I have been trying to burn cds from media library. However, after dragging the member to the burn list & starting the burn process, the system prompt me to insert a blank disk, after doing that, the list appears & immediately I see pending for each song followed by complete which indicates the burn is complete, it also states that it is finalizing the disk. All this happens too fast & the end result is a non-playable or wasted cd.
In fact I did ask this question before and I received an answer from one of the MVPs, but I lost the copy. This is what I did : Create Mail > Format > Background > Sound > browse to locate my choice of music, Click Open > OK ( I chose MP3 instead of .wav or midi, because they take too long to upload and send ). This is my problem : I sent that to myself for testing. Music came on as soon as I opened the e-mail. But, when I sent it to someone else, the recipient was unable to hear anything. The answer I received before was about recipient having have to change a setting, but I don't remember what.
I cannot play music files on my computer. I have three different media players (iTunes, Napster, and Windows Media Player) and nothing will play on any of them.
I am trying to use Windows DVD maker for the first time and I am running into the problem that I am having is the slide show works great but the music wont play right after each other there is like a 5 to 10 min pause before the next song with pick up to go with the slide, I have more songs then I have mins for pics but it still will not play it the right.
i am having problems with the sound on vista. music plays fine until i open anything else. if anything is loading music is severely distorted. i have updated eveything there is. i cannot listen to any music on myspace or watch any videos on Internet.
MSN Music To Delete DRM Keys - Say Goodbye To Your Music "Customers who have purchased music from Microsoft's now-defunct MSN Music store are now facing a decision they never anticipated making: commit to which computers (and OS) they want to authorize forever, or give up access to the music they paid for. Why? Because Microsoft has decided that it's done supporting the service and will be turning off the MSN Music license servers by the end of this summer." http://tinyurl.com/3uwfo8. just another "screw you" from Microsoft
Have I got a trojan? My laptop is taken over by some weird software and keeps playing this music (innocuous dance music, which is not from my HD thats for sure). I dont know where it came from. My CD tray is empty. AVG search founds nothing wrong. What is this? I can turn the volume down.. but nohting else.
I have a CD that has all the songs on it in MP3 format. I would like to convert these MP3 songs to a music CD format that will play on my cars CD player. The CD that has MP3 songs will not play on the cars player. What do I need to do to get these MP3's to copy to a normal CD so I can play them.
My vista home premium seems to have a problem with its music media replay. When I open a song file, the music id fine but the vocals sound distant, inaudible and a large amount of echo. I did download an mp3 player called morpher or something very similar but deleted after playing two songs, has this damaged my music files or my computer? I am unsure if the mp3 player is the culprit but all was fine beforehand.
I have updated the realtek driver but has made no difference to the vocal reproduction. I have also tried a system restore to a date well before the mp3 player was put onto the computer, it still made no difference.
I have been trying to burn a CD from itunes, and when I drag a file from a web page it says take no action, and when I do get one to drop on the itunes playlist, and click burn it says its not a file and cannot be burned, only files on your computers hard drive can be burned. Now I know this sounds easy, but I guess I don't even know how to get it on my hard except to save it,
This will be extremely basic; sorry about that. I have got thisinfuriating thing of not being able to burn to CD in such a way that the result will be readable by XP. I'm on Vista and according to Helpthere's supposed to be a dialogue box that springs up asking about how you want files to be burnt to CD when a blank CD is inserted. With some fiddling around I got Vista to produce a menu, one of whose options is 'burn to disk'. But then when I click on it, it just says there aren't any files to be burnt. Where are the files supposed to be put for them to be recognised?
I am making a horse training video to sell, and the storyline is around 3 hours long. I need to burn it on multiple DVD's because I can't shorten it. How do I go about burning all my storyline on 2 (or even 3 maybe) DVD'S? I need to get this done ASAP.
I'm trying to burn a DVD img file with serveral peices of software and nothing is working. I know the image is good, I viewed it with Alcohol in virtual drive. I have tried Nero, IMG Burn, DVDFab, and a few others. It completes successfully but when I view the disc only the menu works the movie is broken up with mpeg blocking and will not play sufficiently. I also tried it in my x32 machine as well and it did the same thing... What am I doing wrong?
I'm on windows ultimate.. I need to burn a DATA DVD.. for some reason this is proving a challenge.. you can't do it w/WMC, as it doesn't afford possibility of browsing to folders you want to burn. my roxio 10 isn't letting me do it either (when I go to "Data and Backup" I get to a window where under "Data Disc" it says, "Easily create and bun a data CD or DVD or save a disc image to your hard drive"... so I click on this "Data Disc" link, choose folder, click on yellow button at bottom right ("click this button to continue") but it just hangs. nothing happens.. (and yes I do have a blank DVD loaded in the drive...)
just downloaded a trial version of nero.. same thing, you can do all sorts of fancy stuff, like burn music DVD's, movies, video, do fancy menus, slideshows, etc.. but I want none of that, I just want to burn a bunch of JPG's to a DVD (A LOT of them actually, only reason need to burn them on a DVD instead of a regular data CD is that it's so many images that I would have to burn about four CD's to burn all the images I want to burn..) I just want a DATA DVD that when user inserts it in the machine they can browse the files. but this is proving a bit difficult, which is a bit strange, I mean this is a very simple thing. how can I do this..
I have created a movie using Windows Movie Maker. I am trying to burn this movie using Nero 6, so I can play the movie on a DVD player. I have tried various attempts and not getting anywhere. Need quick steps what I need to do to get the file to play on a DVD disk? In Nero, I am selecting Make Video CD option. I then Add the WMV File, which it analyzes and I select the DVD/RW...option (not Image Recorder). It then begins encoding but it then spits the DVD/RW disk out saying the compilation cannot be written to this type of disk.
