View 6 Replies View RelatedMy toshiba laptop won't start up, it gets so far then goes to a blank screen with a small white line on the top left... It sounds like its trying to start up. Is it the battery? I took the charger out of the laptop and within 10 mins it was showing orange...Then at times it reaches till the boot up screen and switches off, when I take the battery out I see the power light on but when I try and start it up it won't start.

How can I do this without selecting each file individually and creating the shortcut? I used to be able to have my images come up as thumbnails without having to Right Click > View > Large Icons everytime. Also I used to have filmstrip option.here's where prob isUploaded with ImageShack.usevery time i go to upload a picture it comes up as a list.Now when I explore the folder via Desktop > b > Girls the images come up as thumbnails as i've set it for all folders already. I have been using Thunderbird for my e-mail account. Somehow, Thunderbird was updated to 10.0. Now my e-mail texts are so small that I can barely read them. I downloaded an application that allowed me to increase the size of the fonts in the listing. However, the messages are still small. I tried setting the options to a larger font but that did not work. Two questions: Is there some way to increase the size of the text in both the email list and the messages. Two, can I just remove the new version and download an earlier version of Thunderbird. I don't know what version I was using, but I was perfectly satisfied with it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed Win 7RC 32 onto a 160 GB hard disk which I partitioned. I allocated about 25 GB to C: system, and formatted the rest on to a D: drive for data. I've found that this may have been a mistake, as getting program installations to default over to D: are problematic (and not recommended by Microsoft, as per some previous threads I've read here).
And so I am running out of C space, and have several programs "manually" installed over to D. Quite frankly this is a pain, and I am about ready to throw in the towel and just try to extend the C drive. But maybe there is a way to avoid?
My question is this: what's my best approach to correct all this? Specifically, I'd like (if it is possible) for all my libraries/directories to default to D: so that I can readily reinstall Windows 7 (or downgrade) the C: System drive should it become necessary. This was my original goal and hope. I was able to have this with XP, although that was some time ago and I forgot the steps.
Anyone have an good suggestions for me, or should I just extend C: and give up this idea?

Problem: Internet Explorer 9 and also Firefox 5 do not load web images. Strangely though, Google Chrome seems to work. Attached you will find some screen captures. I think both were done before the browsers were updated. So far, I've updated the browsers to the newest version, and updated java to 6.26.

I have been trying to make my USB drive bootable with this ISO with several programs for quite awhilenow. method that i can use to make this NON iso image bootable? Or atleast figure out what kinda of boot file its using (such as linux, windows, etc) so i can configure the best program i've found so far? Its called YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator. It has the ability to be able to boot several types of ISO images ranging from Linux Ubuntu, Windows, Hirens Boot CD, to HP Automatic Firmware update, even Acronis! and more.plus its free! how to figure out which type of boot to choose by browsing contents after mounting the image and then configure this program with the proper settings. I did find something that said Windows, but its a folder. Not only that but as I've said I've tried several different USB to DVD tools, all of them windows and none of them worked.

However, when I plug in my 17" dell flatpanel, it says "not supported" across the screen. Is my GPU too advanced for me to use a small monitor? I have tried changing my resolution much lower, then turning the pc off, then plugging in the 17", still not supported. Is there something I have to do in bios?
