i want to watch a movie on my desktop it cannot play dvd with audio..it comes that when i open my dvd ram
it displays 2 folders audio and video..and in auto play it plays no audio and the player saids unknown dvd
how do I transition from audio/music overlay to original audio within the movie?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am using a Sony Vaio Model PCG- 7X2L and it won't play any sounds. There is no volume control on the task bar, so I went to Sounds and Audio Devices and it says there is no audio device. When lookng at the Device Manager, this is what is listed under Sound, video, and game controllers:
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Video Codecs
I don't see anything that says Realtek, SoundMax, or any other similar devices. What do I need to download in order to have sound play on my laptop?
Recently when I play a dvd on my pc the audio is jumpy and cracks, but if I drag the the time line bar back a few seconds the audio will be fine for the scene I just watched. this happens in all media players that I have used. So far I have tried to Roll back and update my drivers, checked all my audio levels, I made sure my DirectX sound was on full acceleration, and I have DMA enabled. One thing I just thought of while typing this is, I use Daemon tools to mount my all my games could this be causing a problem?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI make a DVD with PCM audio and it stutters and stops in my computer (any software player I try). It will play just fine in other computers and set-top players. Then, I make a DVD with Dolby Digital Audio and it plays fine on my omputer and everywhere else. Why won't my computer play the PCM audio DVD? I have the latest drivers for everything, a HT P4 3.4ghz with Creative Audigy ZS2 sound card and ATI X800 video. Top stuff, right? My codecs are current and I'm running XP SP1

1.No issue with sound drivers as audio is tested and detected.
2.No issue with sony cd-DVD device. it is been tested and played on other system.
3.Media used is OK as it was able to play audio earlier
4.Codec was updated
Complaint was audio CDs won't play. Think problem is actually autoplay doesn't work. It is enabled for the drives/files. Tried Microsoft autoplay repair tool, Tweak, checked services. Music CDs just won't autoplay

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the source files used in your movie are still available, that saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.
This error is driving me nuts.
Not matter what drive I select, no matter what files I use as a source, I STILL GET THIS ERROR.
I have 2 hard drives, one with 35 gigs free space, the other with 90 gigs of free space. I have 2 gigs of RAM. AMD 64 3700+ processor.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have windows XP installed, service pack 3, and fully updated. As is all my anti-virus software etc, etc.My PC had a DVD Rom drive and a CD RW drive. I have just installed a new LiteOn DVD writer, making 3 drives in total. Everything works absolutely perfect. I can copy DVD's on the fly from my DVD Rom, and every other aspect of my PC is fine. All three drives work great. Except, now, my PC won't hibernate! It use to be able to robustly carry out this function with no issues. But as soon as I installed the DVD Writer, it will no longer work. I can make the PC hibernate manually by going to the computer 'turn off' option, and click 'hibernate' but it won't automatically do it after a set time. I have played about with the hibernation settings for ages but it makes no difference. How can I make my PC hibernate automatically like it use to?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently got the 'blue screen' on my IBM NetVista. various tech people and was told that 1.) my hard drive was gone; 2.) a bad virus had taken over the 'puter; and various other things. Being stubborn Scots-Irish, I decided to see what I could do before I gave up.
Started computer again, tapping the F8 key while it was booting up......ran all the system diagnostic tests and passed them, so I knew it wasn't the hard drive. Finally got it to boot back up, but of course, had lost all my data; ran all my recover info and got everything back except my 'Record Now' feature, which allows me to make data discs, copy existing discs, It should have been on one of the original discs that came with the computer, but I can't find it.
Problem is, I want to save all my documents, games, addresses and such as back-up. How can I do that without my Record Now feature?
Is there a way to find that specific program on my Recovery discs and install lit to make my back-up copies? I haven't tried to copy to the floppy discs because it takes so many of them.
my computer with xp was running fine until i found that it was not showing my cd drive. I've checked the neccesary connection and they were all fine. the device manager shows the drive with a yellow sign giving error code 39 which says that driver is corrupt or missing. now my cd drive is a plug and play and does not have any driver bundled with it. uninstalling and reinstaling the drive wont help. xp detect the new hardware at the start up but again same problem.i wanted to reinstall xp but since cd drive is not available i tried to run it from hard disk. but it too was not running.
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhenever I try to play music it doesnt play, it says low on memory, whenever I open any Microsoft Word program it gives me some error about a license, and whever I try to copy and paste anything, it doesnt let me. I have a few partitions on my hard drive and whenever I copy one file or a folder or anything, I cannot paste it anywhere. If I open Control Panel, the screen doesnt appear as usual, all the icons are on two columns on the lft side with a scroll bar next to them. If I try to open Add/Remove programs, it comes up all garbled. I was going to just reformat the whole computer but it will not boot from the cd rom drive now. And whenever the computer is booted in W2K and I try to browse the CD in My Computer, it just says "Please insert disk in drive...." Also, whenevr I restart, it sits on my desktop for about 5 minutes before it finally brings up the icons and everything. It has never done any of this, it just started this morning.

I went to Add Windows Components, added Fax again and nothing happened. Went to Printers/Add Printer and let the wizard add a fax driver and it came up with a Microsoft Office Document Image Driver on LPT1. Fax Console still complains there is no fax driver, so I'm assuming that's the wrong printer driver.I'd like to force the install of a printer driver but I don't know what port it's supposed to be on and where to go to look for the driver.

When I would play it, it would stutter, play a DVD disk slightly at less than normal speed, and the audio had a slight echo to it. So I bought a new one (an LG). After 4 months, it had the same problem. I replaced it. The new one has the same problem. My external DVD writer seems to work fine. So, rather than the writer, I think it might be a driver issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have put a DVD write drive in a dell computer now I am getting 3 short beeps when I try to boot up and it does not boot up. But if I leave it off for a few minutes it does boot up and works normal. I did put another memory stick in but it was beeping before this. Could it be anything to do with the power supply atx psu 250? I am not on it at the moment I dont know what type of bios it has. I have checked the two drives both seem ok when singly attached I did not need to but I have checked the memory 1 stick at a time seems ok. the other drive is a dvd rom plays but wont burn. Could it be a faulty EIDE cable I got a new one with the new drive but I did not use it.

I just got a new computer with an AMD Duron processor, 512 M RAM and Windows XP. Only problem is I've got no audio. I've checked BIOS and sound is enabled but Windows doesn't seem to recognize that the speakers are hooked up. When I tried to play system sounds from the Control Panel, I got an error message that said cannot play sound, your sound card may be in use. The computer was a gift that was bought used and the shop didn't have any documentation with the system. I think this might be a driver issue but I'm not sure how to find out which driver to try.
