Cannot Play Music Files On Computer
Apr 13, 2008I cannot play music files on my computer. I have three different media players (iTunes, Napster, and Windows Media Player) and nothing will play on any of them.

Music Files Had Disappeared Computer
Mar 23, 2008One day, suddenly, my Windows Media Player told me that i had not added any tracks to my library. This caused me to almost die, since i had many tracks and was afraid that perhaps all of my music files had disappeared from my computer. But i looked in "My Music" folder and they were still there. I went to the add music option in the media player and it still would not add my tracks to the library. I can't figure out why it is doing this, but it is very irritating. I downloaded Itunes and i don't like it nearly as much as media player, so i would like to be able to use media player again. I am also a college student using ruckus and itunes doesn't pick up ruckus files like media player does. Do i have to uninstall media player and install it again?

Mar 23, 2008My vista home premium seems to have a problem with its music media replay. When I open a song file, the music id fine but the vocals sound distant, inaudible and a large amount of echo. I did download an mp3 player called morpher or something very similar but deleted after playing two songs, has this damaged my music files or my computer? I am unsure if the mp3 player is the culprit but all was fine beforehand.
I have updated the realtek driver but has made no difference to the vocal reproduction. I have also tried a system restore to a date well before the mp3 player was put onto the computer, it still made no difference.
Can Not Play Sent Background Music
Mar 5, 2009In fact I did ask this question before and I received an answer from one of the MVPs, but I lost the copy. This is what I did : Create Mail > Format > Background > Sound > browse to locate my choice of music, Click Open > OK ( I chose MP3 instead of .wav or midi, because they take too long to upload and send ). This is my problem : I sent that to myself for testing. Music came on as soon as I opened the e-mail. But, when I sent it to someone else, the recipient was unable to hear anything. The answer I received before was about recipient having have to change a setting, but I don't remember what.

Mar 23, 2008I have been trying to burn cds from media library. However, after dragging the member to the burn list & starting the burn process, the system prompt me to insert a blank disk, after doing that, the list appears & immediately I see pending for each song followed by complete which indicates the burn is complete, it also states that it is finalizing the disk. All this happens too fast & the end result is a non-playable or wasted cd.

I can't seem to get it to return to default. I've done the folder options with no avail. I have some knowledge of computers. Mar 4, 2009I had at problem with Vista Ultimate, it change the order of my drive under new installation. For at wile I didīt do anything abort it, now I change them. I had to rename the drive from C, D, E, F,G to C, D, E, F,G, H, I so I cut change them to the right order. The problem is that the H; Drive (DVD) is the link to the music file map now, I cant change the the link back to standard. it says that the under file can not be made, Vista is looking at the H; DVD Drive. The Music files are F drive. How do I get the the Music file map to look at F drive and not H (drive DVD)? How do I make the missing under maps for Music files, and how do I cut the connection to the H Drive (DVD)?

Netscape Play Media Files?
Jun 17, 2008I am new to windows vista, and I encountered a problem that I want to using Netscape navigator to browse web and sometime I visit website that contain media files such as mp3, wma... and the browse doesn't play it using WMP. With Firefox browse can play them after I install the plugin but Netscape doesn't. I have find around to find a plugin for Netscape but I have not found yet. Any body can tell me the way to fix it? I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit with SP1, WMP 11.0.6001.7000, netscape navigator 9b3.

Mar 23, 2008The 1st problem is WMP11 failing to play .WMA or WMV files in Full Mode. The canned posts zachd has supplied everywhere does not fix the problem for most people. THIS IS A WMP11 PROBLEM! It is not an Intel graphics problem, or a Codec problem, or some other vendor's problem. This is evidenced by the fact that video will play if you start in Skin Mode and then switch to Full Mode while it is already playing. However it won't play if you start off in Full Mode first. The 2nd problem is THERE IS NO WMP11 UNINSTALL/REINSTALL!
Why hasn't it occurred to Dev that making a clean uninstall/reinstall procedure will resolve the WMP11 problems caused by corrupt files and registry entries? The Full Mode problem is a recurring problem seen in numerous user forums on the across Internet. Please do something to correct this problem once and for all.

Xbox 360 Access Music Files:drive Address And Network Address
Mar 29, 2009Been trying for hours to use Xbox 360 to access music and other files on my compuer, using both Drive address and network address. ALL files can be seen successfully on WMC on the Vista computer but nothing on the Xbox 360 -- except some photos on my son's XP machine (that worked easily).Could really use a simple solution to this please!

When I play CD's or DVD's the problem is resolved. Also, when I unplug the HDMI, the problem is resolved. Also, when I minimize Media Center, the problem is resolved. It only happens when the HDMI is plugged in and Media Center is Maximized. I have searched all over and have not been able to find a solution to this problem. I have tried changing the HDMI cords and changing the HDMI input on the TV. I've also tried to use a different TV and no luck.
