Jul 28, 2008i downloaded a 2GB Quicktime movie file from an oversea friend onto my WinXP PC but i couldnt get it to work although i playback it with Quicktime. He streamed the quicktime file from internet thru his Mac PC.When i received it i noticed it doesnt have an ext at all.

Dec 16, 2005My computer, which has IE and Windows XP, somehow lost Flash player 8 and Shockwave last week. Graphics, pictures and streaming videos do not show up anymore. Many pages which have graphics are simply blank boxes. I tried to use my restore function on my computer and reset the computer to before this all happened and when I go to the restore page all I see is a white page with no words.On Macromedia's website, I try and download Flashplayer and Shockwave where it says to click but after that I see nothing but a blank page. It seems need these programs to even download them! Which is really getting my upset!I had a tech person from Yahoo help me with my all my computer settings and they are all set the way they should be. But I still cannot obtain Flash and Shockwave at all!

I had installed the PoverDvd 5 and I figure could be a software issue so I upgrade to Poverdvd 6 and the same nothing happen. Actually I can read and write CD even audio CD. The error that show poverdvd is "No disk in Drive D:" if I search with the explorer the conten of the unit is empty. Jul 12, 2010every 3-5 minutes or so, the main window that i'm working in (doesn't matter which program im running, but usually firefox/msn messenger, etc..) stops being the "top" window, and instead goes to the background - as if i opened another internet explorer window on top of it.this "glitch" is always followed by something even more strange - the sound gets cut off, and if i check the meters in volume control i always find the "wave" meter to be on minimum, and i have to put it back in the middle.

Aug 9, 2005When watching DVDs or listening to music from MP3 on the hard drive, the performance is jerky. This happens using WMP and RealPlayer both. I used TaskManager to see if there was any resident stuff and eliminated antispyware and a few other programs, but nothing shows on the list. I ran Process Explorer from SysInternals.com and it shows19-35 % of the CPU capacity from "Interrupts". What can be causing this stuttering or jerky performance.

This happens in Media Center, Windows Media Player and WinDVD. I have tried different DVDs and have the same problem with all, however playing video or music files from the hard drive is not a problem. just the DVDs!

I'm experiencing the exact same problem as this person above... anyone know what's causing this problem and how to fix it? I know for a fact that it's strictly a software/driver issue and not related in any way
to hardware. I happened to purchase 2 identical HP PCs and intially both were fine and then after about a week one of them began to exhibit this DVD playback problem. I swapped the hard drives and the problem followed with the hard drive over to the "good" PC and the problem was gone from the "bad" PC. My fear is that eventually this same problem will surface on the "good" hard drive... BTW, neither PC is connected to the Internet (by design, since I'm using them as stand alone workstations).
