted E: to a logical drive.I have installed the MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition v7.5 The results of a full quick scan: Double clicking the HHDRECOVERY partition (unallocated space) shows the recovery files: However, doing a full scan of the unallocated space also shows a small partition labeled "Boot": Double clicking that drive shows the following:However, that folder does not appear to contain any files. There was a [+] to the left of the folder, but clicking it just made it disappear since there was nothing to show. I'm not sure if I can just ignore this tiny section or not.
I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how I should proceed. I have not ever attempted partition recovery or used this program before and feel like I only have one shot at this and don't want to screw it up, if it is even possible. Also, yes I did create recovery discs, I think I've done it twice, but I'm not sure where they are. I've had a good search but haven't found them. Although I've other places yet to search but so far not the opportunity. I know using these discs, if I find them, will reinstall recovery partitions. My laptop is a Qosmio F60 running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.
While attempting to download Btjunkie, I mistakenly downloaded a program called videograb, which is not what was stated on the website. Now I am unable to delete it. It has made unrequested changes to my computer. The instructions said to try this deletion in safe mode. When I restart the computer holding F8, as per the Windows instructions, I get what appears to be a list of system info, followed by 'press F10 to enter setup'. This starts os as usual. What happened to safe mode? I run Norton virus scan frequently, and have run Ccleaner to clean registry; this program was highly recommended by several people. I am running Win 7 os.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWeek ago I installed (clean installation) Win 7 Ultimate x64 and I don't have sound. Volume bar is moving and I have installed newest Realtek HD drivers, but it's still not working. In my device manager I have two unknown devices, so it can be about them. I really need sound, I know, that people with Asus solved that problem with installing drivers form VIA, but I don't think they match my notebook also..

View 3 Replies View Relateds, I have an Asus laptop. I had windows 7 installed on it twice, and my brother decided he "didnt need one of them" so he deleted the original install. He literally deleted all the original system files and apparently the drivers for the hardware as well. My disc drive no longer works. When I try to load windows 7 from a USB stick, it will go through the entire process, and then it will restart and say it doesn't work. So basically, I'm doomed? 64bit, as well as linux ubuntu 11.10 None of these will boot.I've tried installing it into the hard drive, as well as just booting from the USB stick I have, and no luck. And I'm not doing anything wrong that i can see, I've installed OS's from USB and discs tons of times.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I installed a new external hard drive - following the installation - my sound no longer played through my television (video is fine, HDMI connection) and sound now comes ONLY through the laptop speakers. The option for HDMI Audio doesn't appear in the 'sound' menus. I have 'checked' "shoe disabled" and "show disconnected" in those menus. [code] I use my HD TV as my primary monitor for gaming, so having sound through laptop speakers and not TV is quite annoying.Perhaps my only solution is another sound card?