When I try to do this it says it is going to take around 7 hours and nothing else happens..I know it shouldn't be doing this and that I am doing everything correctly as it used to work fine. However I recently had to reinstall vista on my laptop and don't know if this has caused a change which will prevent photos burning now! I am using CD-R discs and my drive is compatible with DVD discs and CD-R and CD-RW so I'm not going wrong here! All the discs I am using are new and therefore blank. Also I'm not a computer whizz in the slightest so any explanations have to be fairly simple!
I have the computer set to sleep after 5 minutes, needs to be that way for various reasons. The burning and verification of a DVD take over 20 minutes. Is there a way to prevent sleep during this process, since it aborts the burn process?
Until yesterday, I would create a backup to my word documents by inserting a CD and following the prompts erasing old files and burning updated files. Today I inserted the CD, received the prompt to erase; erased; reinserted the CD and nothing happened. Can't get a prompt of any kind. I'm using Vista on a Gateway laptop.
i burn doesnt read correctly after its burned like it reads the disc but is all corrupted so i thought it was my dvd rom was dead on arival so i bought tsstcorp cdvdw sh-s223q scsi cd rom device and same problem
i tried burning music, selected the correct format, then it proceeds to windows media player. it doesn't have any problems until it finalizes the cd or dvd although a message appears that burning was completed O.o when i check the cd/dvd there's nothing on there! i have no problems playing music or movies on my dvd-rom.
When I burn a data DVD using the right click - sent to d: my system laggs really bad.
My specs are AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (2.6GHz dual core) 3gb DDR2 ram nForce 430 chipset geForce 6150SE (256mb dedicated and 1100mb shared) DVD multi drive all drivers are the latest x64 versions Windows Vista Home Premium x64 SP2 (up to date on all updates)
I'm using DVD+RW disks....
Is this normal.I mean my entire computer was lagging BAD and this is a fresh install of Vista (just switched from x86 to x64 a few daysago). None of my resources are being hogged up or anything like that page file was at about 1.5gb, 35% memory usage (out of 3gigs),processor usage was at about 10%.
Why am I lagging so bad when burning a DVD? Any other time, the computer is extremely fast.but while burning it took almost an entire minute to open up firefox.
I have cd with all the pics from my son't first year on it. I don't have these files saved anywhere except for the cd anymore. I opened it once today because I got some more files that I needed to see if they were on it. There were some that weren't. So, I went to burn them and noticed that I actually didn't want some of the temp files waiting to be burned on there. So, I canceled it. Then I went to open the cd again to redo which ones I wanted to burn. Now, I can't view the files on the cd anymore. It just says drag files to add them to the disk.
When I right click on the drive in my computer I can browze with Infran that I have installed. But, not even half of the pictures are there. The disk was not made on a vista computer. But, I don't think that is the issue because it opened just before all of this happened. My dh also has vista and I tried to open it on his. It says the disk may be corrupt or needs to be formatted. I tried to format it. But, it says it will erase the files. Not that I know what it was before. But, right now it says that there is 89.9mb used and 612mb free. But, nothing will open when I open folder to view files. Please tell me the pics are not lost.
I am trying to run Easy DVD Clone on a vista computer. The decryption happens through a DVD Fab software which transfers the video ts folders to a location that Easy DVD Clone can then read from. The initial process works fine and it transfers the files to a temp location but then when it tries to burn it to a DVD, the process stalls at 99% and right after I get the pop-up window stating "Easy DVD Clone has stopped working". This happens with all DVD's. Do you know why this maybe the case and if this a vista related issue? I have already disabled my virus protection software as someone has suggested somewhere that it may cause a problem and I also deleted some other dvd burning softwares that I had on there but the result is much the same.
I have been trying to burn a clutch of photographs to a cd for the first time on my Dell Laptop using Vista. I am using old cds (CD-RW) that I know are free and I have been using them to transfer photographs from an older PC so I know that laptop is able to read the cds. I have had to use the old PC to scan the photographs as my scanner is not supported by Vista.
However, when I come to burn the photographs I get a message that windows cannot complete the format or it hangs after taking forever to try to complete the format. I have to admit I do not understand the process and thought I would be able to drag and drop as I have done with a flash drive. I did have Nero on my old PC but I cannot use that as I cannot get the photographs back to the PC from the laptop. I am fairly sure the old PC does not support a flash drive. Also the old PC does not have an Ethernet port.
Recently I burned an iso file from a website. I was given the option to save, and I saved the file to a CD-R. The burning was successful. However, I have Roxio Dell Edition burning software on my pc, but it appears not to support iso files. The burned iso file has the Roxio logo. My question is 'Can Vista burn files'. Os is Vista Home Premium, 32 bit
Nero causes weird things to happen with my Vista Installed and deleted 3 times , give up. Anyone recommend a good burning program for avi movies etc.Trying Apollo Divx2DVD at moment.
I need to copy some old DVD of manuals that I have and I want to know which software will work the best. I've done a search and it was 40 pages of mixedup topics.
I have a new Toshiba Satellite X205-SLI4 with Windows Vista Ultimate. Vista's intrinsic cd burning capability does not appear to be working. I place a new cd-r disc in my cd/dvd drive, but no messages pop-up ( such as "Burn files to data disc." ). Additionally, the cd-r is not recognized by Nero StartSmart ( it says "Data disc burning > Data Burning > Please insert a writable disc." ) How can I diagnose this problem ?
