Taskbar Keeps Popping Up
May 20, 2011lately while watching movies on my laptop the taskbar keeps randomly popping up at the bottom and then disappearing after a couple of minutes, this has only just started happening and it gets incredibly annoying when watching a film when attached to a separate monitor. its happening when watching videos on Internet,4od,bbc iplayer etc, anything fullscreen. its not just browser vidoes either, while watching dvds through vlc or wmp it is happening.

It is in a locked state (dont know how that happened either) and has a "Switch User" tab beneath it. It pops up when I am playing an online game which is very irritating. I am the only one who uses this computer so I have my login marked as "Administrator".

May 31, 2011I am experiencing a strange problem with my Windows 7 for last 2-3 weeks. When I use any application, suddenly Help Windows for application will pop up and it will not go away. If I try to close it, it opens again. This problem is spread across applications. Help Windows come up for SQL server, Microsoft Word and IE. Sometimes Help Windows won't let me do anything and I have to restart. It was only annoying till now but this problem seems to be spreading.I have checked F1 key and it is not stuck. Problem seems to be happening since I installed SQL server 2008 R2 around a month ago. I have Lenovo G450 with Windows 7 ( 64 bit ) installed.

Oct 31, 2012I run a Windows 7 64 bit, 6GB Ram, 1 TB, 2GB nvidia card system, that I recently did a factory restore on. It has worked great for the past 2 months since I did so. Until yesterday.All of a sudden, my mouse stops working. It is a wired laser mouse, and the laser wasn't on. I changed it's usb port, and it would try to install it again, and fail. I have no idea why. So, I use my keyboard to restart my computer.The restart takes forever. It took about 6 minutes to get to the windows screen. Still, my mouse doesn't work.But also, now, I have a problem where programs seem to run fine, but if I tab between windows, they maximize/minimize to the tray very slowly. I am not noticing a decrease in performance per say in the programs. (Just played some Guild Wars 2, while running the McAfee stinger, and google Chrome with 2 tabs, with no problem, getting about 50-80 fps while in combat) I looked at my task manager, which showed nothing out of the ordinary for stuff running (AVG antivirus, Chrome, Explorer, as the big ones).I am using AVG antivirus free, which is up to date, and have never had a virus in 10+ years of using it. Scan showed nothing either. All updates from Windows Update are set. I also use msconfig to disable all programs from starting up except AVG.

Small Flag Image Keeps Popping Up?
Sep 15, 2011As of today, out of nowhere at random times, an image of a small flag will pop up on my computer, always as a different file name. Here is a photo:I checked the properties, and it came up in the Temp folder. I delete them, but it keeps coming back with a different file name...Not sure if its a related issue or not, but as of today there have been a lot of "mevio" related web links on my history that I have not been on.

I let it but it still pops up. It's located in the Windows folder on the main hard-drive, but if I search "iqagoa.exe" in Google there's only TWO results, neither of which are related at all. May 26, 2011Whenever I start up my PC I am able to use all of my programs without incident, however when I open any web browser and start typing or following links my monitor goes blank. Then when I input anything the lockout/switch user screen pops up. I enter the password and everything resumes, but then I only get about 2 seconds to browse before the same screen pops up. This will happen over and over again and it's quite frustrating. I have scanned my computer with Malwarebytes and Spybot in normal and safe modes and neither found anything so I am usure what could be causing this.

Feb 28, 2012I have the icon pinned to my taskbar, and normally the way I use it is I click on the icon in the taskbar when I want the osk to pop up so that I can use it. When I'm finished with it, I click on the minimize button and it returns to its spot in the status bar and stays there until I click on it again. Now, *normally* when I pass my mouse pointer over the icon, just a thumbnail of the osk will appear. But lately when my mouse pointer simply passes over the icon, the osk will pop up and appear on my screen in full size, and I need to minimize it to put it back onto the taskbar. This is very inconvenient because every time I bring my mouse pointer down to the status bar to choose an icon, I inadvertently pass over the osk icon with my mouse pointer which causes it to pop up.

Nov 9, 2009I have recently switched from XP - 32 bit to Windows7 64 bit Home Premium via an upgrade license.
When I did the “upgrade” I chose to format the hard drive before installing Windows 7. When I performed the upgrade, I had my Creative X-Fi Extreme Music in my board’s only PCI slot. (Check my profile for my rigs specs). Once I started playing audio files, I noticed popping and clicking. I remember reading that X-Fi cards are famous for this so instead of fighting it, I just decided to uninstall the card and use the Onboard sound (Realtek AC97).
I uninstalled all the Creative software and when I uninstalled the hardware through device manager, I select the option to remove the driver. I rebooted, and enabled my onboard sound. I downloaded the most up to date audio drivers from Gigabyte (my motherboard OEM) and installed said drivers. I immediately noticed the same popping and clicking.
This surprised me so I looked at possibly flashing my motherboard BIOS. Upon reading the notes for what they changed to the BIOS, none of the updates sounded like they could have anything to do with my issue. Those notes are below:
1. Improve VGA card compatibility
2. Improve S3 resume compatibility
3. Intel®Core™ i7 processor D-0 stepping support.
4. Enhance Core i7 D0 stepping compatibility
5. Fix abnormal messages from EasyTune 6 and DES in Vista
6. Update new CPU microcode
I did not flash the motherboard BIOS. Instead I decided to try one of my recording sound cards. This one being an external USB sound card. A Line6 Toneport UX-2. I had the SAME clicking issue but since this soundcard has the ability to change the buffer memory, I gave that a try. I extended the buffer all the way to 4096MB. This seemed to help, but now the audio only clicked once every 10 seconds instead of every 5.
I did some digging and someone said that X-Fi cards click because the memory of the machine exceeds 4gig. I brought up MSCONFIG, changed the usable memory to 4gig. I uninstalled my Line 6, and downloaded Driver Cleaner to clean out the Creative and the Realtek drivers, booted into safe mode, deleted the registry keys and remaining drivers for the X-Fi manually. Shutdown, reinstalled the X-Fi and have the same clicking and popping.
I am now at a loss and throw myself before you to help. Let me know if there is something I am missing and thanks again for taking the time to read this book. I just want to be thorough so you knew what I had tried.
3 Error Windows Popping Up When Booting?
