As of today, out of nowhere at random times, an image of a small flag will pop up on my computer, always as a different file name. Here is a photo:I checked the properties, and it came up in the Temp folder. I delete them, but it keeps coming back with a different file name...Not sure if its a related issue or not, but as of today there have been a lot of "mevio" related web links on my history that I have not been on.
I am painstakingly trying to transfer some files by a flash memeory stick.Asked where I want them to be sent, I inadvertently pressed 'Picasa'. Now all I get is a small black screen with a message saying the image cannot be accepted. (Cannot remember exact phrasing).
I was fooling around and added a language to my keyboard. Now when I type in search bars, and even as I input text now, The cursor (blinking line) looks like it has a little triangle on the top right of it. I know this must be easy to fix, and I have since removed the second language, but that did not make a difference.
Again, all I have done is added and removed a second language and now the problem persists.!
I am running Windows 7 currently and haven't had any problems up to this point. However, over the last few days, I have been getting a yellow flag over my network connection stating, "No internet access" although it says connected.
the flag disappears particularly if explorer restarts .i have it set to show icons and notifications ,the funny thing is it does the same on the laptop(currently using desktop)occasionally i can get it back by opening Godmode folder but this is a nuisance and not always successful. on the laptop last night i performed a system restore to a point when it was ok ,it didnt work also ran sfc/scannow ,the flag came back but on reboot it was gone again.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit The windows system image backed up on my external hard drive (2TB WD USB3) is not showing while restoring the PC from an image.
The only option available is my hard drive partition on which i also had saved a system image. Though windows recommends External hard drive for backing up image when backing up the system.
lately while watching movies on my laptop the taskbar keeps randomly popping up at the bottom and then disappearing after a couple of minutes, this has only just started happening and it gets incredibly annoying when watching a film when attached to a separate monitor. its happening when watching videos on Internet,4od,bbc iplayer etc, anything fullscreen. its not just browser vidoes either, while watching dvds through vlc or wmp it is happening.
I don't know what I did but recently, my log-on screen with my picture on it pops up all the time. It is in a locked state (dont know how that happened either) and has a "Switch User" tab beneath it. It pops up when I am playing an online game which is very irritating. I am the only one who uses this computer so I have my login marked as "Administrator".
so the problem is this thing keeps popping up on taskbar and causing my games to minimize and i cant keep on playing whan the game minimizes every 2-3 minutes.
Almost everyday when I get on my computer a windows box comes up and says that the antivirus hasn't passed their security or something and it says continue with installation anyways or stop installation. It pops up at least five times after you click on your selection, then eventually the AVG antivirus box will come up and say I need to restart.
I am experiencing a strange problem with my Windows 7 for last 2-3 weeks. When I use any application, suddenly Help Windows for application will pop up and it will not go away. If I try to close it, it opens again. This problem is spread across applications. Help Windows come up for SQL server, Microsoft Word and IE. Sometimes Help Windows won't let me do anything and I have to restart. It was only annoying till now but this problem seems to be spreading.I have checked F1 key and it is not stuck. Problem seems to be happening since I installed SQL server 2008 R2 around a month ago. I have Lenovo G450 with Windows 7 ( 64 bit ) installed.
I was having problems with my computer running slowly after downloading MVPS Hosts and kept cleaning out the DNS client, etc.I rest back to MS hosts and DNS and did a fix it for slowness and now I keep getting popups for my HP printer/scanner program and even with cancel they keep popping up.I took some screen shots - but will only upload one as says others are too large - so I cut and pasted most of the messages onto the same paint.

One last thing: one of the paintshops whose work is featured in this gallery did Dream Machine 2011--can you guess which one?.
I run a Windows 7 64 bit, 6GB Ram, 1 TB, 2GB nvidia card system, that I recently did a factory restore on. It has worked great for the past 2 months since I did so. Until yesterday. All of a sudden, my mouse stops working. It is a wired laser mouse, and the laser wasn't on. I changed it's usb port, and it would try to install it again, and fail. I have no idea why. So, I use my keyboard to restart my computer. The restart takes forever. It took about 6 minutes to get to the windows screen. Still, my mouse doesn't work. But also, now, I have a problem where programs seem to run fine, but if I tab between windows, they maximize/minimize to the tray very slowly. I am not noticing a decrease in performance per say in the programs. (Just played some Guild Wars 2, while running the McAfee stinger, and google Chrome with 2 tabs, with no problem, getting about 50-80 fps while in combat) I looked at my task manager, which showed nothing out of the ordinary for stuff running (AVG antivirus, Chrome, Explorer, as the big ones).I am using AVG antivirus free, which is up to date, and have never had a virus in 10+ years of using it. Scan showed nothing either. All updates from Windows Update are set. I also use msconfig to disable all programs from starting up except AVG.
I got microsoft security essentials installed on my pc as well as malwaire antimalwaire. when ever i do a scan with m s e on safe or on normal mode,it keeps telling me i have trojan win32 alureon, program win 32Coin Miner, trojan win 64/Sirefef J, trojan win64 sirefef B, and trojan win64 sirefef F.it tells me to restart my pc to remove it. when i do it, this keeps on popping up that i still have it.alot of times after i reset after m s e found those things. a startup repair is checking your system pops up and it takes ten minutes till windows goes back to normal. it also says if problems are found, start up repair will remove programs and fix them automatically. i have tried reinstalling m s e but it keeps on saying the same thing.
