I am trying to use Windows DVD maker for the first time and I am running into the problem that I am having is the slide show works great but the music wont play right after each other there is like a 5 to 10 min pause before the next song with pick up to go with the slide, I have more songs then I have mins for pics but it still will not play it the right.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was trying to import some videos I downloaded online and it says,"The file C:UsersRosalieDownloads[DB]_Naruto_Shippuuden_010_[EC7747DE].zip cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again." But, I already installed the DivX codec that the website I downloaded the clip from recommended and I tried restarting WMM.
I know that I did this before on my old computer. I downloaded videos from the same website, and I had to download the DivX codec. Once I downloaded the codec, the files worked, and i was able to download them. Does anyone know why it won't work for me now? Could it have anything to do with the files having been downloaded as zipped folders?
In fact I did ask this question before and I received an answer from one of the MVPs, but I lost the copy. This is what I did : Create Mail > Format > Background > Sound > browse to locate my choice of music, Click Open > OK ( I chose MP3 instead of .wav or midi, because they take too long to upload and send ). This is my problem : I sent that to myself for testing. Music came on as soon as I opened the e-mail. But, when I sent it to someone else, the recipient was unable to hear anything. The answer I received before was about recipient having have to change a setting, but I don't remember what.

However, after dragging the member to the burn list & starting the burn process, the system prompt me to insert a blank disk, after doing that, the list appears & immediately I see pending for each song followed by complete which indicates the burn is complete, it also states that it is finalizing the disk. All this happens too fast & the end result is a non-playable or wasted cd.

when she tries to publish the video it publishes it all but when she plays it back the video clips she has put into her video with titles and transitions don't play, the transitions and titles do but the video clips from her camera don't, any solutions
I'm using WMM on Vista. I was editing a video last night. The video has no effects or transitions. Just some elaborate cutting. I spent about an hour and a half on it, and I was nearly done. But suddenly, the timeline won't play back. I can't very well do my cutting without a preview. The play button does nothing.I've tried many of the makeshift solutions posted. I tried taking out the opening clip and putting it back. The same with the last clip. I've rebooted. I've even copy and pasted the entire project into a new project. When I copy and pasted the video, I got playback on the new project, but when I transferred the audio track, I ran into the same problem.

When I open a song file, the music id fine but the vocals sound distant, inaudible and a large amount of echo. I did download an mp3 player called morpher or something very similar but deleted after playing two songs, has this damaged my music files or my computer? I am unsure if the mp3 player is the culprit but all was fine beforehand.
I have updated the realtek driver but has made no difference to the vocal reproduction. I have also tried a system restore to a date well before the mp3 player was put onto the computer, it still made no difference.
When i use windows vista and any browser or media player library when i scroll the music jumps and slows down,im on a vista hombasic maching with 1.5gb of ram an ati radeon 5000 series and a celeron d processor

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have premium vista and i've used movie maker to create a film containing only video. when i try and encode it to wmv (dvd quality) it starts ok then just hangs half way though encoding. So I tried to burn it to DVD instead - DVD maker opens and I made a menu then clicked burn. It starts and makes one pass of the encoding progress bar. It then returns to zero and says buring and goes to 0.6% before stopping there. Both applications are running in task manager and respond to minimize/maximise/close etc without problems. my cpu use is low and I have free ram. I have tried different media and slowing down the burn speed, all to no result.

Today I discovered that it can actually be used to find also MP3s by duration (finally)! Let's say you want to search for all music >6 mins long... First enable natural language search, it's much easier: ...after this passage, you can type in this in the Start menu: music duration >3600000000 and you'll find all MP3s greater than 360 seconds (6 mins)! Isn't that simple? Don't ask my you have to add 7 zeroes after the seconds, but it works! I have an HP Pavilion Media Center m8200n PC with Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. The problem is with publishing from WMM to DVD using Window DVD Maker. The encoding process goes fine but once it begins to finalize (98.8%) the DVD will eject and then it gives me the message that it cannot complete the burning process due to an error but it doesn?t tell me what the error is. The only thing mentioned is to check the burner and make sure it is connect properly. I should mention that I have an internal LightScribe burner (ATAPI DVD A DH16A3L SCSI cd Rom device). After spending the better part of a Sunday afternoon I tried using only a LightScribe DVD and that worked but in the past I have been able to use any brand DVD.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI’m having trouble creating a DVD from AVI files using Windows DVD Maker, When I try and Import an AVI clip into DVD Maker I get a message pop up that says file type is unsupported or corrupt, it does this for all my AVI files, My hunch is that I do not have the correct codec’s, if so does anyone know what codec’s I might need and where to get them from, DVD Maker does support AVI files right ?
My ultimate aim is just to get my AVI movie files onto DVD (for playback on a standalone player) so do not necessarily need to use DVD Maker just thought it would be easier using a built in Microsoft app
We all know about the "Windows .... has stopped working" then it says something about Data Execution and there is a problem. I cannot import .avi files into movie maker nor can I save files. I can import .wmv files and a few others but I get the error whenever I try to import .avi files. For DVD Maker, everything works fine until I try to burn and encode. It'll remain on "0.0 for encoding" and then the error will come up. It's not just .avi. I can't publish any videos.
I've read everywhere that Nero can cause problems and DivX. I do not have Nero and I have the latest version of DivX which I've uninstalled before. I've also tried removing filters from movie maker's tool options. Nothing has worked.
I bought the wife a HD video camera for Xmas, it records in mp4 format. What do I need to convert this to a format that I can play with it in windows movie maker?

I transferred it from a SD card and the file is VMP. I'm sure WMM is working ok as I have been successful at publishing a sample video that came with the PC. Really would appreciate some help as I'm getting very frustrated.
