May 24, 2008I was going to get the Antec 900, but I went with the Cooler Master 690.. and I'm very happy that I did.. cuz my brother got the Antec 900 and it's been nothing but a Nightmare, wire management blows, the Power buttons are Ghetto.. So here it is, When you take the top off.. the way the power buttons are attached are very cheaply done, and then they are Hot Glued on with a cheap glue that snaps off very easy.. or it was on his, someone was sleeping on the job with Quality Control..
so, at some point of his build he broke the power button.. it doesn't work. so we've tried to re-attach it.. and it's not workin very well, the entire module is very cheap, he was very careful and personally I think it was broken from the Very beginning... If anyone has an Old Antec 900 case.. or parts to there antec 900.. or anything like that.. Please feel free to PM me. I'm hoping to find the entire top part.. with the top 200mm fan. the power button and reset button and the I/O ports.. The Entire top. if anyone has an old 900 and would like to sell some parts, or make a lil money on there old tower they don't use.
Power - After Repluging To AC USB Doesnt Work
Nov 23, 2009I unplug AC and USB devices in order to work outside my working station... After some time, when I replug the laptop to AC and replug the USB devices they don't work... No mouse, no printer, no smart card, no usb at all. Also I can't restart the computer as it freezes, so I have to shut it down "violently". I noticed that this always occurs when the battery is under 50 %. But sometimes it happens even at higher percentages. I've installed sp2, I've disabled the USB selective suspend both in power options and in registry.

Now it's a brick. Mar 26, 2008before this i try to install vista on my machine. and for sure in that time we need to create user (adminstrator) before we start using the vista. after that, i try to keep an image for my vista because if anything happen, it will be more easier to me. then, i try to image on my machine again. but, there already have i user which mean the administrator that i create during the 1st installation. so, when i do the image, i need to put the different user name because the user name that i try to create already exist. so that will create 2 different user when imaging is done. is there any way how to delete the 1st user? so when imaging is done, it will only 1 user (new user) and the windows will be automatically show the desktop. (i know how to delete from control panel>user account). actually this is for my client.

Oct 29, 2008As you can see from my profile I have Vista Ultimate x64 but I can't install Virtual PC 2007. Basically I downloaded the installer (making sure it was the x64 version), ran it and it all went fine until suddenly the installation just rolled back and said that no modifications were made to the system. It doesn't give me an error message. I searched on the Internet but I can't seem to find the solution. And yes, I tried both the normal installer and the SP1 version.

I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 (I still have enough liscenses left for this laptop) which I was trying to install. I try to run setup and it attempts to load and then automatically closes and displays the following message:"Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator."
I am the administrator on this computer. When I try to launch setup on my other laptop that runs 32bit it works just fine. Before I bought the new laptop I checked to see if my software would work on 64bit and the internet said it would. Am I doing anything wrong?

I want to copy (image) the current hard drive to the SimpleTech, replace the hard drive and copy the image of from the SimpleTech back to the new drive.
1. Can this be done?
2. What software should one use?
3. Where would one find the steps necessary to do the imaging portion. (I

People use this software every single day of the week. I use it so much I would be willing to pay a per month price to have access to it ! Sep 23, 2008I have a very annoying problem with my Intel DG45ID motherboard. I am noticing that my Vista power configuration setting are changing automatically! I will set my monitor to go to standby after 20-minutes and for the computer to go to sleep after 30-minutes of idle activity. Everything is fine for a week or two, then suddenly I notice that they are both set to "Never". Anybody have this issue? Alternately, is there some sort of log that I can look at to see what might have changed these settings?

Mar 23, 2008There was a power outage, then when I turned the computer on, VISTA boots but never completely. I end up with a grey screen with the mouse arrow and nothing to point at. I tried to do a repair using the installation DVD, it tells me that" "Your computer is running a limited diagnostic state. If you use System Restore in teh limited state, you can not undo the restore operation. Help topic are not available in this state". I do not want to do a new installation and loose my files and have to install and register everything again. It has been doing that since 1:30pm and still nothing.

I am running Vista Home Premium 32bit on my HP Pavilion tx 2110 with an AMD X2 Mobile Tech TL-62 2.1Ghz and 3gb of RAM. Whenever my laptop is unplugged from the wall and running on the battery, Vista seems to limit the processor frequency to 38% of the max (roughly 800mhz) no mater the power plan or processor load. While the computer is plugged in however, everything runs beautifully with the frequency at 100%.

Mar 5, 2009I have some Vista Business users running with Limited accounts so that they can't install programs with the admin password. MS Automatic Update service seems to be running as Administrator so those patches get applied seemlessly and without my user having to call me to apply them. But I would truely love the ability to allow for Firefox and Adobe Reader to update themselves as well? Is this possible? I just can't keep up with all those updates on those two program for everyone here at work. Hey, I wonder if Google Updater can update these apps seemlessly: Ummm... I guess this runs as a System Account. I'll give this a shot and see. Otherwise any other suggestions are welcome. Overall though, I'd like to see how to define a specific program (well understanding the security ramifications) to install it as admin automatically.

Drivers For IPX To Work On Vista, Didn't Work
Jul 1, 2008I have been wracking my brain for weeks now, trying to play C&C First Decade with Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge over the LAN, it will only run on IPX networking which I could setup with 2x XP machines, I have Vista Ultimate on my PC, and XP on another, I found some drivers for IPX to work on Vista, didn't work ... So I loaded Hamachi which had built-in IPX support. Now when I open RA2, it no longer says IPX unavailable, it shows 00 00 00...
So it can see my Hamachi adapter with IPX support, great! The other XP machine has Hamachi installed, and they are both VPN'd (Connected) on the same Hamachi Network. They don't see each other... The XP machine shows a few IPX networks, I have tried switching to them all, even put the Hamachi adapter and the LAN adapter to the top of the preferred networks list. This was sort-of a breeze with both XP, but with Vista it's looking to be a bit tricky. I have no firewalls running on either machine and I am pretty cluey when it comes to networking (TCP/IP that is).
