until recently i was able to pause the video, press print screen key, then open photoshop and open the image there. now when i try to do it i get the media player, but the screen part of it is black.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using WinXP and my PRNT SCRN key fails to capture the screen image, I know it should but it doesn't. Therefore when I try to paste into PAINT, WORDPAD or MS WORD with the PASTE command or with CTRL+V nothing happens. I have checked this theory by tapping PRNT SCRN or ALT+PRNT SCRN or SHIFT+PRNT SCRN and then gone to CLIPBRD EXE. to view the captured screen, but nothing is on the clipboard. I can copy and paste in other programs but cannot copy the desktop screen using the PRNT SCRN key. Any suggestions on how to turn on this feature?

View 2 Replies View RelatedTo illustrate a setting for someone at work, I hit the print screen button and tried to paste it in M$ Image. No luck with Edit button or right click. Every option is gray color. HP Image won?t give me any options except ask me if I want to scan. I can only do it in M$ Word. I have tried to set up M$ Image as default (tools>general options>Open images in Image, but it still will only work in Word. This isn?t that big a problem now I know it only works in Word, but what is improperly configured? Shouldn?t I be able to create a jpg of my desktop in Image to paste or attach to an email or in a forum such as this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI write a file in Word and then save it.Before I print it I usually go into Print Preview just to check things out.This time however it just showed me a blank box and the printer would not print.Everything was OK for a complete day and then the problem happened again - blank preview and no printing. This time switching off for 10 minutes and then back on had no effect.I have been trying most of today to correct things without success. I then copied it onto a floppy, put the floppy in my friends PC - same result as before
View 4 Replies View RelatedI previously owned a Lexmark Z25 printer and up to a certain point, it was printing ok. Then it abruptly stopped printing any pages. It sounded as if it was getting the signal from the computer, but nothing would print. Rather than buy new cartridges, which would have cost more than a new printer, I bought a Dell 720. Now, the color prints fine, but I cannot get the black to print. The cartridges are just about full with only a small amount out of the black cartridge.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAll worked as normal Printer icon would print automatically with default print settings; File -Print would bring up print properties dialogue box to select options.Unhooked printer from laptop. Since reconnecting printer, the print icon button reverts to bringing up the print properties box as happens with going File - print. There is only one printer attached - it is shown in "Printers and Faxes" with a tick. There is nowhere to check it as the default printer as it is the only printer.How can I make the print icon button just do straight default prints again?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an old Sony VAIO (running Win Xp) that I am using a print server. The VAIO is connected to a HP PSC. The VAIO is on a wireless network along with two other laptops. One laptop is running Win Xp and the other is running Vista. Everything was working fine as far as printing went until I reinstalled the OS on the Win Xp machine (same OS). Previously the VAIO would go offline due to hibernation and so if I tried to print something from the Xp machine, it would get in the queue and get printed when I turned the VAIO on. Now the print jobs are not getting in a queue when the VAIO is offline.I don't know what I did right before and so I don't know how to remedy the problem.

When I connect it to my PC using either the fire wire or USB connections, and commence video capture using either WinDVD Creator (Version 2.0B014.183C2W) or Nero Vision Express 2, I get lots of audio breakup as the video is being captured and during playback in the editing function. When I use Movie Maker, I do not get the audio breakup (unfortunately MM doesn't allow me to create DVDs).I defragged my HD with no effect. Later this week, my brother will be bringing his Sony camcorder so I can see if I get the same results using the same tapes. In the meantime, does anyone have any idea why this is happening? What's frustrating is that I did not have this problem when using the same PC, software and a DAC-100 capture device connected to a VCR.

Then, after approximately 5 minutes of capture, my PC freeze and I have to reboot it. Then I see that a 39 MB video file (.wmv) and a 468 MB .tmp file have been created.I have a notebook 2.4 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got this audio capture device for xmas and i plugged it into the wall then i plugged the usb into my computer. my computer instantly froze then shut off. so i unplugged the device and turned my computer back on. it started booting up fine but then froze and shut itself off. now when i turn it on it sounds like it boots up normal but nothing comes up on the screen. also, when the computer is off, but plugged in, there is a red light on the cd drive and a red light on the keyboard. i think something shorted out but there is no sign of damage on the mobo or ram. im hoping its just the psu, but i really have no idea. here are the complete specs:

I'm having some jitter in the capture of video through VIVO that I'm attributing to too many services running at once and using up so much resource. I can see it well enough in the final DVD production being played on a home DVD player that it is annoying. I can easily suspend the usual programs like anti-virus and such but there are a boatload of other services that run. If anyone knows of a program or a list that would indicate to me what services are mandatory.
View 5 Replies View Relatedeasiest way i can capture video's off my DV Camcorder into windows movie marker and if i can, have it automatically split the clips up into 4.2 gig sized movies..(the reason being i have a movie thats 8 or 10 gigs long, and i want to cut it into slices that will fit just right onto a dvdr) there is a check box when your recording the movie that says "make clips when finished" or something like that and it just seems to split my movie in half i think? i'm not really sure...Also does WMM copy the information DIRECTLY from the tape digitally to the computer so what i have is an EXACT copy of what was on the camcorder? (i.e. the FPS and screen size and image quality are the EXACT SAME? no gen loss?)..

(you know, single adult male had this pc and attempted to clean it up before letting me have it...THOSE kind of questionable files).Anyway, it's never been super speedy but since I loaded some video capture software (Capwiz, Ulead Video studios) a couple years ago it's been slow. I haven't really cared enough to try to fix it but now it's getting pretty rediculous. I found some stuff in msconfig that I disabled (one was WKUfind, or something like that. I feel like I remember seeing that on some spyware stuff before)

CONTROL PANEL> PRINTERS> OPEN and it says its printing just fine but it isnt Its in the front usb hub and tried the rear it dont make any differnence. The printer is on and its got paper etc etc.
I am using windows 2000 and I cannot print any documents. The printer works when it performs nozzle check but that is all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy P.C. worked fine for months and then suddenly wouldnt recognise my memory sticks. It won't print via the USB ports either. Power is getting through because i can charge my mp3 player and the P.C. speakers are powered vias USB. Device manager tells me the USB ports are working correctly. I've tried loads of stuff off the web but I just can't get them to work again. I even reformatted the drive and reinstalled everything, no good.
