Everytime i start my computer now for some reason i get a windows - no disk error and i have to click continue about 10 - 15 times just to make it go away.
My computer just recently started showing an error message on start up: "There is no disk in the drive, please insert a disk into the drive."? This appears after I start up the computer.
I get the mj view error code at start up.I also cannot shut down my computer(i believe the 2 are related) I have to do it manually so I just hibernate.Information was given to me that it could be the ebates moneymaker program installed.I checked for that and do not have it but i do have i give shopping window.Well, I went to remove this program and i cannot. The error code comes back everytime i click "remove"I also successfully removed 2 other unwanted programs so it seems that this program could be the problem. How can I get rid of the error message and this program? Do I have to contact the site itself?I have contacted H&P(4 days worth of computer emails)and they had me all over this computer with no results.
In a not updated Version of Windows XP you can run (Start-run) "start"command at the Run dialog just typing it, when you update windows andwrite the same "start" into Run dialog Windows shows a error message >Windows cannot find `start`. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for the file, click the Start button, andthen click Search. If you are in CMD the `start` command works fine but the problem is thein Run dialog windows doesn’t recognize it ?

I believe its a problem with the actual start up button instead of the computer itself, ive pried the thing open, seeing the generator is on, everythings in place and there are lights on, showing there is power. any ideas?
Im new, so bear with me please. The problem is on my old Sony Viao Model PCG-6H4L XP. I wanted to start fresh and the recovery system for windows gives me only a limited number of dates. I thought that the Viao recovery would do the job.I was wrong. I haven't checked recent forums about problems with this, so I went ahead and broke my laptop. Before the Recovery system starts, my laptop says, with a black background.

I went to bed 2 nights ago with a statistical program running on my computer. I woke up the next day to find a black screen with a small window with an error message. It said: "lsass.exe - System Error" "Object Name not found." When I click OK, the computer tries to restart.it shuts down, but then when trying to reboot it comes back to the black screen with the error message.
Ever since I removed my old internet security suite, I've been getting the same error message when my computer starts up. I've tried everything I could think of to eliminate it but have had no success.
The error message is as follows:
Windows cannot find 'C: /Program Files/Verizon/Verizon Internet Security Suite/Idx ClnR.exe.' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search.
The original problem may have had something to do with spy-bot search and destroy. A while back I denied a change made by index cleaner and made it a rule to deny that change each time it was attempted, thinking index cleaner was a malicious program.
This error message has been showing up every day when I start up my computer. I believe it started the day after I deleted all the temp/cookie files. I'm not sure where to go to fix this?
I have a problem this past few days about the start up of my laptop microsoft windows XP home edition version 2002 service pack 2. My computer is currently running Windows XP Home. When i turn it on i get the error message that reads: Sorry for the inconvenience but windows did't start successfully. It then asks me whether i want to start windows in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration, or start windows normally. If i i choose to use the last known good configuration, windows begins to load but then a blue error screen appears and the computer restarts quickly again to the same screen. If i choose any of the other options the computer restarts and eventually ends up at the windows loaded unsuccessfully screen. I would just use my Windows XP disk to either repair or reinstall windows but i use an external cd drive and it does not appear in the boot sequence.
I just bought a HP Laptop Computer and it has installed in it, Works for Windows. When I try to run the word processor part it come up with this message:
"The Application Failed to start because LTKRN13N.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."I click [ok] and the window closes. Then another windows opens and says this: Windows cannot access one or more required files. The files may have been renamed, deleated or moved. Try re-installing Works and then starting the program again.
Each time I boot up I get the following error: "Munins32_s.exe failed to start, unable to locate component, - LEARN32.dll not found." Can someone shed some lite on this for me and show me how to correct this please? And does anyone know what this "Munins32_s.exe" file is for?
I'm currently on my room mates computer. I have XP SP2 installed on my computer. I installed a new driver for my monitor today. I rebooted and after the bios and everything loaded like normal, instead of getting the windows XP startup screen I got this: "Windows could not start because file is missing or corrupt system32configsystem" Now for problem #2...when I start the recovery console off the XP cd...or even try to REINSTALL XP I get the following BSOD:so I can't run the recovery console, and I can't reinstall windows and I can't START windows.
When I rebuilt my PC (new mobo, CPU, memory & case) evrything went fine. Moved all the hardware from my old case to the new, re-formatted the hard disk, nice clean install of Windows etc etc. Problem came when trying to install software for my USB cable modem. The software included various connection monitoring tools but I kept getting an error message that a particular file could not be found. In the end I decided to use a LAN cable, (LAN drivers came with the mobo) give the cable software a miss - no problems! However, every time Windows now starts, I keep getting the missing file error message. I checked the registry to see if there was any chance of it being a 'run once' type of file but could'nt see anything (although I'm not overly familiar with the registry). As I said this is just a nuisance - but it would be nice if there was a way to get rid of the error message permanently.
Each time my system starts, or if I log off and back on again, I receive an Error Message that says--A newer version of this program has run on this PC--and then it asks if I want to close the older version. I have tried in vein to locate the problem but have had no luck. There is no obvious identifier for ther message (other than a the fact that the message appears in a Windows type box and has a small white circle with a question mark in it. I would appreciate any hints on locating the offending program so that I can eliminate the older version. Am running a P4 2.4 gig, 1gig RAM with Windows XP pro SP2 installed.
While my XP operating system is starting up I get an error message from Windows Explorer: "Cannot find 'file:///'"It's a not a show stopper, but I would like to know where it is coming from and how to get rid of it.
I have a set of USB ports on the front of my machine and another set on the back. My ports on the back work fine and if i plug in my 2 pen drives in it works OK. But if I plug them in the front I get the error
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
The ports on the front work OK with my digital camera and joystick and my pen drive works on every other machine that I have put it in.
Turned on the computer and got an error that said, Failed to start because UMPNPMGR.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Two problems I do not know what that file is, and the computer will not get past the error, so even if I did find the file how would I install it on the computer? My computer knowledge is only average so I am not knowledgeable enough to play with the registry. I tried to boot up in Safe Mode also, however it would not get past the error.
I am trying to fix a friend's computer. When starting up, I get the following error message:Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
but I got an error that c:windowssystem32configsystem could not be copied because it could not be found. The computer has Windows XP SP2.
