Empty Recycle Bin Button Does Not Work
May 15, 2010The "empty recycle bin" button does not work any more. So also with a refresh, my deleted files are still visible. The other buttons (like "restore all items" works fine) If I select the files and press delete, than my files will be deleted from the recycle bin (So I can delete from the recycle bin).

May 24, 2008I was going to get the Antec 900, but I went with the Cooler Master 690.. and I'm very happy that I did.. cuz my brother got the Antec 900 and it's been nothing but a Nightmare, wire management blows, the Power buttons are Ghetto.. So here it is, When you take the top off.. the way the power buttons are attached are very cheaply done, and then they are Hot Glued on with a cheap glue that snaps off very easy.. or it was on his, someone was sleeping on the job with Quality Control..
so, at some point of his build he broke the power button.. it doesn't work. so we've tried to re-attach it.. and it's not workin very well, the entire module is very cheap, he was very careful and personally I think it was broken from the Very beginning... If anyone has an Old Antec 900 case.. or parts to there antec 900.. or anything like that.. Please feel free to PM me. I'm hoping to find the entire top part.. with the top 200mm fan. the power button and reset button and the I/O ports.. The Entire top. if anyone has an old 900 and would like to sell some parts, or make a lil money on there old tower they don't use.
Send/ Receive Button Does Not Work
Jun 24, 2008I can get mail by clicking on the pull-down for SEND/RECEIVE and selecting one of my two accounts. However, the button for send/receive all pops up a window for errors but no errors are listed. It worked before my computer experienced bad boards which resulted in HP fixing it and doing a system recovery. I've checked the account settings which are fine. I am using Vista. Is there a setting somewhere that must be set?

i am aware you can use print screen and then paste into paint for example but what i would like to do is make multiple screen shots while in game without leaving game to paste the pics.

Feb 13, 2009I can't seem to access the Print Screen command function. I have followed the directions given in MS Help. They say the following: To print the ENTIRE SCREEN: click on PrtScrn on your keyboard. This captures and stores in the clipboard everything showing on your screen, including opened property menus and dialogues. If you then open Paint you can use the Paste function to see the captured image. To print just the ACTIVE WINDOW on the screen: Use Alt+PrtScrn... Copies only the ACTIVE window. So, you would get whatever window is open, neatly cut out already, on the clipboard ready to paste in to your favorite image app. When I click on PrtScrn or Alt + PrtScrn nothing happens. When I go into Clipboard and Paint, there is no image, and the "Paste" command is grayed out, so I can't even access it. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64x and MS Office Home and Student.

Screen Saver Not Work
Aug 14, 2009I seem to be having some trouble with my screen saver. I have the picture viewer as my preferred screen saver but it doesn't seem to work at all. The preview image shows that I should be seeing something, but when I click the "preview" button, the screen goes black and doesn't cycle through anything. It is as though the screen saver is activated, but not cycling. All other screen savers work except the picture viewer. I use a nvidia 9300 GE, which I just updated the drivers for about 2 days ago.

When I unplug from the mains it dims, as normal but it will not brighten up again until I reboot with it plugged into the mains. Jun 2, 2009I am having a problem with my mouse and the screen saver. I am using a laptop. I find that with the Kensignton USB mouse plugged in, my screen saver doesn't work. And yet if I unplug it from the usb port, the screen saver now works. As well, the mouse (when it is plugged in) wants to run the 'sidebar' down to the bottom on screens that have lots of data. I have to unplug the mouse and use my finger to move the mouse around.

It starts up, I get the loading bar, but then bluescreen. I tried to chose any of the safe modes, but none of them work, just gives me the bluescreen again. Jul 15, 2009I have been playing around with my Vista for some days now. I patched my registry to account for custom visual styles and all. The computer responded fine to all these changes until today. I installed Desktop Maestro 3.0.0.830 which according to the internet is a decent registry cleaner and works with vista sp2.
What I learnt from the net is that desktop maestro will clean registry and will quicken my startup. So i ran it, and it came up with 937 problems in my registry. So the next thing i did was "Repair". and it did just that. But since then my computer hasn't been starting up at all. Before the login screen comes, i get a blue screen, which remains for too short a time for me to read, and reboots.
Turned the computer on in Safe Mode, which worked perfectly. Ran desktop maestro again, and restored the computer to a previous state. This didn't work. it kept saying C: has some errors please check. But the disk check doesnt work.......
Black Screen After Login--Ctrl+Alt+Dlt Doesnt Work
Nov 5, 2008hey everyone, so i know that there have been lots of post similar to this, but none of the actual responses work in my case. I used my laptop in the morning, no problem, and that afternoon, after I logged in, "welcome" popped up, and it remained on that screen for approx 30 seconds, and then it turned black. the cursor works but you cant see anything, but it sounds like everything is loading. I tried to press control, alt, delete but that doesnt work. It just sits there.
So I tried running it in safe mode, and if i hold down f8, it beeps for a bit, and then sometimes it runs in safe mode, sometimes not. I tried doing a system restore, but that didnt work. I dont know what else to do

I removed the hard disk.. connect it externally and ran a chkdsk /r and chkdsk /f then put it back to the laptop still didnt work..

Jan 4, 2010Even after shutting-down the PC, Start - Shut-down, a green light in the middle of the PC is still on, although the PC has been shut-down completely. I need to turn-off its light by pulling off power-cable connected with the PC. Does this indicate 'malfunction' light inside the PC?
