No Option To Save Movie AVI Windows Movie Maker
Oct 7, 2009I have Windows Movie Maker version 5.1 and it just simply does not show any options for file type in the Save Movie Wizard settings. I do get options that affect file size/resolution but no "Other" settings. Do I have the wrong version of WMM? I'd like to save my movies as .avi files

Jul 30, 2007Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the source files used in your movie are still available, that saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.
This error is driving me nuts.
Not matter what drive I select, no matter what files I use as a source, I STILL GET THIS ERROR.
I have 2 hard drives, one with 35 gigs free space, the other with 90 gigs of free space. I have 2 gigs of RAM. AMD 64 3700+ processor.
Can't Delete Movie File?
Apr 30, 2006I'm running W2K Pro on a IBM laptop and I have a movie file I downloaded from Limewire, it was supposed to be a funny cartoon but after trying to open it I just got some noise and a blank WMP screen, so I was going to delete the file, but when I right click and chose delete it won't delete, the propertys also won't display and I get a box that says they are unavailable, I also can't move the file at all, I tried to delete in Safe Mode but that didn't work either, I ran Ad-Aware, Spybot and have the free version of AVG and none of them found any bad stuff installed, the computer works fine but I just want to get rid of this file,

May 12, 2005i have a movie file in My Documents, and when i click it and try to delete it, a window comes up that says that it can't be deleted because its being used by another program. THEN, my computer begins running slow and i have to restart my pc. I tried the same procedure in Safe Mode, but the same thing happened. Any advice as to how i can delete this file?

Sep 8, 2007I downloaded a file a while ago.Its a DVD file.The site i used is an official site. The download appeared on my desktop.I then moved the file to "Microsoft My Private Folder".When it was moved i clicked on the file and the PC turned off.I restarted the computer and tried to right click on the file and the same thing happened.I then went to C Drive,All programs and tried to delete "Microsoft My Private Folder but that didnt work eiter.Access was denied.I ran a virus check and it was ok no virus.I have Windows XP on a HP Desktop.

Oct 9, 2007I'm a new member to this site. Found some posts pretty interesting and hence thought that this would be the place where I may get the solution to my problem. I have a SONY DVD RW AV-G170A installed on my Dual Processor Pentium PC. There are some Movie DVD's which I can play and view movies perfectly. The drive recognizes the media and plays the movies But there are some DVD's which when inserted in the drive are not recognised by Windows AT ALL - under any circumstances. It says "Windows cannot read from the this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows"
THE DVD ROM IS WORKING PERFECTLY OK WITH OTHER SOME MOVIE DVD'S AND SOME DVD'S GIVING THE ABOVE MENTIONED PROBLEM.

Now, my o/s (Win XP Pro SP2) and Office 2003 has all the latest updates completed (no failures). Why and how would I download SP2 with Movie Maker 2.1 when I already have SP2? Last weekend I bougth a DVD Movie hoping to see it on my laptop, but when I insert the disc nothing happen. I had installed the PoverDvd 5 and I figure could be a software issue so I upgrade to Poverdvd 6 and the same nothing happen. Actually I can read and write CD even audio CD. The error that show poverdvd is "No disk in Drive D:" if I search with the explorer the conten of the unit is empty.