I need a little help figuring this out. I made a backup image a while back on my network. Now that I want to re-image, I reboot as requested, wait for it to load, and Windows says it can't find my backup, "if it is on a network, close this window , type the network location."Putting in the network location does nothing, I'm just returned to the screen where it would list the backup image if it had found it, but there's nothing there.Thinking perhaps my NAS was the problem I copied the image onto a portable hard drive, but after rebooting into the restore program, Windows 7 doesn't find the USB drive.
With either of these two Products, if I create an Image will the Image "include" everything on the Partition? What I'm asking is, in the event I "delete" something from a Partition, and presuming the "deleted" item is not overwritten, will the "deleted" item be part of an Image created AND restorable by Windows or Acronis?
my mouse loading animation (the blue circle) keeps randomly appearing at 30 second intervals for no reason. Is there any way to stop this or disable the animation? Its rather annoying when im gaming and it randomly appears.
I have recently built a new computer not so long ago. But starting today a Message of my "USB Device being unrecognizable" kept popping up.It is always my Razer DeathAdder mouse that dies in the process. I checked the Device Manager and under "Razer Device" It has the "Virtual HID Minidriver" with the computer and question mark icon at the bottom right of the computer icon. Does that mean it's the problem? This is the image of the message:
I ran AVG and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but nothing showed upHere is my Malware log:Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.50.1.1100 [URL] version: 6210Windows 6.1.7600Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.163853/29/2011 11:57:42 PMmbam-log-2011-03-29 (23-57-42).txtScan type: Full scan (C:\|)Objects scanned: 278550Time elapsed: 14 minute(s), 47 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)A few has suggested to turn off the computer and disconnect all power for 30 mins and turning it back on. I tried that and it didn't workI also uninstalled all the USB hubs and controllers under the Universal Serial Bus controllers, and rebooting the computer to reinstall it, but that also didn't work.I went to the motherboard website and Also downloaded the latest USB drivers, didn't work either. The problem would always show up as an "Unknown device" when I click on the error message, Even when I look into the "device and printer" window the device would pop up as "unknown" then disappear, even though all my devices would be working properly. If I make slight changes to the mouse, like adding advance functions for my extra buttons on the mouse, the mouse will die and not work until I unplug and plug it back in. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 BitAMD 6 Core black editionMotherboard version: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard?
Im currently using windows 7 home premium 64bit. Every now and then when im gaming or using the internet, this backup and restore thing keeps popping up. When i close it or minimise it, it comes back again and again. I tried many methods to fix it like reformatting and scanning my computer for viruses but to valid.
Great forum you have here. I just recently did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a computer I use for recording digital audio. For some reason, the Windows Easy Transfer dialog box keeps popping up, even though I'm not doing anything to initiate it. Any ideas as to how I can prevent this or disable it? I did a forum search before posting, and while I found a lot of threads about Windows Easy Transfer, I couldn't find any related to this specific issue. I'll be happy to provide additional details/technical info if requested.
When I install something and it asks whether I will allow such and such a program to make changes/install, it does not pop up with the window but is running as I'll eventually notice it in the task bar. How can I make it so it actually pops up and gets my attention..?
I'm just doing my usual thing today on my laptop and suddenly all these warnings started popping up from AVG (my AV) They keep asking me whether or not to let this EXE (see title) from having access to the internet. I let it but it still pops up. It's located in the Windows folder on the main hard-drive, but if I search "iqagoa.exe" in Google there's only TWO results, neither of which are related at all. What is it? Is it a virus? Can you see it in your Windows folder. If it makes any difference, it mainly popped up when I was using Photoshop. And yesterday I switched to MSE AV but then switched back to AVG as it was really slowing down my system...
Whenever I start up my PC I am able to use all of my programs without incident, however when I open any web browser and start typing or following links my monitor goes blank. Then when I input anything the lockout/switch user screen pops up. I enter the password and everything resumes, but then I only get about 2 seconds to browse before the same screen pops up. This will happen over and over again and it's quite frustrating. I have scanned my computer with Malwarebytes and Spybot in normal and safe modes and neither found anything so I am usure what could be causing this.
While playing Battlefield 3, often I get the color management popping up, asking me about is your computer running slow etc., keep this settings or change. Even when I choose the option to leave it and don't bother me anymore its comes back a few times. Is there a way to disable this?
I have the icon pinned to my taskbar, and normally the way I use it is I click on the icon in the taskbar when I want the osk to pop up so that I can use it. When I'm finished with it, I click on the minimize button and it returns to its spot in the status bar and stays there until I click on it again. Now, *normally* when I pass my mouse pointer over the icon, just a thumbnail of the osk will appear. But lately when my mouse pointer simply passes over the icon, the osk will pop up and appear on my screen in full size, and I need to minimize it to put it back onto the taskbar. This is very inconvenient because every time I bring my mouse pointer down to the status bar to choose an icon, I inadvertently pass over the osk icon with my mouse pointer which causes it to pop up.
when I open a program from the desktop other icons related to the program pop up on the desktop, example: I open dvdsanta from desktop icon and an icon called language.set and zfa06548 pop up on the desktop.
